Quiet On Set ... Lied !
I know it may come as a shock and be hard to hear for some of us, including myself, after watching and supporting this docuseries 'Quiet On Set', but they LIED!
It's not only ironic but upsetting that the Actors and Artists featured in Quiet On Set, a documentary about child exploitation on the set of Nickelodeon children's television shows, were also exploited by the very own producers of Quiet On set. Like What!?
Actor Raquel Lee who you may remember from the Amanda Show, came forward and addressed her issues with the documentary, specifically that she was not even informed of the content of the documentary when being asked to do it, nor during filming.
Meanwhile, former Nickelodeon host, Marc Summers was featured on a CBC radio podcast admitting himself that the Quiet On Set production team actually ambushed him as well, to which he responded by walking off set!
Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV
2024 ‧ 1 season : The docuseries - which originally aired four episodes on March 17 to 18 and then a follow-up bonus episode on April 7 - explores how producer Dan Schneider allegedly shaped the children's network Nickelodeon.

@@SAMEntalhealth I agree. I am sure Dan was not always a peach, but he in no way was anywhere near as bad as Brian Peck. Why are people spending their energy on Dan when Brian is not in jail and is living his life. Why are people not more outraged at all of the people who came to the defense of Brian Peck? yeah no society's oppressive and repressive systems at large absolutely don't care about the agency and protection of children and teens in general but also compounded sexual abuse survivors are very rarely fully vindicated and very rarely is rape or CSA reported let alone prosecuted and charged. my abuser in my childhood, aka my father, for years of this kinda behavior, only got 10 months plus 8 years probation ( meaning after 8 years he could leave the country and marry another woman with a child) and that's exactly what he did.

Im ganna get hate for this, while I believe Alexa on her trauma while at Nick I don’t like that she is now just attacking everyone.. Like lindsey shaw talked about her on her podcast because they used to be friends and she said “was” because she was referring to past tense as in “she was doing this in the past when we were friends” and Alexa went on a rant about her using the past tense claiming doing so was “acting like she was dead” I was like girl she didnt say IS because she is talking about the past when you guys were close she cannot speak on what IS or isnt happening with you NOW because she doesn’t know. While Lindsey has her own controversial moments, that one was just exaggeration on Alexas part. Now if you look at the comments its a bunch of people from Alexas podcast berating her for saying “was”. Stopped watching Alexa after that, being that way is just making you the same judgmental person that the people who ruined your childhood were.

I won’t watch the official documentary, but I’ve been listening to the stories of child actors for the last couple years. I remember being so depressed and alone as a child, watching them on TV wishing I could be as happy as they were. As an adult, I’m forever shocked to learn that I was and despite the fact that they were on TV, our situations were more similar than kids ever would have caught on to. It’s feeling like, Pre-Internet days, child abuse was so normalized that it was invisible. I thank every one of these child stars. They did their best as children to make these spaces for kids and today they’re opening doors for so many of us to really see, understand, and maybe even start to heal. They’re true leaders of my generation. Big bless to them all ❤❤❤

So even the documentary that was supposed to be about bringing the victims forward to share their stories, that claimed it was to try and help the industry evolve positively, and shine a spotlight on the backstage where the lights were off...still didn't care about the victims, and they were just trying to create shock drama for attention so its filmmakers could grow their fame. The lack of trauma coaching for this documentary...I'd love to say it was a dumb mistake, but at the same time I know filmmakers are cruel and unfeeling, but smart enough, to know that if they have their interviewees be more emotionally damaged onscreen, it'll get a stronger response from viewers, and people are more likely to share soundbytes and clips of their show across social media, because they know that's where a lot of their attention comes from. The fact that they're putting these victims out there, having them tell their stories, and quite possibly even further damaging whatever career they might have, for the few that came out of all this still having any interest in the industry...they're taking them, squeezing all the juicy trauma out of them, *on camera* , and then tossing them in the compost, the same as the industry already did to them after their shows ended when they were younger. I wish I could say I'm shocked by all this, but I mean the intro explains why that's not the case pretty well.

Soledad O'Brien is a current producer for her own company, and former newscaster for 2 major American TV networks, NBC and CNN, as well as a journalist with her own website. I don't know if she has had work done or cosmetic procedures on her face, but she seems to have a somewhat flat affect/reactions. She did feel kind of disconnected from the interviewees, but it also felt like the showrunners saw the momentum the documentary was getting and decided to quickly throw together some sort of response to that interest. O'Brien is currently the producer of her own TV talk show and had quite a few credits under her name. I did have to look her up to know any of the specifics of this info, but I remember her being popular in the early 2000s.

My idea to have a documentary that even Raquel thought was a great idea, involves including giving credit to RU-vidrs that have been making documentaries all of these years exposing a lot of this stuff that quiet on set seems to be taking credit for, just like Sloan as much as I may not like is channel, a video 3 years ago where it had Drake as the victim of Brian peck, but quiet on set kind of made it seem like they were the ones that are doing all of this investigation and taking the credit for it, my idea includes giving the credit to these RU-vidrs and more than just credit, however also includes a platform where the people that went through this run the show and not Hollywood producers that are out for a paycheck

Raquel is so right tho, it's really gross if the people making this documentary didn't tell the actors what they were getting involved in then dropped this massive bomb in everyone's lap. So no one was ready for what we all heard, no one knew what flashbacks they'd be subjected to while watching, no one was prepared to have those hard conversations with themselves because of this doc. I hope the actors are OK after this. It's comforting to hear that Drake went to rehab after shooting this, I imagine talking about that stuff had to be hard on him, even more so if they didn't tell him what kind of conversation they were going to have beforehand, but it's also scary to imagine him having to relive those memories and then having to go somewhere where he can get help. Like I hope it was his choice because he wanted to keep healing, and not because talking about it reopened a wound that made him lash out, you know? But I worry for Amanda, Jamie, and everyone else we know went through something and watched this doc without warning. We have no idea if any of those child stars are still dealing with this stuff, I just hope that they have strong support systems they can rely on as this fire continues to grow. Espectually Amanda because you just know people are hounding her for her story. It breaks my heart that as I get older everything I loved gets exposed in a manner that makes it impossible to keep enjoying it. I can think back to times that I saw something in these shows that struck me as weird, and to learn that that stuff wasn't just weird, but kinda malicious... makes it hard to enjoy life. Everyday you learn about another celebrity that you thought was a good role model but is actually a monster, you learn about pedophilia rings tied into everything you love, you see how shady everything is and how complainant people choose to be in the face of it, and it makes it hard to like things because you never know when something will be tied to a monster. At this point I'm terrified of learning about the dark history of Cartoon Network lol. Of the big 3 channels (Nick, Disney, amd CN) CN is the only one you don't hear this stuff from, atleast I haven't heard it. I just hope that CN hasn't been joining Disney and Nick when it comes to exchanging creditors lol.

I’m 32, I’ve watched the Amanda show, All that, Disney shows that she’s been a part of.. all I can say is I feel horrible. You watch these shows thinking these kids are doing what they love and having fun. In reality they were surrounded by demons. It’s hard to imagine what they physically have been through and I’m just sad for all of them. 😔

WAIT! Are people questioning why Drake didnt say anything till now when Bryan WENT TO JAIL for what he did to Drake!?!? Drake doesnt owe anyone an explination of what hes been through, especially not strangerd on the internet. He did what victims are supposed to do and tried to get help, he doesnt need to do anything past that. I swear majority of society is full of preditors the way people react to these things. Be mad at the people who allowed Drake to get abused, be mad at his mom for failing him, be mad at the justice system for being a fucking joke that defends preditors, be mad at Bryan Peck for forcing Drake into a cycle of abuse that hes found himself in, but dont be mad at Drake for not saying shit to society when he was a CHILD going through hell.

Is this the young lady on Amanda's show that was on the segment of the girl's room. Also, I remember when she was not on the show or on the bathroom or girl room segment the girl that play on parenthood had slightly replaced her on the girl room segment. N i didn't know she play the voice of the gross sister wow lol 😊. I always like her as a actress and on the Amanda and actually I just like black actors or black characters especially when there are not many. 😊❤ Much respect to her and pray she find some type of peace. I always wanted to be an actress since I was a child but you see stuff like this and you think again. But I pray for peace. I am going through different difficulties in my life has I imagined we all our going through in this world. I am dealing with haters and nepotism on my job. And my apartment building is nightmare. Smh. My family is so out of touch and estranged. And that may be small stuff but that is big stuff I am dealing with smh. My job and apartment is worse smh. I am dealing with 2 death I lost both of my moms to cancer. Anyway I hope for the best for her. And everything that glitter is not gold. So i wish her the best. #DisneyDiva ❤

This may be a hot take but I think she comes off like she's more upset about not being involved in more having more time, getting more attention. I don't even know why she would a subtle hint that she was abused too. As a survivor myself, I'm all for getting the message out there, for changing that industry, for protecting the children, but her attitude about not getting more notice about an extra episode she's in, or not being brought in on that small panel when plenty of people weren't in the panel - it just feels like she's pulling more attention toward her, and away from the problems.

In the words of Marcus Aurelius, "Are you not entertained?!" Stop watching these shows, networks, and productions. Just stop. Even going back and watching out of curiosity and "fact finding" is only boosting the syndication profits. Much love from one survivor to another. Guys, you are making great work making all these videos. I have two daughters, 23 and 14 years old. So Nickelodeon was like the daily bread in our house. I saw all those things that they are talking about, double jokes, p@rn "jokes" absent parents or stupid parents, lots of things. I just started saying g to my daughters: Don't watch Nickelodeon, I'm done with this stuff. All those kids were good actors, very, very good actors, it was sad to let go the shows because of all those ped@os producers. Adam Sandler needs to be investigated, too. Cause his films have a lot of gross stuff, too. I want to say something about all these documentaries, by the way. I have watched some and they are like to confuse. Is too much information I don't want to write a newspaper here, but let's remember that they want to change history, so now libertarians are na$is, and anonymous has repent and now is against Trump, and things like that, so we need to be very clear even in definitions, because it will end that a ped@ph1le is a good person. This is what 's coming. Watch the documentary of Brandy Melville, The antisocial network, the Alex J0nes "truth" and now this one, that blonde girl that is in this Nickelodeon documentary was also in the Brandy Melville one. Genuinely, I’m lost. Why is it a problem that Alexis and Raquel are not invited back for another episode? If it was a breach of contract, then I get it. But if the show runners have an idea they are going for for upcoming episodes and they’re not needed at the time, then why the ruckus or entitlement? I support their stories and empathize their traumas, but I’m just pretty lost! Can someone explain? It’s like if I appeared on the show and shared my story that I’m comfortable with telling, and the producers are like okay this girl has a good story but we find the other actor’s story better to bring back or have plans to bring me back in a much later episode, I won’t get butt hurt, I just wasn’t chosen. Am I missing a point? Thanks in advance for explaining!
@Black.hole.
@Black.hole. 19 дней назад
I don’t think it’s the fact she wasn’t chosen, it’s the fact that they told her that she would be in 2 episodes and at the last minute (literally the day the episode was coming out) and told her (not asked - issue of consent) that they were using her story in another episode. And on top of that, they didn’t tell people what the actual documentary was about. They’re being hypocritical. They’re “reporting” on exploitation and they’re literally exploiting and retraumatizing ppl.
@TheKimiChannel
@TheKimiChannel 7 дней назад
@@Black.hole. I appreciate the insight! Clearly it seems like the company is terrible with communication. A simple "Hey we were going through editing and see that your piece won't fit or would fit better in a future episode" beforehand would've been more respectful, but now they're blindsighted to be told when the episode actually airs. That can be traumatizing too!

It’s not that she needed anything but respect for her trauma. It’s the same as letting someone spend the night over and they mess up but don’t clean up, then leave. Her biggest issue they approached her about this doc, lied about what it was based on, then also they have a sit down and she’s not included. I honestly would feel a bit disrespected too. I’m good enough for the tea but not good enough to discuss how to solve an issue that I’m apart of. That is hurtful. Besides she’s on her platforms explaining how she feels and speaking out now right? So I think she’s got that part.

(And FYI : If you know someone doesn't like to clean up after sleep-overs, then don't invite them anymore. ) Lots of people who starred on a lot of these Nickelodeon shows are probably not going to have a chance or receive a grand invitation to share their part , but that didn't stop them from making their own videos going to other people's platforms and RU-vid channels and writing books about it ,and discussing their trauma's and what they went through while working for the producers. It just seems as though her trauma isn't good enough for herself ,where she believes it should be putting her back on TV and seen under some kind of limelight like all of the others.
