I agree with your latter point. I disagree with the first part. If all the black players had taken a stance together (or at least the prominent ones), the league would’ve been forced into a wall. They couldn’t get rid of ALL of them or their business would’ve went under. My ultimate point is, if you stand for something, it ain’t EVER a wrong time to stand on YOUR principles. Especially if they’re just. Either you believe in what you believe in, or you DON’T.
well fortunately it worked out 4 Colin Kaepernick : he made money from touring the country doing speech engagements & he still does & also he sued the nfl & won millions : so he is fine : I respect that his integrity was more important than money, playing football, or anything else @ the time that he took a knee : it says a lot about his character : very few people in the world would have done that : maybe 10 people out of billions of people smh...
Ok step up the journalism. Why did Wick not ask him about the Bill Parcell comments that he could not handle the pressure of being Dallas starting QB….Why has was cut after going 10 and 6……see Shannon would have asked that but Wick throwing 60 mph fast balls down the middle of plate
As much as I love Quincy Carter. Bill Parcells tried to help that kid when he was a quarterback there were a lot of drug test that when she called her failed that was covered and they tried to get him help. at that time in his life he could not handle the Dallas Cowboys quarterback that’s why it ultimately did not work, but I am happy to see that he has grown and that he is a better person I was a huge fan of him when he got drafted we did not surround the talent and Antonio Bryant if they could have been mature they could’ve worked out Antonio Bryant was a legit talent.
@@datrapprotv I know but as a journalist you have to ask the difficult questions. It is not about tearing down but sharing the challenges so it may help others in similar situations ….showing the redemption arc….
If Kapp had it to do over I don't think he do it the same way. I'm sure he thought he would piss some people off, & that was obviously his intention to a certain degree, but I don't believe he thought it was a chance he would literally get blackballed out the league. But it was necessary to put the NFL on the spot. The sad part is to see how so many blk folks forgot about him. Did they lil boycott for a season & went right back to watching games & the super bowl, after all the heat he took, losing his career to protesting for black folks
