New R-1234yf Training Series for Auto Mechanics, the training program consists of three short videos hosted by Paul DeGuiseppi, former manager of service training for the Mobile Air Conditioning Society (MACS). It will cover system servicing of R-1234yf, as well as service equipment requirements, ensuring that automotive technicians have a working knowledge of how to service vehicles that use R-1234yf, which replaces R-134a. Participants will receive a certificate of completion at the conclusion of the program. The videos in the series are based on the SAE International standard J2845 “R-1234yf Technician Training for Service and Containment of Refrigerants Used in Mobile A/C Systems.”

Starting to use R1234yf? It started back in 2014. Today, almost all of the manufacturers are producing at least some new vehicles with R-1234yf to take advantage of the CAFE credits. Remember, this video is from 2017, more models and more manufacturers have been added in two years. The ship has left the dock on this a while ago.

Ok but to be more environmental friendly, can people with r123a cars give a try to fill their AC system with 1234yf ? Can the gases be mixed ?

Patents expire, new refrigerant! LPG is 10-30% more energy efficient, needs 1/3th the mass in refrigerant, operates at lower pressures and natural molecules cannot be patented!

This is what happens when big government gets in the way, instead of insuring consumers get quality for their money. I'm going out back to plant a money tree! Going to need it. Forget about working on your car any more just buy another one.
