This company is the real deal. While at Silver Kings I broke my clutch perch and remembered that this clutch system had the redundancy to fix my clutch and give it the EZ pull. I tried to buy it but he stopped me and asked to see my bike to make sure it would fit up alright. I rolled my bike around, went to the award ceremony, and came back. He told me that the system wouldn't work with how my clutch was broken and instead of selling me a very expensive part that I couldn't use, he repaired my clutch with his repair kit FOR FREE. He not only gave and installed a $75 part free of charge but more importantly he didn't take advantage of the situation and sell me something that I couldn't use. He launched the company at Silver Kings and immediately had lifelong respect from me
@@BERZERKERSV4 dont think that reply really makes sense to my comment. but even if something breaks with the EZ clutch pull system like Morgan explained in the video, you just back out a screw and youre back to youre old clutch. Not leaving you stranded
I totally agree with how this could be very beneficial for hard enduro or someone who does not have a normal functioning left hand. Anything that will help keep people riding dirt bikes longer is a good thing!
The Midwest is really hard to get dialed in. This is the first I heard of this one. Ingenious!!! Thank you Morgan. Anything that can help out my 62 year old arthritic hands is welcome. This might be a better option to try than relying on a Rekluse....
Really sir you've had lots problems with you mid-west leaver? What kind of problem sir ? Just curious mine have been excellent yes you have 2 adj. it 1 a month if you ride evey weekend or week but that was normal clutch wear 2 me gess I'll Starr double check that it really clutch needed adj. or the adj screw is moving? Haven't thought about that till right now could always a dot of blue locktite on it if this is happening.
At $400, I'll stick with my Midwest. Mine works fine on my TE300, and definitely helped reduce clutch pull and my fatigue towards the end of the day. I'm 65 and still riding...
best help I ever had is move your levers in so you are grabbing near the ball not the middle of the lever. end of my lever is on the middle of my grip (middle finger clutcher) If you are a pointer finger person, then you need to move it even further away from the end of the bar... I understand having it that far over if you have short fingers, but you never really need to fully disengage your clutch, maybe when its cold.
Worth checking out. I hated the Midwest, but I LOVE MY CLAKE one finger clutch. They are a bit finicky to bleed but an amazing piece of aussie engineering.
I have bad arthritis-to the point when I go to tap the rear brake in the air, my left hand can screw up and I end up tapping the brake before I get the clutch pulled in. I installed a Recluse so I no longer have to pull in the clutch, but simply putting a Flo clutch lever on eliminated my slow pulling left hand problem. Flo's adjust in more than stock, so you don't have to extend your fingers out nearly as much, which obviously makes clutch pulling quicker, but also easier as well. They install in a minute and only cost $70
I got mine yesterday - got my first dirt bike(2020 300XCW)at age 49, now 52, all I do is hard enduro, after hours of torture I'd go from 1 finger to 2 and 3 fingers working that clutch, Id get slower and sloppier making more mistakes and dropping my bike. If this can help a little bit, I got no issue spending $400. BTW I can see why its cost is $400, they put in lots of R&D to build this unit and from what I see it's a quality product. I will install it today and give my honest opinion after a long day of torture. I guess suspension and gummy tires makes you less of a man as well?🖕🤣
Morgan, are you still running this? How about a long term review video. I am looking at either this or the Clake. Lot's of information on the Clake and would love to see a long term review of the R&Duro. Thanks! Love your Beta content.
While I considered one of these for my 2024 300 XC-W. After much consideration I decided to stick with a Rekluse. I have had them on my last 4 bikes. At 67 years old, and bad wrists a Rekluse has several additional advantages than just reducing the clutch lever pull.
The site says for Brembo master cylinders. I guess I'm out with my Husqvarna then. Tok bad. I have used a clake before and it was very nice to use. Easy and good feel.
Its the break over in the stock clutch that bugs me for fanning the clutch for manual traction control. Like a gun trigger, the "wall" is undesirable...for me. I was hoping this would solve that. For me, this would just make more difficult to modulate with precision.
I wish you could feel it while riding. It goes away. My good friend (foxy bibs) who is much better than me, loved it even though at first it felt funny.
@@natipinko8484 I've improved the leverage ratio on my stock setup by moving the perch as far in(to the right) as possible. This puts my pointer finger towards the end of the lever. Doubles the resolution of the action. Helps. Will try the RNduro at some point.
I was sooo ready for the spring and innards to go SWANG across the shop. How much does the system weigh? I can feel the weight of Full wrap Bark busters compared to flags so do you notice it and is it unbalanced just the left side?
How adjustable is the lever itself? from the looks of it in your video it seems pretty far out, I use 1 finger, as the day goes on a second and third finger come into play. Lol. I like the clutch grab just pass my closed finger knuckles, don't like to reach too far. Can it be adjusted closer and still grab and disengage? Maybe 1 more video showing the adjustability?🤔 Thanks for posting.
Curious if you're still running the coutershox. If not why not? I almost bought one of those awhile ago. Money better spent on the RNDURO clutch lever? Does it work with a cable clutch?
I do still run the countershox. It wasn’t on in this video because I took it off for the hard enduro. I don’t think they help Much for that kind of riding. But my normal style they help a bunch.
It's reeeaallly tempting, but that $400 price tag I've decided is pretty insane for this tiny little gadget. I already thought the Mako price was asinine and I love that stupid thing. I think the "it's only $400" list is getting too long 🐒💸
Another great review, MidWest gave me a wider clutch engagement, which I like, but to set it up right, you end up with bad clutch drag. Not for me either
@@stangindude99 both are good. I like the R&Duro better because if at anytime you break something or have an issue (which I’ve never had), you can pull one small bolt and it’s back to normal.
I agree, not sure how this really stacks up to the Clake and it's the same price pretty much. Only benefit to this over the clake is that you can run flag guards and not be forced to run wrap arounds.
@@flingndirt_UT and if it has problems you can disable it fast. We have a customer with a clake and he has had it fail a few times. It needs to be bled often. Both are good. I just like this better because the lever feels like a normal one. The clake feels weird to me.
Having wrist issues and now getting arthritis in my hands anything that helps with relief is certainly a welcome item. I however still question how much it really helps, I'm currently using the MidWestEng lever on my 2020 300 XC but for some bizzare reason it's just not helping much on this bike where it's been wonderful on other bikes. So I've been looking at the Clake which is $425 but it's supposed to relieve up to 75% of clutch pull and this EasyClutch is only up to 30% for $400. Seems to me there is a significant desparity in what you're getting per dollar here?? The only reason I've not bought a Clake yet is that they are honking huge and you really need wrap around guards and I won't use those ever again as they were the cause of my jacked up wrist so yea, I'll pass!!! This new option sure looks nice but for $400 I really wonder if it's worth it for only a 30% reduction......
Hey Morgan, I've been off a dirt bike for a while now, and I'm looking to get something noob-friendly for single track/trail use. I have experience with the honda CRF250F that I enjoyed, and a YZ450F that I didn't enjoy (way too snappy/too much power). I've been eyeballing the Beta 200 RR and Husqvarna TE150i, and a friend mentioned possibly the Beta Xtrainer 300. I am a bigger guy and all of my friends are saying that the 150/200 won't cut it. Any input? Thanks!
the KTM clutch is hydraulic and is beyond smooth and a super easy pull...if you have a physical ailment on your left hand , sure this $400 no spare parts available gimmick may help.. The Yz250X clutch is cable , prehistoric and feels like pulling a boat anchor compared to hydraulic... BUT I ran a 6 hour NPEG event (Cancun Classic 2019) after racing a YZ250 for years and switched to a KTM 300 with a hydraulic clutch...zero arm pump and the Brembo felt like butta throughout the entire race... Why Morgan is pushing the grossly overpriced gimmick is beyond me...
Because it works. Not everyone needs it for sure. If you’re strong and you ride easier stuff then it’s not necessary. But if you ride the really hard stuff it’s awesome. Like I said, I could have skipped plastic and graphics and paid for it. Why are you being so angry. If you don’t like it then fine. If you think it’s dumb then fine. You’ve spoken your mind. Does it make you feel better to keep going? I’m not sure where you live or even who you are but if you’re ever near us, let’s go ride and I’ll let you feel it.
cool product. only works with brembo. i guess once you start using it you atrophy and can't go back. i'm a clutch abuser since I ride hard enduro on a 4 stroke. this looks promising.
@@racesla The Clake essentially does the same think with an adjustable, spring loaded cam however, the lever is much longer giving ton of leverage. The lever itself is unbreakable and for the same money, instead of just an add-on piece, you get an entire master cylinder assembly so you're stock one can go in your spares box. Also, because the lever is designed for true, one-finger use, you can adjust it to sit against the grip when fully disengaging the clutch if you want without hitting your other fingers. This is how I have mine adjusted and the engagement point is set about 1/2" from the handlebar. This lets me operate the clutch in the strongest part of my grip and feels very natural. There is no other clutch lever that can be setup this way and there is really no going back for me now.
@@motogp1gprix1I have to agree that even though I’ve never seen or heard of this device until now, I have a very hard time believing it’s better then the clake one light. My buddy has a one light and you can almost “feel” what the rear tire is doing through the clutch lever. I honestly thought the clake was a gimmick until I tried it. It works far better than I ever thought it would
This device is more expensive than Clake. The lever is still huge compared to Clake, which is very inconvenient to operate with one finger like on Clake.
@@highlandcycles I just picking Mr.Morgan I had 2 take my opertunity 2 keyboard fued with you like you did me about a year back when you made the Rotella & the cheats as I call them I use video have a blessed summer keep posting 4 all of us & don't stop the fun keyboard war we got going 😂🤣😂I like my cheats & my cheap Rotella & enjoy your videos & would enjoy a chance 2 meet & ride 1 day but be lil hard 4 me 2 do I'm in Alabama but hopefully next summer I'd like 2 come out mid west area UT,CO,MT mabey AZ idk we see
An answer to a non existent question.., Who has ever complained about a stiff, hard pull KTM/GG clutch?????? Um.. no one… and at $400.. YES $400 !… it is an absolute NO SALE…
Have you raced a hard enduro? No matter how light the clutch pull is, your arm wears out. This helps. Do you need it for casual trail riding? Probably not. Are there also people who have damaged and less than perfectly functioning left hands? Yep and they would love this.
@@highlandcyclesnfortunately in Florida , Hard Enduro is no where to be found…. We have sugar sand, mud, humidity and mosquitoes….. I can see the value for the less fortunate with limited left hand function… but numerically, that number is insignificant …. Big fan of your channel and hairline !
When you are riding tight black diamond with constant bulldogging over and over it doesn't matter who you are. It wears you down. This looks to be a great product. As Morgan said a lot of parts on these bikes are expensive. Especially the ones you break because of poor clutch control due to fatigue.
Why do we even have a thumbs down if we can't see it. Keyboard warriors are out in force today!! I'm in the camp of being grateful to Morgan for presenting and reviewing this.
