Attention to detail is second to none as always. Seen this colour change ppf popping up on your feeds a couple of times & it does look good. Yes I have a black car as well 🤦🏽♂️😂
Hi Jon, will you be updating your review of The Rag Company gauntlets video? You said you were leaving the towel with fresh layers to see how it performed over time, which was 5 months ago so it would be really interesting to hear how it performed and held up
@@ForensicDetailing terrific, thanks for the update Jon. I think i'll get one ordered soon :) I'm actually going to try to give my car a maintenance wash this morning before the heat wave hits up here in Cheshire! Hope you and your family have a good weekend with the new pup 😃
Five years later and I need a wing bumper and bonnet replacement due to an accident, will the same shade of wrap material still be available to match the adjacent panels?
some questions from someone who knows nothing about any of this. If a car is vinyl wrapped how do you maintain it? Do you still wax it the same as paint? Can you polish it if there are small marks or scratches? and how durable is it, how long would it typically last?
Does the ppf have any impact on driver assist systems like the radars behind the corners of bumpers? Manufacturers tend to state only paint to say 150 microns thick including original coatings in these areas?
I’m sorta curious now as to the possibility for creating some sorta of drag ? A few fraction off and yer 2nd bud😆🤔😬🤙🏼 How does it look on a white base?🤨🤔😬
Thank you very informative. I want to get into this industry. I want to take professional training course in the states. Should I take the 3M PPF course or a color change vinyl wrap course first?
New to your channel. What is the cost of a ppf like this roughly? I need to know because this seems like a much better option for my black truck. I’d protect the paint while still gaining some color excitement. The fact it’s self healing and adds pop makes way more sense than a traditional wrap which I was weeks from doing.
@@martinhack1368, after replay n replay n Replay,😳did see that once outside .. Its so wild it reflects just like glass, when under those neon tubes it was difficult to tell what was glass or not💫
Scratches will self heal as its self healing film and its designed for stone chip protection, If you did get any damage to the film we would just replace the panel and the paint would remain protected :)
I like his sample, but I wish he did another there it shows the effect of the car color on the PPF, when he was mentioning grey vs black and so on. Would be nice to see how it effects a black car vs white car.
Can PPF be applied to alloy wheels? I have a motorbike with diamond cut wheels. The lacquer has lifted (as I don’t clean it regularly) and I wonder if it can be fitted after the wheels have been repaired.
@@ForensicDetailing thanks for the quick reply. What’s the best way to protect diamond cut wheels for lazy b’s like me who hate cleaning? I’ve done 6k miles in 4.5 months in all weathers and washed it 6 times. The last time I noticed the wheels had the lacquer lifted. Thanks in anticipation.
@@ForensicDetailing great but in the video you mention black and white donor cars are best for this option you are presenting. i wanted to achieve a blue/green colour
