Great idea. My hands are finding jars difficult these days. In Australia the stuff is sold as “drawer liner”. I have bought it at Woolies, camping stores and the $2 shops.
I use the grippy stuff under my fingers to do free motion quilting. Cheap as chips to buy. Will make some of these so thankyou for the idea. Merry Christmas😀😊👏
Great idea! I enjoy your teaching style very much. It is thorough but not condescending. Thank you for working diligently on the things you do. I always look forward to the things you have to show us!
Thank you for your reply. I’m going to make some last minute presents. Great idea. I struggle opening jars due to arthritis. Thank you for the demo. Happy Xmas Susan.
Good idea, I have pices of rug stopper left over from sizeing them under rugs. I like the idea of ribbon which is simpler and thinner than makeing a tape and the magnet is genius it can just sit on the fridge . Thank you.
It is similar enough but the holes are larger for a non slip rug. It is used for disabled people carrying a tray so their mug and plate don’t slide about. Sometimes sold as a shelf liner. I’ve seen it in blue, cream and brown - UK in Poundland.
@@eileenfb1948 yes, thanks for that. When I looked closely I could see mine was perhaps sturdier. Bought it in Boyes to bring back with me... Just in case! I know what you mean and will have a look for it.
I love this!! Brilliant idea. The non slip is sold in Poundland in the UK and other shops. I’ve seen it in small rolls. I have a piece of this floating around my kitchen so now I can get it better organised. Thank you, thank you. Now to make time for an extra little sewing project so I have something nice and homemade to take when I visit friends and family.
You may want to make sure that when you fold them to put them in the stocking that the gripping sides are together. Unless you are doing a video of a person having difficulties getting their gift out of the stocking.....😉
That's brilliant, I do use that shelf liner for jar openers. I like the idea of fabric backing, it also makes it easier to find in the kitchen drawer or to hang.
Thank you so much for this simple and useful hand jar opener!! why didn't I think of that? I sure will make a couple, I am forever looking for a rubber band to open my peanut butter yard. thanks again. What is next? I am waiting.... Josephine
Just in time for me as I was thinking of something different to make as a quick gift. Your tutorials are always fun and informative. I never miss one. Thank you and Happy Holiday!
