He said in an interview that the girl who broke his heart in the beginning came back wanting to get back together but he could not trust her so he could never love her again. He wanted and needed her but he couldn't love her because she killed it in him. Great Reaction!!!

Jim Steinman (piano) wrote all of the songs on this album. Unfortunately, we lost both of them within a few months of each other.😭😭😇😇 I still have this album on LP. "I know you're lookin' for a ruby in a mountain of rocks, but there ain't no coupe DeVille hiding at the bottom of a crackerjack box".

Some believe that it’s the same girl. He talks about the “snow piling up outside” and says that “you’ve been cold to ME so long, I’m crying icicles instead of tears”. Then later talks about “only one girl that I will ever love”, and “I remember how she left me on THAT STORMY NIGHT (remember the snow piling up). So later she wanted him BACK, but he didn’t love the girl that came back. “Two out of three ain’t bad.” 🙂

It’s honestly heartwarming and a bit heartbreaking at the same time that just NOW in the last year or so Meatloaf is getting the recognition he deserved his whole life. His genre of rock was quite niche, and his appearance was not really working in his favor, but no one can deny the man’s vocals. What a voice ❤ And the lyrics? Can we give him some extra applause for the lyrics 👏🙏

Meatloaf should be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. It's a crime this true artist is not in the institution that honors artists. SHAMEFUL.
