story 2: Make no mistake, OP, *YOU* Didn't do anything wrong. *YOU* didn't destroy your family. Both your husband and your mother did. They knew what they were doing and they still insisted on it. The only question in my mind is who is worse, Your husband for cheating on you with your mother, your mother for stealing your husband, or everyone else for trying to place the blame on you.
I would say at the start the mother at least, there might be a pressure of not say no on his side at the beginning when they depended on the parents, later hard to say.
I don’t think they took the ex side I think they just didn’t take ops side which I completely get. Op didn’t call them and tell them “hey I’m about to tell you something very hard, but dad might not be y’all’s dad” no she announced it to the whole family at once. And also op doesn’t say if the dad is still treating them as his children or not, he very well could have said this test proves you’re not my kid so you’re not my problem. Honestly while op is not in the wrong for exposing them and getting a divorce, she is absolutely in the wrong for this. Her life and her fathers lives were not the only ones ruined and in a way depending on how the rest of their family treated the twins after it was found out, arguably they got the much shorter stick then op because they might have just lost an entire part of their family for just being born and they weren’t even given a chance to comprehend what they were told like op and the father were, they were blindsided in a room full of people. I honestly don’t understand why people are shocked that they went no contact with op, especially because no where in there does it say how the consequences of this affected them or if they stayed in contact with the mother.
2. That’s so disgusting how they went NC with the victim for exposing the cheaters. The mother basically GROOMED her daughters husband and even had children 🤮🤮 the grandmother/mother is a predator 💯
In an update (DarkFluff didn’t read all of them), she said that the twins are/were mad at her for exposing the cheaters that way instead of telling them (the twins) first.
In an update, OP revealed that her siblings were only mad because she revealed that the person they thought was their dad might not have actually been their dad at a semi public event. They wanted to be told about something like that privately beforehand before she told everyone else. I don't remember if she was able to fix her relationship with them or not.
Story 3: Well, the sister should’ve thought about that before deciding to spend on herself like it was Black Friday. It's OP's inheritance, and if OP wants to put it all into medical school, then that's it.
Use the money to get an education that will save people's lives, or spend it to extend the life of a family that had prior knowledge of their own health but did nothing to prepare for it and will likely still not prepare for it in the future if they live. Hmmm, which one is the better investment.
Ruin what relationship??? Sister/husband didn't want her living with them. Only interested in her now cos they need money. By all means give up YOUR WHOLE future for people who aren't interested in you till they want your money. 👿 ENTITLED MUCH!!!
Story 1: Pay stupid games win stupid prizes. Did that Karen realize that installing the gate was embezzling HOA funds and actually prevent rescue services from helping in a timely matter?
@@lancerevell5979Unfortunately that would be illegal in the US. You can't deny someone of emergency services without a good reason. And if their house caught fire or they needed an ambulance and they didn't come, she'd have grounds to sue and win.
@@ShadowReignhartthat's only if she survived the fire, I'm 90% sure a karen would be deluded enough to ask to speak to the inferno-currently-consuming-her-house's manager
I would have called the police 🚔 the first time the chain went up. Deliberately blocking emergency services from doing their job should be a felony if it isn't already
Story 2: And for what reason did the mom have for doing all this s**t, leading to the family breaking apart? Is it just because she is that much of a slimeball, or to hurt OP like any narcissistic parent would? Well, no sympathy from me, see ya
I had a mother similar to this one. When someone is a malignant narcissist, they HAVE to be the one on top no matter what it costs. They have to be prettier, smarter, funnier, sexier, etc. When daughters start coming of age they will often compete for sexual attention against their own children because they cannot stand anybody getting any positive attention except for themselves. They believe that they are the ones truely deserving of the attention. This can go all the way to seducing their own children's partner, because in their mind this proves that they are still the sexual 'top dog' and can take anything they want from whoever they want. So more than likely the whole affair was this mother's way of getting one over on her daughter because her daughter bruised her ego somehow. My mother would routinely expose herself in manufactured incidents whenever I had guys over, she flirted with some, tried to get them to come over when in wasnt home by offering them booze/drugs. She had her own bathroom in her room, but when she knew I'd have male guests she used the shower on the other side of the house so she could walk through and drop her towel and go *oppsy poopsy*. I knew she did it because she hated the attention I was getting because if she didn't get the reaction she wanted she would spend the rest of the night after they left calling me the ugliest bitch alive.
She's a narcassist, as seen in the later updates if I'm remembering right, and as for the husband, while it doesn't excuse what he did, it does explain it, I'm like 80% sure he was groomed, it's been a couple months since I heard the story, so I don't fully remember, but I'm pretty sure he was groomed from a young age, and the only reason he started dating OP was so he could be close with her mom even when he was no longer a youth at their church. Because OP's mom abused her position as a youth leader at their church to touch kids.
Story 4: The fact that the Aunt couldn’t tell the difference the Karen memes and herself had me laughing. And she basically confessed to being a Karen in front of the entire family when she showed the meme pictures in front of everyone and said they were about her 😂😂😂
Not all HOAs are Karens. I'm president of an HOA of 6 owners. One owner wanted a gate across our private parking lot, to keep strangers out. It would also keep out the trash collectors, mail carrier, and delivery trucks. The Board shot her down.
I grew up in an HOA neighbourhood. One of our neighbours was a massive Karen who hated us specifically because we were a young family (or so I assume, they were retired in any case). Our arguments with them got several strangely worded bylaws changed in our favour (e.g.: lawns have to mowed on or before Saturday at sunset between months X and Y changed to lawns must be mowed once a week because they complained that we did ours on Sundays). Our HOA dues went to upkeep and improvement of three parks in the neighbourhood. The HOA board always tried to settle disputes reasonably, and gave people plenty of warning to fix problems or make their case why a problem should become not a problem.
@@Mernom that's probably most people are offended by the very basic concept that your neighbors can tell you what you can and can't do on your own property and have the backing of law. To add insult to injury you are required to pay them for this. There is no such thing as a good hoa full stop.
@@blender4464 Not exactly law, as in legislation written and passed by a government. They have the backing of contract law because they are built on contracts.
Wait, so the husband of the older sister has chronic health issues, and instead of putting the inheritance money towards his treatment, she decided it made more sense to blow it on luxury items? I could kind of understand if the husband had a sudden unexpected health problem, but that woman is totally selfish/self-centered. I hope the younger sister doesn't give any money to her. Let them solve their own problems themselves.
Fully agree. Also, if the OP can become a doctor by having the $$$ for Medical School, she'll probably save more than one life over the course of a career.
Even if he wasn't sick, blowing the inheritance on bling and overpriced trash was Kevin-level stupid. But that's how way too many people are. People are out there buying $5,000 ugly handbags and my Lady Wife is sad that her favorite purse ($12 from Target years ago) is getting ratty looking. I was thinking of getting a copy of that purse made by a leatherworker (cheaper than a designer bag) but she shut that down quick.
@@ostlandr I have the feeling that the adultery wasn't the only, and not the most relevant, reason she was let go....... She slept with a minor. She groomed a 17 yo ! OF COURSE SHE CAN'T BE TEACHING KIDS THAT F*CK*NG PEDO
Story 1: Everytime I hear one of these "Karen refuses to be a nuisance" stories I always remember Bugs Bunny's famous words; "Of course you realize this means war"
Refuses to be a nuisance??? What? Do you mean refuses to comply? Or that they’re being a nuisance? 😅 This is a confusing one. I agree with the sentiment of it though. 😊
The reason the family in story 2 hate op is because she forced them to change their lives. People hate change, and now that they know ops mom and ex husband are shitty people, they cant ignore it and move normally in life, which makes them resent the person who exposed it. Its stupid but people are stupid
In the immortal words of comedian and social philosopher George Carlin: "Think how stupid the average person is. Then remember that half of them are more stupid than that."
The 3 youngest siblings are only mad because they weren't told that their dad might not be who they think it was before the rest of the family was told. It's something that involved them directly, so they felt they had a right to know. I don't remember why the other sister was upset. She probably just wanted to choose her mom's side.
Albert Einstein once said (probably morethan once but at least once) the only two infinites are the universe and stupidity and he wasnt sure about the universe. I'm not sure of the exact quote but that's close enough.
The HOA story reminds me of pictures where firefighters have broken the windows of cars to get the hose through them, when the cars are in front of a hydrant.
There was another HOA chain/gate story where they were blocking access and escape. It was impeding access from fire trucks and escape by residents in an area rife with forest fires. With recent disasters in mind, that could have ended very badly.
As the OP said, when it was just a chain, there was no real big issue. It only became a big issue when she added the full blown gate. Plus, the Fire Marshal probably inspected with the police there.
@@ShadowReignhart In regards to that situation, the Fire Marshall doesn't need the police there except for transport to jail if needed. They have arresting power in certain events, such as arson, and can impose fines for endangering the public and creating or becoming an obstruction to impede rescue vehicles and personnel.
Story 3: She blew through her inheritance, and now she wants to spend YOURS? She can pound sand, and start selling off all of those unnecessary expensive items. Sell those luxury cars, and get one that fits the family; no bells and whistles necessary. Her husband is ill, so he won't need a vehicle, so just buy one with the money that you get from selling off the expensive ones. With her inheritance, did she not think of getting health insurance? Not your fault, and not your problem. NTA
Story 3: I am retired now but was a financial planner's assistant. I was always amazed at how many young adults squandered inheritances/insurance money. We always suggested taking a small amount and having fun with it (human nature, especially when young) and using the bulk to prepare for their future. Amazing how seldom that advice was followed and the money was gone in a year or two, usually with nothing to show for it except a fancy car that was too expensive to maintain.
It's even said when it comes to inheritance, people can't wait to get the money just so they can spin like crazy with it. Only for them to be in trouble later. And I'm kind of just talking about them wanting the person to die just so they can get the stuff. The love of money is so bad these days
When my FIL died, instead of selling his house and land (where we were already living) we took out a mortgage and bought out my BIL's half. So he and SIL ended up with over $100k back in the '90s. As I understand it, they didn't have much left after paying off all their credit card debt. And I'm sure they burned through the rest. All they have to their name is the tiny house SIL insisted they buy at the peak of the market in 1988. I think they were still upside down on their mortgage when the crash of 2008 happened. Last I knew they were trying to sell it, but no takers so far. Meanwhile, the family homestead has gone up in value. We had to dip into the equity a few times when things got rough- but we had it there to tap into. Paid off this September. We're not rich, but we have a decent net worth and almost no debt other than the mortgage.
They could have, but he said he didn't want to damage the truck. If they couldn't get past the impediment, or the lady had actively stood in their way, not only could they physically move her but they could also have her arrested. At least, in any jurisdiction I've heard of such a circumstance.
Story 3: respond with pictures of her cars and other luxuries “you want to trade your happy family for THIS??? You need this more than healthcare?!?” See what she says
Story 2: The young twin boys came around, they were upset because it came out the way it did vs OP talking to them. Her oldest sister that picked the mom's side knew about the affair the entire time or atleast knew the mom was cheating on the dad for years. OP's mom basically blamed OP because OP's mom had PPD when she was born and the dad didn't help/care so the mom started resenting her. OP's mom DID groom the husband because she slept with him when he was 17/18. Also husband wanted to leave OP around this age because of the mom grooming him. But mom manipulated him into staying and eventually marrying OP so the mom could sleep with him more. I also think OP's mom got arrested cause husband dumped her few months after they got exposed and she showed up to the house and was trashing the front yard and the cops too.
Story 2 I remember it in another channel, there was a lot of updates of this. Both op aunt and grandma tried to say the cheating is hereditary with ‘egg donor’ which is bs thing since it’s not, also grandma showing sign of dementia and senility as she targets ‘ED’ and harassing her. Op divorce went smoothly as she sold her share of the company to a worker there and became partner, her dad sold the house, not sure if ED gets anything. The rest of the update gets worse about op’s ‘Egg donor’ actions. as well let’s say she used her position to G word op’s ex in early high school . Then pretty much her twin sons don’t want anything to do with her as she got violent in op’s sister house and got arrested . Op , her dad and sister got protection against ED. As of her kids and grandkids that knew what she did, want nothing to do with her. since her life is officially ruined since after all that she went into hiding cause well she chose this and now have to live with it.
#2 - Heard the story before but still appalled by it. The only one who ruined mom's reputation was mom herself - with her disgusting actions. Just wow is all I can say. I hope OP and her dad can heal and move forward, but how devasting the entire thing is. And no, OP is NTA for telling all the adults in both families. It is not her fault that ex's family doesn't believe the truth, and are they trying to say she was wrong to divorce him? They are all friggin' nuts!
If I lived in that first HOA, I would have gotten all the neighbors together & suggested either voting said President out or filing a class action lawsuit.
I was wondering about the people who live in the neighborhood. Do they all have keys to the lock. Isn't this neighborhood older? So they would have to get out of their car every time, drive thru, then get out again to put that chain back up. Even when I was a young driver, I would never deal with that. SMH 🙄
@@lianabaddley8217they probably just take the long way around, which is what she wanted the fire/ambulance crews to do also. She needs to be fined each time it happens…
Story One: The Fire Brigade could ram the gate and get Karen and her HOA pay for the damages to the engine. I have seen this before when a m0r0n blocked access to a road with a lorry/truck and had his vehicle punted out of the way by two engines and he had to pay over £100k to repair them. Story Two:
Oh Fluff how we missed you. Me and my 6 month old always await your return. He always smiles and laughs when he sees you talk amidst stories. We love you.
Story #1 if anybody involved with one of these calls died, I suspect that a wrongful death lawsuit based on impeding emergency access would have brought a hell of a lot of attention to the chain.
Last story: The aunt reminded me of a guy that was in my dorm when I was a young man. He was a royal pain, and was always trying to do things to annoy me. So one day, I walked to my door as he was banging on a rail in the hallway knowing it was annoying. I said, "So tell me, are you a moron or an idiot that doesn't know how to act?" He got red faced and said, "Why did you call me a moron?!?!" I said, "I didn't. YOU just did". Watch what they identify with, and they will tell you how they see themselves every time. He quit his garbage, but every time he would see me in the hallway... if looks could kill.
In my City, ALL Emergency Services Vehicles (Ambulance/Fire/Paramedic/Police) have been fitted with a reinforced front frame and Ram bumper and if they haven't authorized a gate/chain blocking an access, they don't even slow down when they reach it when responding to a call...they can and will smash the barrier out of the way and keep right on going to the location of the call and if ramming the barrier damaged the vehicle, then the Police will investigate who installed it and that Person WILL be Charged with both the cost of the Repairs to the Emergency Vehicle as well as the Crime of interfering with Emergency Response...if you block the Vehicle from smashing the barrier by standing in front of it, then either one of the other people in the truck will physically drag you out of the path as the truck smashes the barrier or, if there is only the Driver, then the Police will be called to Arrest the person and if you resist being moved or fight the Officer, they will TASER your ass and drag you off the road as you lie there doing the Dying Cockroach, then cuff you when you stop twitching...
Actually this post has a lot of updates which without reading leave a lot of information out and give an incomplete picture on how horrible the mom in the story actually is. The updates go into how the husband was actually groomed and that the ops mom is a ped who was sleeping with him before he was 18. Its wild how fluff didnt bring these updates up.
@@heimeriklein7901Look, I got sick just hearing the story as presented. I am not a stupid man. I immediately thought there was something outlying that we didn't know about. I figured it was probably monetarily motivated on the part of the family that decided to be trash, (driven by the mom because she had access to something they wanted and were willing to compromise their, "morals", aka, "how society will view us", if it came out). Now I know that the ones that hate OP were f*cking cosigning this sh*t and were willingly allowing her to be the unknowingly victim as long as it didn't reflect on them. This is some next level f*cked up sh*t going on here. They're more angry about the f*cking societal stigma that THEY EARNED, by their lies of omission. Absolutely disgusting.
@@heimeriklein7901 And how the twin siblings were mad because this was something super important about them that they felt should have been told to them beforehand, not told to them with the rest of the family.
And me to Karen: And I guess we'll be calling the cops on you for obstruction. I swear to god ANY karen that obstructs people saving lives deserves life in prison.
BIL vs medical school story: NTA! If you give them a penny, they'll never give it back, even if you make them sign a legally enforceable contract to repay it as a loan with interest. They can sell things and take out loans. Just go no contact with them because as soon as they get any of your money, they will go no contact with you. The big question is this, is your BIL LEGITIMATELY ILL needing this surgery or is this a ploy to get OP's money? OP doesn't have access to BIL's medical records, only what sister and BIL tell her. Birthday story: Just send Aunt Karen to the internet.
They were doing it in the house with one of the kids/grandkid in the house, I can only imagine the teenager walking into their dad's room and seeing her father and grandma going at it. Just disgusting 🤮🤮🤮 people
Story 1: Gotta say, the fire department SHOULD have taken one of the opportunities when Karen was ACTUALLY communicating for once to point out that technically, the chain was interfering with emergency procedures, basically a heads up that it was actually illegal, they were just being nice enough to cut it instead of the legal hell she ended up with. Also, using her HOA influence to use HOA funds to do something for her own benefit and her own benefit only? (I suspect the residents didn't have keys, and if they did it was still an unnecessary pain, AND they would prefer prompt service to this. How about food delivery? Pharmacy delivery, since many of them are older?) That sounds like misappropriation of funds, and should be against any HOA's bylaws (if not downright illegal as essentially embezzling). Story 2: Said the ones who are mad are so because of the way she publicly outed them. Thing is, sounds like the "public" were all relations who deserved to know about this. People affected by this secret who needed to be told, best to just tell everyone together, so everybody who should know does, and knows who else knows. It just seems like the best recourse, and shame on these people for not realizing that and getting upset at the biggest victim of the family!
Story 3 is a reminder that people should not be placed in a situation where one has to pick between the life of another or ones future. Where ever she is, fix your healthcare system!
That last story is just mind blowing. If you can't tell the difference between a generic meme and what you did last week at the store you might be the one with a problem.
Chain Karen should have gotten a visit from the sheriff, explaining to her that if her blocking the road delays emergency response and someone dies, she'll be charged with premeditated murder, though she might get lucky and only be charged with negligent homicide.
Story 3: NTA. D-bag mocked OP's father, he doesn't get any access to her inheritance money, not even to save his life. Also, they DO have the money - it's just stuck in the form of assets. They can sell the cars and the other stuff to cough up the treatment money.
Story 1: Interfering with emergence services is a felony criminal charge in addition to the high civil monetary fines. She could be arrested for it once she was notified to stop doing it. Story 2: Ho. Lee. Phuk. Story 3: OP is NTA. Her sister can sell her cars & stuff if she really wants to pay for the surgery. Or not...but then everyone would know what sister holds more dear...not the husband. Story 4: OP really should have ran with it and when Aunt Karen started bitching about the memes he could have said "Do you want to talk to my manager now?"
As a former title examiner, I can tell you that most of those developments with private roads have a built-in easement for emergency vehicles. Usually you find this on the subdivision plat, County Clerk's office. They cannot restrict access on that easement with impediments like chains. Not even speed bumps if they're difficult to traverse for fire trucks and ambulances.
In my state you can sue the person you’re S.O. is cheating with. There was a big case where a woman won a million dollars or more. Sadly in this situation the other woman didn’t even know the guy was married. It didn’t matter apparently. So be careful if you’re in North Carolina or just don’t cheat.
The sister is being selfish, if she wants to save her husband’s life then she needs to prioritise and get rid of all that expensive stuff that she bought over the years. It is not up to OP to bail her out.
In the 3rd story, OP isn't the a-hat. Her sister and her sister's husband knew he was sick, but they still squandered away the inheritance. Now she's coming to OP claiming to be broke. It's simple, tell sister to sell the cars, mortgage or sell the house, and any other luxury items they have first. Then come back afterward to ask for money. If she refuses, then OP can tell her that sister values her luxury items more than her husband's health/life. Also tell her that until she puts her husband's health/life first over their property and items, then she will not get a penny from her. When my mother got Alzheimer's, our father paid for her care by liquidating assets they didn't need, and that allowed our Mom to live out her final 11 years in comfort at home while the disease slowly stripped her of her health and memories. So, we didn't get a big inheritance when he passed, but it was fine by my sister and I because we knew where the money went.
Story 3 - I’d say that OP is NOT the A-Hole ! The sister was the one who blew her inheritance on lavish things. It’s now her problem as she is married to her sick husband, not OP ! The sister needs to sell anything of value or take out a loan. She should be happy that OP wants to put herself through college and become a doctor, not trying to inveigle her out of her own inheritance too !
Story 3. If she wants your money, take her house. Have her sign a contract that means YOU can force a sale of the house if she doesn't pay you back in 4 years. This can be done legally. Even if it means they end up on the streets, you get a future.
You need to get your lawyer and send your sister a cease and desist stating that she's emotionally blackmailing you and you're not going to stand for it. That she needs to sell her assets and needs to have life insurance if she has a husband that is constantly ill.
Holy eff, that last story takes the cake! It was funny and cute when the dad discovered what a Karen is and that he actually knows one. Completely adorable how much amusement he got from that. It gets completely HILARIOUS that the Karen in question actually THINKS that the memes are ACTUALLY herself!!!🤣😂😆🙃😂🤣
"Be prepared for permanent damage in her relationship with her sister" That relationship was already damaged beyond repair at that point anyway, so. Last story. Karen Aunt thinking that the entire Karen meme is all about her is the most Karen thing ever.
Story 4: OP says, “that’s how I f@cked up and almost ruined my dad’s birthday.” But OP isn’t the one who brought it up, Aunt Karen did. If OP’s dad didn’t man up and tell the truth, he would have ruined his own birthday. All OP did was point out the fact that the aunt acts like a Karen.
Tip for life any. If you do something terrible and somebody else announced it to everyone and your life ends up getting ruined because of it it's still 100% your fault for being a piece of crap.
Story 2: Of course she never meant to cheat on her husband with her daughter's husband. It was an accident. Yeah, she needed to come up with a better excuse than "I never meant for this to happen."
Wouldnt the lady in the first story be in trouble for trying to block emergency services like that? She knew it was in their way but not only kept it up kept trying to make it take more time for them to bypass. The fact that parts of the family are upset AT OP in story 2 is insane. She is the victim and they are mad at her....why?
Story 3: Even if OP did give her sister the money, given her personality, I wouldn't trust the sister to spend it on her husband's care. She would likely buy more luxury items with it for herself instead, let her husband die and then try to claim that shopping is a way to deal with her grief.
The story about the sister and the inheritance: OP is NTA, and shouldn’t give a penny to her sister. The sister and her baby daddy should have saved up money for the surgeries and whatnot without taking OP’s money into that equation. They want to have all their cool stuff and pay for the medical bills, too, which is just wrong. That money is OP’s, and should be treated as such.
I agree with your friend, let your sister sell her car and luxury items. She knew her husband was sick before she bought all her toys and probably planned all along to go after OP’s inheritance
That second story had my jaw hit the floor!! Oh my gosh her 20 year old brother 🙈 the mom started when the husband was 18! They met up at the church!! Oh my gosh guys
Becoming a doctor is way better than spending your part of the inheritance on a chronically ill sister’s husband whereas you can save a lot more lives.
No, the karen thing is not 'for a laugh' it is to be used to belittle and shame self entitled people. They deserve no compassion, no second chance, and making fun of them is almost a moral imperative.
Story 3: OP, you could give the money to your sister and save 1 life, or, become a doctor and save countless lives. Your brother in law has already passed down his genes. You could save so many that have yet to.
