But please provide session on slow pace mam Because it was on American accent little so little difficult to understand the some sentences and good gaps are there in between. Thanks for the wonderful series of videos for Salesforce CPQ. It is really helpful for newbie like me who has just started my journey with Salesforce CPQ. Would you be able to explain on how to dynamically change the columns in the Quote Line Editor without creating custom field with Field Name 'EditLinesFieldSetName'. Is there a way to check the fields that control the FieldSets? In my Org, we do not have any custom field in Quote object with 'EditLinesFieldSetName' but the Quote Line Editor dynamically changes the column headers depending on the Term.
This video is amazing, however I am not able to drag and drop products between groups, do I need to enable any settings for that?, however Large Quote Experience has been enabled in my CPQ package.

When creating the custom object in the Quote information section of the Edit Quote page, why are we giving the Field label name different from the Field name? According to the demo, I have given Field label - Custom view, Field Name - EditlinesfieldsName. I tried to by creating the option demoed in your videos and tried to create one more option called Cost_markdown_view and thought I had to give the same Field name - EditlinesfieldsName because I was creating one more option to the custom field (Custom View); it didn't accept the Field name, saying it's duplicate value. I thought the Field name connects with the option values displayed in the field however it didn't work that way. Please throw some light on why we have given the Field name differently. Thank you in advance.

I have a potentially dumb question about the cpq software product which is if a company already has a crm, internal company site and database for documents why is this cpq software a better option than adding a webpage that utilizes existing dbs to create accurate configs price lists and quotes?

A solution group is a predefined quote line group that sales reps can add to any quote. Solution groups are useful if you have a well-defined set of common quote line groupings. Instead of having to create groups every single time on each quote, if you already have a well defined set of groups (for instance, grouping by product family if your product catalog uses this for all products), then you can create solution groups in this case. You can save time by having these groups available right away rather than manually recreating them in each of your quotes. To enable solution groups, select Solution Group Enabled in your Groups package settings. You can then create and title as many solution group records as you need. When a user selects Groups in the quote line editor, they see a list of available solution groups below Add Group and Ungroup Quote. Selecting a solution group creates a group with your solution group’s title.
Question: Can we add CPQ managed package lookup fields i.e SBQQ__UpgradedSubscription__c to Standard Line Item Drawer field set ? I am facing issue, since in quick find box of standard Line item drawer field set all cpq lookups are not available in quick find box. Please can someone tell me if this is doable or not?
Mani, For the new set of columns to be displayed, we start with creating a field set in quote line object. In the video, I have created the cost plus markup field set with the necessary columns. After which, we have to create the Custom view field in the quote object, which will allow the user to select this particular field set we created. For this field to work the way we want, we use the Salesforce CPQ Special Field, EditLinesFieldSetName,to dynamically display different Quote Line Field Sets (or column headers) in the Quote Line Editor.

We are not aware of any limits on the fields per field set per se. Same for number of Groups in QLE. However, the number for both is driven by business requirements. It is recommended to show only 7-8 columns in the default view and add remaining fields in the drawer to extend the visibility.
Hi, I am interested in your ability to drag and drop quote lines between quote line groups. When I create groups, I only see one group on the page and have to select the groups bar on the right to see the other groups. In my instance, I am also not able to drag and drop any quote line items to different groups. Am I missing something in my settings or is it because I am not seeing multiple quote line groups on a single page?
Update: I have the answer from anoter post, you must go to configuration / Instaled packageds / CPQ - "Edit", in the "Line Editor" tab you must uncheck the "Enable Large Quote Experience"
