This is invaluable for me for my online university teaching. Because of advanced age and living alone, my voice had become scratchy and old-sounding. Your warmup has helped me reclaim my previous warm and young voice. Thank you so much!!
I am so glad I got congratulated on having to pause and retry all the tongue twisters. Makes me feel like I didn't completely fail, this is a lot of fun, and it makes me feel a little less nervous.
+Francis Robert Walmsley I am glad you think so. I have a serrate channel dedicated to the speaking voice. It is aimed more towards English learners but check out the playlist for tongue twister, articulation exercises and projection etc. ru-vid.com
This is such a great video, it's been invaluable since I started working from home. I've been using it any time I have a client meeting coming up and haven't had any human contact to warm up speaking any other way lol. Has really helped to reduce any blocks or stoppages that can occur in conversation when you're too fresh in the morning and your brain is still trying to remember it can speak English!
Thanks for this. I've never thought to warm-up before talking in front of the camera but I just did all these and feel much looser and more relaxed in the face. Oh and you're super cute when you say "..and squeeze".
Hi Anna. Think you may know me by-y now-ow(I feel a song coming on!). First time I have done this lesson - I know, VERY naughty of me. I did my practices this morning as usual, then some singing. So because lunch time is now over, I used this video for a quick re-warm up. Many many thanks. Kind regards.
Hello Miss Anna...to practise quick voice warm up in this lesson...a several parts I can do it...I have to try it more. Thank you you've shared this video. (In this time your face like Monalisa ...(just tell joke)....
Are you a speech therapist? I have voice problems and I go to a speech therapist but it doesn't seem to help a lot (I've been going for 2 years now). I notice that you use other techniques then my speech therapist
Thank you for this. My grandfather taught me these excercises: Me Smart Fella, Me Fella Smart Me Smart Fella, Me Fella Smart Me Smart Fella, Me Fella Smart Me Smart Fella, Me Fella Smart Try it. Fart Smeller :) I slit the sheet, the sheet I slit I slit the sheet, the sheet I slit I slit the sheet, the sheet I slit I slit the sheet, the sheet I slit I slit the sheet, the sheet I slit
I have a neurological disorder called trigeminal neuralgia, as well as tics in my face, though I've worked hard to control my voice when they happen.. could you work with me, or is it too difficult to work around via something like Skype?
+Di West Hi Di. I would suggest this is something that needs to be worked on in person. There's so many things that need to be looked at simultaneously that doing it via Skype would likely be ineffective. If you can find yourself a vocal coach/voice specialist locally to you, that'd would probably be a better idea!
+D34tho Only do the exercise once or twice a day. It should ache quite baldy but a sharp pain doesn't sound good. Try reducing the number of circles to start off with. I have another channel dedicated to Elocution now. Take a look. ru-vid.com/show-UC8hdFthyzqk75cRpzFoQMdQ
Sadly we can't teach via whatsapp. But have a look at our recent video called 'Giveaway'. If you submit a video to us on RU-vid, we'll give you some advice and feedback.
