My husband was legally mentally disabled, and he never would have dreamed of taking ANYTHING that didn't belong to him without permission! Just because you're disabled doesn't mean you get to steal from others, whether you're hungry or not, or that you're not responsible for your actions! People need to stop using their disabilities to behave badly and try to get out of the consequences! They give people like my late husband a bad name, and he was a good and honorable man!

Then the son had the absolute gall to call the landlord angry because he called the church to let them know about the hypocritical behavior of their pastor and his son is again beyond stupid. If he was about to be fired, Sam had two very easy options available to him. 1. Don't steal other people's food instead of making your own with the stuff the company gives you for free. 2. Don't suck so badly at your job that you're on the threshold of being fired. The fact that he's handicapped is irrelevant. He's still a person, and that cuts both ways. Treat him with the dignity of a regular human being, but don't fall over yourself overaccommodating for him just because he's handicapped. If he's about to be fired it's his own damn fault, if he really valued his job he'd try to be better at it or he wouldn't steal food, preferably both at the same time.

I once had to fire an older man we'd hired for a forklift position. He told us upfront that he was profoundly deaf but used hearing aids. Ok, all good! However, once he got the job and was driving the forklift, he was damn near running people over right and left. We'd be screaming at him to stop, go left, go right, etc but he wouldn't. Turned out he decided that wearing his hearing aids was inconvenient now because of the echo in the warehouse. I spoke with him, told him he was a danger to everyone because he couldn't hear them and he absolutely had to wear them in this environment. Next day, same thing happened. So I had to let him go. It wasn't because he had a handicap, it was because he refused to use the tools provided for his handicap, thus becoming a danger to all.

Scooter Karen story reminded me of a situation that happened to me at the walls of marts about a year ago to me. I'm a disabled person and in my 50s driving one of those scooters to the check outs I see the register isle that I liked to use and headed towards it. Before I get there I pulled over to the side to allow a late 20s to early 30s woman coming. Well she stopped directly in front of me with about 3-4 inches in front of me. I told her that I'm wanting to enter this till and asked if she could go around me. She didn't like that at all and then proceeded to berate me for thinking that I was privileged because of a of my disability and refused to move and told me to go around her. I asked her if she really wanted to go like that and she called me some not very nice things. Well here we are scooter to cart I take a deep breath and just started to go straight with her in my way. She moved lol

Here's my cynical input on that last story. Mother brushes it off as "boys will be boys" and "buy him a dirty magazine" upon hearing he is stealing sister's underwear. A few years later, brother comes out and tells mother he wants HRT to transition and live as a woman, and mother loses her mind screaming her "what has this world come to" crazy rant.

Story 9: Actually, the best case scenario, IMHO, is that her brother may actually be genderqueer or discovering some trans affinity, and has taken the underwear because they wanted to find out what it was like to try wearing something like that themselves. This sort of thing is not uncommon in the early stages of this sort of self-discovery, and has nothing to do with any kind of sexual desires, etc. It is simply a convenient way to get access to a type of clothing which they otherwise feel is out of their reach, but they find themselves curious about and drawn to nonetheless. IMHO, she really should sit down and have a serious talk with them about the situation, and find out exactly what is going on and why. If this actually is a sexual thing, then he needs to be told in no uncertain terms that it makes her very uncomfortable, and doing things like stealing underwear from _anybody_ without their permission is extremely disrespectful, it is an invasion of privacy, and is actually a form of sexual harassment, which is not OK. Try to approach the situation calmly. In many cases like this, the real issue is just that the boy has never actually thought about the situation from someone else's perspective, and forcing him to think about how it makes the girl feel and the actual reasons why the behavior is inappropriate in general will often be enough to make him actually not want to do it anymore. But if he still refuses to stop doing it, the most effective approach would probably be to threaten to make the whole thing public to all of his friends/school (which he almost certainly will not want to happen, so hopefully that will be enough motivation to make him actually stop). Worst case, if you cannot get him to stop, and you still get no help from your parents, this behavior _is actually a crime,_ so you can call the police and report it to them, if nothing else works. However, if they are actually doing it for other reasons, such as trying to better understand their own gender/sexuality/etc, then I would encourage trying to be supportive, as this can be an extremely difficult time for somebody to go through, and they could probably really use a sympathetic ear far far more than angry threats or punishments. Maybe offer to help them obtain that sort of underwear that they can have for themselves, so they don't have to steal things from you, help them figure out whether it's just curiosity or there's something more fundamental there, talk with them about what it's like being a girl, etc. It's also possible that there is something else going on here, and maybe they don't want to do it but actually have some sort of compulsion and cannot stop themselves, etc. In that case, it would be best to try to help them talk to a professional about the situation and help them work through it, before it potentially gets even worse and becomes a much larger problem in their life. This may actually require doing things like setting up an appointment for them yourself, and going with them when to make sure they actually go, etc. (Also, note that if it is sexual in nature, that still doesn't necessarily mean that he's actually sexually attracted to you (his sister). Quite often in cases like this the underwear is just used as a stand-in prop for some other fantasy, like pretending that it actually belongs to a girl he likes instead. Yes, it's still a bit creepy, and still completely unacceptable, but it's important to understand that it doesn't necessarily have anything to do with things like incest or attraction to you specifically.)

Guy next to him would order for himself, but never get fries. He preferred reaching over to take fries off the other guy's plate. He was warned, every week, to order his own & keep his hand out of his plate. After a few months, he gave the guy a final warning. Guy got a little smug look on his face. Next time, grabbed fries as usual, & had a fork stabbed into the back of his hand. Shock! "I warned you, get your own!"

Story 3: I had that happen to me & learned the hard way from my mistake. Was 6 months pregnant working a temp job. Karen's daughter was pregnant with a boy as well. After hearing the name, she ran to call daughter & apparently daughter Karen wanted the name! I was further along than she was at the time & delivered 3 weeks early. Not to mention, I would never see them after the job was over. But now... now you hear the name Grayson EVERYWHERE!!! Most that I know are younger than my son, so idc🤷🏽‍♀️😂. Actually, he just had a son of his own & I NEVER said what his name was to ANYONE!!! 😂 So yes, name stealing IS a thing. Story 4: so the renter/pastor could only PREACH the 10 commandments, but couldn't ABIDE by them. What a great example of a "good Christian".🙄 Story 5: A dummy stealing a dummy, but can't call for that ride he's gonna need!! Maybe the popo can give him one??!!😂 Story 6: should have taken EVERYTHING out of the scooter basket & put them ALL on top shelves!!😂😂 Again, I'm disabled, but I'm not a thief, nor am I a rude a$$ who thinks they own everything, including all the floor space in the aisles!! Story 7: sorry, but it's THAT easy to turn him against his wife & kid, there would NEVER be a second chance!! Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. And there will more likely BE a second time!! Story 8: how much are we all willing to bet that the entitled twerp blamed EVERYONE else for all the problems she was having??!! She better be glad the OP was nice. Otherwise, I'm with Fluff on it all being left outside the room. 🤷🏽‍♀️ Story 9: uhhh, WTAF???!!! That's absolutely disgusting, for one. Story 2: both my parents are also handicapped as they both have arthritis in both their knees (anyone who has arthritis will know how painful it is) however they don't use their handicapped placard as a get out of jail free card to steal other people's food, so any arguments this guy has goes up in smoke

"Stolen" fries story: And given that you don't know anything about the woman's medical conditions or where her hands have been recently, I'd be throwing the rest of those fries out, very visibly if the woman was still watching. Workplace stolen lunch story: Yeah, Sam was USING his handicap in order to get away with his bullying stealing food. He wasn't going hungry as there were options provided by the company. Civil war name story: It also served as a warning to Tina not to try it again with any future pregnancies. She would never know if the name was a real choice or not. Thieving tenants story: If I was one of the church elders, I'd still fire at least the pastor. I would not want this so-called Christian pastor setting an example that it's okay to steal in my church. RA story: I would have packed up her stuff the same, but given it to the resident manager or some member of senior faculty. Someone that entitled could try to break into the room to get her stuff and steal yours while she's at it. Underwear thief story: OP, what you do is treat some of your underwear (what you found in his room) and possibly even some of HIS underwear with itching powder. If he's doing what we all suspect he's doing, he'll quickly lose the urge to do it with YOUR stuff. Make sure to thoroughly wash your things afterwards.

Last story: I actually understand, children can be curious. Creepy behavior isn't acceptable so the real lesson is teaching boundaries and respect

Story 9: "What the hell do I do?" Get an unpickable lock for your bedroom door, and don't even give your mother a key.

For the last story, the simple remedy is to insist that since he had to take it then he must wear it. No arguments. Speaking as a mother here, this is what you do. There's no problem here. He's bound to look gorgeous.
