Can you make a two opening to a one way without buying another belt?

I'm getting two heads hitting, which is kinking the belt badly. Is this from the belt(s) being too long?

Am I missing something? Ive just bought the QL600 and parts dont match whats in this video. The "carriers" mentioned are not in the pack or description. There is a runner and a tackle but no carrier.

This doesn’t work well and would’ve made sense to turn the camera around, as well as not skip in the vudeo
