The one thing you should never ever do is mess with a veteran, I know this from experience. Half the people I know are veterans or are family of veterans, even both my parents vets. Vets are a breed all their own and to wage war with them is a losing battle.
Oh man, you didn’t mention the best part about the revenge: When Tasha was looking for a job, she kept bumping into the guys she fired (OP, Ray, Victor, etc.). When she got to Ray, she begged him for a job, as she wasn’t able to find work elsewhere. She was on the verge of losing her home, her husband and kids left her after discovering about the contractor she slept with, and she was living in her car. Ray just told Tasha to beat it and to tell satan “hi” when she goes to hell.
R Nickerson yeah, it’s part of the story. RSlash did reference this as an “update” but he’s only scratching the surface when in reality, its the payoff as well as a “where are they now” for the veterans and OP.
Oh yea, I heard this one and, as a woman, I hate when women are so entitled that they constantly cry for sexism that’s not even there. Not only is it shit for everybody, but it discredits women who deal with actual sexism
Growing up i always heard white women cry "racist" at the littlest things No idea why, they weren't even black lol. Now it seems they finally got their own to use. To be fair, these movements dont empower women, the women that gain the most out of Metoo and feminism, are the sociopaths and the evil ones. Its human nature to exploit systems for the easiest solutions and most comfortable outcomes. So these women with little to no empathy find those movements *incredibly* useful for their own ends. This isnt a man or woman thing Its a human thing. Taken to its negative extreme.
Yeah, but did you hear how OP talked about how they covered for each other's shifts all the time, but not for her, etc. Sounds like it was kind of a boy's club. I know it sounds like the females sound like they were the problem, but I wonder what the completely objective version would look like. Like the hidden camera version, not the guys talking to each other about the bitch they don't like version.
As a women I rolled my eyes so hard bout that sexism claim like bruh you've never experienced sexism because you are to close to looking like a man than a woman LOL
"Tasha was eventually fired for her terrible handling of the job." Wow, it only took them an eternity to figure that out. That company deserves the craphole it put itself in.
@@ForeverLaxx right? I had to deal with an awful male boss for a while because the company I worked for didn't think a female could "handle things". I left the company, went back two years later and they had finally promoted the woman who was qualified for the job and it was an amazing two years.

My husband is a Marine and I can confirm that they are very petty and revenge driven when you mess with their own. Military vets have an unshakeable bond. Its actually incredibly hard to find a job to help acclimate back to civilian life so finding one that also has fellow vets is like a god send.
Military vets in my opinion are some of the best but scariest people, my mom and dad were both retired and they were terrifying if someone thought it a good idea to test them. I still fear my mom and would not dare cross her or wish her wrath on anyone😓
@@akamemurasame4527 ha I don't doubt that but she's scarier then most moms I've seen, so I always figured it was her past that made her so fricking strick. 😅😅😅

As a Navy brat with friends in every other branch of the armed forces, I can say with confidence that no one does malicious compliance like the military.
Them: "you can't do that". Any veteran: "It's in the rules. I'm doing my job". Veterans know how to use and twist words/follow shit to the letter to get under skins.
Hi all! Fellow Brat here! Dad was US Navy and Grandfather was US Army!!! I miss them both something fierce!! Thank you and MUCH LOVE to ALL military and their families out there who have served and sacrificed and those are currently serving and sacrificing!!!
While I may not be an Army Brat myself. But both of my Grandfathers, some of my cousins and a few aunts/uncles along with some of my parents cousins and aunts/uncles served, so my family has a long history of serving. So I've got some learned habits from them.
I got to the part where he goes “and that’s where the story should end, but-“ and I got and ad that didn’t miss a beat and simply said “cheesy stuffed crazy bread? I must be dreaming” I’ve been having a genuine belly laugh for a good couple minutes now
It never fails!! I got two today watching videos on Amazon back to back. First was about donating/awareness in regards to ending the use of plastic straws, while the second was a coffee commercial that had plastic straws in every drink for every frame of the commercial. Epic.
Everyone saying all these *"Never mess with a vet."* comments makes me imagine all these hardcore veterinarians going round causing trouble. *"Don't mess with me, I've already removed eleven pairs of testicles today, I have no problem making it twelve."*
I wish you covered the Update, it has details about how "Tasha" got divorced when her husband found out about her boytoy and how she's been looking for work for months cause she got fired due to running that company into the ground, and every place she goes to for a interview has at least one worker vet that she screwed over at.
As a veteran myself, I laughed my ass off at this story. Some of the best malicious compliance stories I've ever heard come from veterans, stories from their time serving or after they left. No one can do malicious compliance like someone who served in the military. Lol.
This story actually made me sad because several useless people who can’t do any actual work and expect free stuff ruined the lives of so many vets who already have it so hard in life
The most terrifying thing is when somebody who is typically goofy, happy, silly, just all around a never angry type of person, gets actually angry. That’s when it’s like “oh shid they’ve never been mad before” it’s just something about it that hits harder.
Technically, I would consider the base that is supposed to be safe the work environment and the field where they are shot at more of a contract site. So she was worse than incompetent officers
Many, _many,_ *MANY* kudos to Victor. He stuck it out, revealed the problem, and cost the company SOOOO much money for their idiocy. Never mess with a marine.

I imagined an anime style reunion: jim smirking while standing there with his hands in his pockets, full snobby hair and a tie, sunlight flashing on his teeth. Ray with sun glases and afro, smoking a cigarette while leaning on the wall and good old OP with authentic flip flops (idk why, don‘t ask), shorts, a tanktop, tooth picker in his mouth and a duffle bag in his hands holding it up back over his shoulder. OP thinks „here we go again“ to fast forward pokemon colosseum style jazz music when suddenly the screen turns black and white letters appear: „...to be continued“
When one company I worked at in 1970s hired their first woman as a worker to equal a man, she quit after two days of constant complaining, and sued the company for 4 million dollars for working her like a man. She lost her lawsuit, but she made life hell for the boss for 6 months, and he never hired another woman in the next 13 years I was there.
@@00bean00 No, she was given a line operator job that a man had left a few days before, came in with no experience working in the office, so she was put on a position twisting wrenches on a easy/slow conveyor line. When Rslash swears, you know crap is aboutta go down... Tasha: Fires the best friend of a guy that has severe ptsd and is prone to severe anger outbursts Victor: I’m aboutta end this company’s whole career
In that moment, everything became very clear for Victor. He was angry, but he didn't rage. He became very calm, very focused. He didn't raise his voice. He didn't wave his arms. He formed a plan and got to work. For the first time in years, the stress was a friend, not a disorder, not an enemy. It made him sharp. He had a mission and would do whatever it took to carry it out. He was back.
I think it’s so awesome how OP managed to befriend Victor. It sounds like he really needed a friend and I’m happy for him that OP and then Ray became lights in his otherwise dark life.
@@totallyspies01 I mean to be fair, I’m a girl that prefers third shifts. It’s just because I have a terrible sleep schedule to begin with. Working third shift was super easy for me. Sleep during the day, work 10pm-5am. I didn’t have a problem staying up, sleeping before or after my shifts, and I got payed an extra $2 more for an easier shift (in my opinion). For some reason I’m just always naturally awake at 4am lol. It took me like a month to get off third shift schedule when I was only on third shift for 3 nights
god this whole story reminded me of my time working as a security officer and being surrounded by other guards who didn't give a flip about their jobs and wouldn't do what as asked of them. there were some sites that I worked at that had reasonable responsibilities and others like this one. what upset me the most when working as a security officer is that most companies just hire people to fill spots so they can keep their contracts, qualifications be damned. worst of all you'd have those clients who wanted to hire security for their property but didn't actually want "Security" as they would bend the rules and ask guards to be lenient and allow just about anyone and everyone in regardless of paperwork or site orders. it used to piss me off when this would happen because I would feel like I was getting punished for simply doing my job. thankfully the last security company I had worked with, while the company itself was horrible at managing staff, hours and pay, the client we worked with was great at filtering out people who were and weren't qualified and he ran a tight and well organized team. (the client in charge of the contract being an Army Vet. he served 6 years as a combat engineer and was a real down to earth guy. loved working for that man.)
I had a similar case when I did it. They assigned to a site and stuck me in a parking lot. I was released from that site after a week for “poor hygiene” and “being argumentative.” A, I was sitting in the sun all day and B no one interacted with me. Meanwhile the security supervisor had been playing favorites. I saw one guard watching the main entrance sitting on his phone watching TV. I got in trouble for reading a book while stuck sitting on a concrete wall.
I deal with security staff at work and this is sadly common. (Although I also think a lot of clients aren't willing to pay for quality security and are surprised when they get what they pay for.) Glad you found a client that knew what he was doing at your last place.
The stories I could tell you about the security company I worked for, but I'll tell you one of the funnier, if not fucked up ones. I was at one site for a little over 2 years. Now, this is important, as the client was complaining about my hand writing. I would understand if it was maybe a few months in, but 2 years? The fucked up part is I didn't start getting written up until 4-5 months before I got taken off the site. I asked them what they expected me to do, since I had been writing like that nearly my entire life (I was in my mid 30s at this point). When the company took me off the site (very clearly kissing ass), I told them I was in my right to collect unemployment because this was a bs excuse to get me taken off, and I would be reduced from 39 hours a week to 9. Unemployment was on my side, since "small hand writing" was not a viable reason to get me taken off the job site. Corporate lost their shit when they found out they HAD to pay me unemployment since my hours got slashed because of the branches pandering to the client. The office struggled to find me hours, finally sending me to a site that was on the other side of town, and because of my commute, corporate ordered they pay me patrols hourly pay because of said commute, which was close to $2/hr more than the site I was taken off of. I eventually left the company a year later because the site supervisor of another site was spreading lies about me, and instead of the company trying to find a middle ground, they decided to move me, last minute, to another site when they had three days to contact me about this (I was off Monday-Wednesday). Last I heard, the security company lost the contract with this site with the lying supervisor because karma had caught up to her, and this contract was worth a pretty penny.

Dim Sufferer the two are synonymous, make no mistake, an ideology based solely around giving privilege to one group and neglect, *_at best_* , to the other is not, nor will it ever be, equality.
I can see how long hours with very few breaks could be an issue for female workers 🤔 imagine being on your period, bleeding through and not being able to change. Or be using a tampon, risking infection.
Um, ex retail here and yeah lots of lots of moving or just standing while on your period is tough when your always busy but it is doable, but I'm willing to bet some of those woman just couldn't stand being stuck in all kinds of weather for hours on end. I'll admit I dislike doing any kind of work in anything but sunny or cloudy days. Rain, heat wave, snow, humidity, nope. But that's just the thing about a job alot of people these days don't seem to get, if you apply for the job be certain you can and will do the job from day one.
There was no reason for these working conditions in this case. The story states that the construction took several years. That's more than enough time to set up some kind of minimal cover over the gates and place a chair next to the tag reader machine
@@KnittingGirl28 Not every period is equal. Some women have extremely heavy flows and experience severe cramping. If you bleed through a heavy duty pad in three hours you need to be able to change. If you use a tampon you need to change it that often to avoid toxic shock syndrome.
@@limiv5272 Not to mention arranging the personnel to allow for a regular breaks. No surprise this story is from the USA. In my country the law demands that you get to have breaks and you can't work shifts with too little rest inbetween.

“Your security company is sexist” .... that’s why I’m going to require you by law to employ people just because they are women, what do you mean that’s making the problem worse?!?
It usually doesn't make it worse. My company has increased its share of women employees by 35% within the last few years by giving priority to equally qualified women for new positions, and considering women in non-traditional roles. We are a world-wide company, but my country office is the first one that ever hired a woman driver, f.ex.. The atmosphere is really nice now, we are able to serve our clients, many of whom are women with more understanding and empathy.
@@plumebloom7513 The problem happens when the standards for females are lowered. Like everyone might be discriminating against you because you're just underqualified and stupid?
Plume Bloom You said some key words there. EQUALLY QUALIFIED. Major difference. Most of the time when companies are ordered to hire more of a demographic (I.e. women, Hispanic, black, Asian, etc etc), the company will just grab as many of that demographic as possible to fill the spots. Damn the qualifications. Now if the hired personnel were qualified, then there’d be no issue, since they qualified to do the job.

He just should have acted like he didn't remember her and be like "How was your experience at your last job and how did it end? Would you mind me calling your old Employer about your performance ?" While looking her straight in her face until she leaves the building red faced.
Wait, don't they always go through background checks in other countries? In my country, no matter what job you apply for, they always do a background check on you.
Here in America, companies are looking for people that can't get work legally so they can used them up without paying them fairly, then grab another guy. I think we do have background checks but some places are simply put evil.
