I just imagine this guy walking into Rellana's arena with a giant speaker, putting it in the corner to blast this tune during the whole fight indirectly telling Rellana she already lost lmao
using any fast hitting wseapon with quickstep makes the combat so much fun because you can be really aggressive and get abunch of hits in in while still having time to dodge immediately after
Quickstep is basically the og blindspot. Some slow hitting weapons like the greatsword are also very nice because you can chain the quickstep into a crouch poke. It builds stance pressure very quickly.
I’ve watched a video of Ralenna and Rennala fighting together as a mod and they work so well together it seems like they should have been a duo boss. Also, Ralenna looks so cool that I wish she could have been spared like her older sister.
Rennala works well with any boss who is a close range fighter and will take agro. She doesn't have a ton of damage on her spells but she does tremendous stagger damage. She works best as a supporter
The buff and talisman give quite suprising defend. When I first get 1 shot by her dou moon, I try apply magic resistant and suddenly can trade damage back to her very well.
I used quickstep for almost all the dlc bosses. Its perfect! Some bosses give very little time to attack but with quickstep not only are you out of harms way you can also just keep up the pressure. Literally destroyed messmer, midra and hog rider.
Quickstep was my goto back on release because unlike Bloodhound Step at the time it allowed for special Quickstep attacks that used the same animation as your backstep R1. Bloodhound did not, but had better mobility. Now that Bloodhound has been nerfed (basically deleted), it is actually a buffed Quickstep and now also uses Step attacks. Making Quickstep virtually pointless imo. 0:43 Had you used Bloodhound instead, this backstep you did would have cleared the attack successfully for instance, and you still get access to everything Quickstep can do.
@@seasonal_flu328 I honestly think they should ditch the rolling animation, it just looks so out of place especially when there're so many humanoid bosses/enemies in the game, all doing quicksteps style movement as they dodge.
@@apophisstr6719 def felt like this game begs for Sekiro or Bloodborne gameplay but we drew the short stick and got DS, considering they made so many bosses that DS style can’t or can barely keep up with in an interesting/fun way At least we have videos like this making the game “bootleg Bloodborne” or deflect tear videos being “bootleg Sekiro,” but that makes me wish From just made the game like one of these two to begin with, from the ground up
I'm glad I'm not the only one who finds Quickstep so much fun! I was struggling with what to put on my Blacksteel Greathammer very early on the game and ultimately ended up opting for the mobility of Quickstep on the slow weapon and I haven't taken it off since. So much fun to slide around, unleash a swing, and back away safely 🤣 Loved your use of it here as well!
Bloodhound Step on a Milady might be interesting. If only you can put Bloodhound Step on a shield and then 2hand to use weapon AoW or some new way to use two skills instead of one in Elden Ring.
I can't believe it never occurred to me to use either this or bloodhound's in the DLC. I even distinctly remember abusing bloodhounds for endgame in base Elden Ring lol
@@alexharvey7660 compare the bosses of Dark Souls and Elden Ring. Then compare the bosses of Sekiro. The movement, the aggressiveness, the attack chains. Everything were made to a combat far faster than what Elden Ring provides. You need to roll 10+ times before you can hit the boss once. But as soon as you put a deflecting mod or change the roll animation, everything clicks.
@@Vox_Essentiait really depends on your weapon type, your attack type. I can hit rellana pretty safely with a colossal sword every 3-5 moves of her usually. And with the amount of damage a colossal does, that is fine.
@@MartinPurathur yeah, dodge 5 times, being killed instantly if you miss and hit her ONCE. Rinse and repeat. Wow, what an amazing combat flow. Meanwhile I'm trading punches anime style on bloodborne and sekiro
still think that quickstep should have been something that players could do when in light load - Medium roll would be light rolls and heavy aka fat roll would just be medium and I think the games faster bosses would be so much more bearable to roll against lol
So basically just sekiro dash? I find it the most op out of all the defense options in the game. I mean you're virtually hit by a horizontal attack but still it whiffs. It's super obnoxius
@@mrjooxmanallah Nah not really. Strength builds are pretty nice in the DLC cuz you can just stun lock most hard hitting common mobs, like the Mesmer fire knights.
@@seasonal_flu328 Yeah for mobs. But for bosses, they pretty much suck. Bosses hit with unpredictable, yet long attack chains. Even fighting against Curseblades is dicey.
@@seasonal_flu328 I stagger them but rarely and I’m also using great stars. The bosses move so quickly that I have to use a shield and try to guard-counter.
Well done, I also used quickstep for this fight, usually I go for cragblade, but Rellana felt like quickstep was the right call for her: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VfaXuNRBZUw.htmlsi=BQryfXiVwbh1s-4Q
