Kevin DuBrow was found dead at his home seven years ago today on November 25, 2007. At the time Kevin passed, it had been 25 years since Randy died. There's that lyric in the song: "But think of me/We'll meet again." 25 years after Randy's passing, Kevin and Randy were together again. We didn't think it'd be that soon. RIP Kevin and Randy, as well as one-time QR member Kenny Hillary. Fly on Thunderbirds!
Kevins voice on this is so cool. I always thought guys who sung like this were the backbone of our rock and heavy metal years. They dont cum around very often but are not really appreciated for their vocal style untill they are gone. You can never ever really replace guys who sound like this. This song will always remember me of him now rather than Randy. Kevin God Bless you where ever you are.
They 've met again suddenly in heaven and they are rocking again together like way back then... Rock In Heaven legends!! Randy Rhoads legacy will carry on for ever!
I was fortunate enough to grow up knowing both Randy & Kevin. I loved this song when Kevin first wrote & performed it with the "DuBrow" band, (with Greg Leon on guitar) at the Starwood Club. I always thought it was a touching tribute to a friend who had moved on... (and it was only about Randy moving on to his career with Ozzy, he hadn't passed away yet.) Sadly, they are both no longer with us... R.I.P. Kevin, R.I.P. Randy, "Fly On, Thunderbird"...
Randy Rhodes is and will always be the greatest guitarists to ever have been on this planet. Quite riot was his band and that makes them super special. I wish I could hang out with you guys. But for writing this song "thunderbird" God bless you guys!! I still miss him too. Thank you!!!😎🤘
Thanks for posting. Kevin at his best. Always a showman; and gave his best every night. Was lucky enough to see them a handful of times throughout the years. The last; in a small dive in front of maybe 300ppl- who all enjoyed the show as if it was in front of 20,000 like in the hey days they played for us like it was.. Thank You Kevin Dubrow- You are missed.
I haven't heard a quiet riot song with Randy I ever liked it must of been great for Kevin and randy to share a friendship but thank goodness Randy left the nest back then too

This is awesome! Brings back good memories. They were my first rock concert. 13 years old. Kick axe, whitespace, and quiet riot headlines. It was amazing! Left with a drumstick from frankie and 2 broken fingers!
I had the fantastic opportunity to meet Kevin well after the fame and fortune of the 1980s music died well away, 2005/6ish. I had the great opportunity to tell him that my indoctrination into the love of heavy metal was seeing Quiet Riot on Solid Gold in the early 80s singing “Cum on Feel the Noise”. Two memories I’ll never forget. Meeting him and that television appearance on Solid Gold.
@PerpetualLifecycle Kevin was known to be an outgoing person though, He always seemed to be energetic. Glad I got to see him with QR before he passed, R.I.P
I was a16 year old teenager during the golden age of metal and hate watching all the metal heads dying off.....Kevin, Ronnie James Dio, Lemmy, Frankie Banali....just sad :(...
This is one of the best songs I miss randy so much I started a rock band to help musicians get sober Borderline Delusion band Danny guitars and words Please listen to the metal playlist
@TigertailzBezerk Yeah, I can imagine that he was pretty eccentric and over all enthusiastic. I pointed out "Seems he's pretty high", though, he didnt necessarily have to be high but he talked so fast so yeah. :P
