Yep @Kadee Mallory - 13 days in an have no desire to drink coffee. I have found an alternative... called No Cafe by the Wholeearth company. It's not the same, but close.

I quit for 30 days now and I'm going strong. I was addicted for years and I used to drink strong Vietnamese coffee. I got tired of always going out to buy iced coffee or drinking a couple cups at home every day. I would experience anxiety and get the jitters. I was fed up as it didn't do anything for me. And To be honest, quitting was not as hard as i thought it was going to be. I refuse to be a slave to my terrible habits.

@@jarsshew2722 how is it going now? I've been on and off caffeine for like 3 times.. I started to think that quitting caffeine or any other food forever is impossible and not sustainable.. why not drink it in moderation? Instead of having 2 cups a day, why not 1 a day..? 1 every other day? I guess that's more reasonable
@jarsshew2722
@jarsshew2722 4 года назад
ADIGUNA I had a cup the other day after not drinking coffee for almost two months! Because I haven’t had some for a while, I can honestly say that I don’t feel addicted to it like I once was. This is a sign of progress. I am really happy about that. drinking a cup a day will not work long-term for myself. I don’t want to get hooked again...I gotta be strong mentally. By abstaining from coffee as much as possible, it helps me stay sharp!

I always felt disconnected from reality and nature whenever I was caffeinated. It completely pulled me out of the present moment. I realized, this is not how I want to how I want to vibrate: ungrounded, heart racing mind racing, creating stress that wasn’t there. Thats not how I want to show up in life or move through life. It’s not how I want to experience reality. Just like a newly sober person might not want to experience reality drunk anymore. At the end of the day I knew that quitting caffeine was a massive part of my spiritual growth and journey.

I am now 4 months without drinking coffee and in the beginning during the quitting process I had major withdrawals and headaches just like you. My advice to everyone is your life will be much better without the addictive drug (coffee).

Great video man, really enjoyed it. I also just quit coffee about 1 month ago, and I am never going back. I had to quit my job two months ago because of my health, I couldn't sleep, I had a persistent cough for over 3 years, I had anxiety, I was so tired I could hardly function, and I was having stomach issues and always running to the bathroom for the past 2 years or more. I also had huge issues with my lungs, I couldn't do any cardio because I would always go into intense coughing fit that would make me gag and nearly throw up. But after quitting, it has changed my life. I finally realized like you, that it is a drug. And I was having a pot a day, sometimes more. But I feel so much better it is crazy, I feel like I have my life back. My sleep is amazing, and I can FINALLY breath! I've been climbing hills I could never dream of before, I'm playing tennis again, going for long walks. It's amazing. I just wanted to share to help others out there realize the massive benefits to quitting, especially if they are chronic users. I wish you well man, keep at it, your positivity is inspiring! Cheers.

Now im attempting again and this time i do feel i can do it. I picked up a terrible case of flu and slepted 3 syraight days and layed around lethergic 5 days. At the end of my sickness i realize i had headache because there no coffee all 6 days. Im going with the flow. Yesterday took an easy 2 hour nap and felt awesome. Didnt feel the need to do extra things for the day, just chilledbat home and saved money and watched movies. Then what surprised me after i took a 2 hour nap that ended at 4pm, was i was ready to easily sleep again at 830pm. I slepted from 830 until 445 pm. I like the full sleep i never got before

It's funny that before my 160lb weight loss I used no caffeine at all, as a matter of fact never drank my first cup of coffee until I turned 25 a couple years ago. Now that I'm big into fitness and maintaining my body in tip top shape, I consume 500mg caffeine daily. I truly feel angry and depressed without a cup of coffee or pre workout. I might give this quitting caffeine thing a shot.

I'm quitting caffeine tomorrow after 13 years of drinking 5-7 cups of black coffee a day. I know it isn't going to be easy, I'm glad I found this video though and got the perspective of someone that runs as I run 6 times a week and was worried about the effect it would have on my running.

I’m tapering off caffeine because as a migraine sufferer I don’t want to induce headaches. This week will be my first week without coffee as I’ve gotten down to only a half caff a day. Does anyone here drink tea? I’m wondering if I should cut that out as well. Difference is I drink tea on occasion but the coffee has always been an absolute must in my morning routine.

Peppermint tea and rooibus tea really keep me from wanting coffee. Although the flavour of coffee and smell is amazing, for me it’s replacing that hot beverage with something else. As many times as you drink coffee have something else hot! The change is so drastic from when your energy is up and down all day, to a nice steady burn from sun up to sun set. Took me about three weeks to feel ‘normal’. To fight the headaches you could first lower your intake to decaf coffee (2-4mg)or regular tea (2mg) then later to decaf tea (roughly 0.2mg caffeine) and see where you want to go from there!

Rooibos tea, which only grows in South Africa, is naturally caffeine-free and great tasting with milk and sugar or without. Green teas also contain caffeine so Roobos is the way to go.

That's funny. I just quit caffeine, and I've also been doing 100 burpees a day. I'm going on year 2 now. Actually, I recently bumped it up to 150 a day. I've been drinking coffee daily, 2-3 cups, although I always drank fairly small portions at once, I think I would typically use around 22 grams of grounds per serving for the past 7-8 years. During this period I extensively used pre workout powders along side the coffee. I'm on day two of no coffee, and I'm experiencing no withdrawals whatsoever. I'm pretty dumbfounded, it's actually making it difficult to keep going. I'd actually rather have a headache right now and feel like shit so that I had something to fight through, but as of right now, nothing. I'm actually paranoid that I've been forgetting that I drank coffee earlier or something. Maybe it'll hit me soon, I don't know, but most people have had withdrawals during their first day.

@@CraigWilliamsUltra I actually did some counting with how many mg of caffeine I actually consume, I don't think it's even that much, I may consume around 250-350 daily and I'm a 183 cm, 95kg, 27 years young guy, so perhaps my situation isn't as dire as I thought haha. I usually don't need coffee to function in the mornings, I do just fine without it despite drinking it regularly for many years. I just purely enjoy the process of making it, sitting and drinking it, ideally enjoying some nature or the morning sunrise (early riser) as you showed in your video. Anyways, I don't think I'll quit immediately, I might just further reduce my intake. Cheers!
