There's a reason the term "cuck" has begun to spring up recently, which is a term indicating a sexual fetish, to refer to people with more left-wing leaning views. The people using that term as an insult towards progressives themselves constantly use sexual projections on anybody they disagree with. (That people who defend gay marriage can still expect to themselves be called gay because of that is further proof that conservative cultures use sexual projections as stigmatization). So yes, having a generally "nice" character is now being treated either as a cover-up, or a bad character trait. Wonderful.

As a woman, you’re absolutely correct. I used to think about the fairytale picture perfect relationship, until my recent first relationship. I fell in love with the simple things and I felt warm inside when we got to spend some quality time together. That’s all I ever wanted, but unfortunately we broke up 2 months into the relationship and argued for 3 months on why it ended. I wish him well and I do thank him for making me into a better and humble person.

Once I was trapped in a toxic friendship with a girl that was always making me feel guilty, always complaining, always lashing out on me whenever she felt like shit, and yet not doing anything to change that. And everytime, she would come back crying, saying she didn't mean any of this, that's just bc she's damaged, broken and lonely, that i'm the only real friend she has etc. At some point, I got tired of it : she was insulting me again and I got angry (believe me, I'm very patient when it comes to close friends). I told her that I was willing to be her friend only if she promised me to never disrespect me again. She broke her promise. So I left. For a few months she kept sending me messages, saying that "in the end I was like every other person in her life abandonning her". It made me feel so angry, but I ignored her. Later she slowly realized I wasn't coming back, so she tried blaming me, accusing me, begging me, doing whatever she could to try and get me back. One year later, she came back asking if I was okay. At this point, I was no longer angry so we had a discussion. She seemed to have changed. She apologized, and it seemed sincere. She looked like she refelcted a lot on herself and saw how toxic she was. Til today, I keep a safe distance from her. I'm talking to her, helping her in a safe way, giving her advices. She seems like she is truly hurt by that distance I'm keeping but she doesn't push me or try to force me. She's still hurt and broken, and I still don't think she's fully aware of what she was and what she has done (thus why I keep a distance) but there's some change, good change. Don't let a toxic friend/lover ruin your sanity and life. Leave them. If they truly care about you, they'll reflect but if you do not stand for yourself, that person will not.

There is no excuse to act like a bitch, disrespect your friend/partner and then act like your friend/partner doesn't love you because they decide to dump your ass. If you have some deep psychological issues it's not your friend's/partner's job to "fix" you or put up with you, you need to see a therapist for that. If you actually cared about the other person in a relationship you wouldn't look for excuses to justify your toxic behaviour like "raging hormones" you'd try to better yourself. Sounds a lot like a toxic friendship I had a few years back. Unfortunately, I never officially ended it because I was too scared. I've just let our friendship fade naturally over time, especially since we started university. We still see each other and catch up from time to time. She's gotten *way* better over the years, but I still feel uneasy how I let her step over me out of fear. (Sorry for the long comment! Happy new years!)
Tbh I've had a friend for a long time that was kinda toxic and she used to get really angry at me for I don't really remember why and ignored me and I used to be really sensitive (I'm still a baby when it comes to people beeing upset with me or not liking me even though I know that's ok) so that really fucked me up and we used to share a dorm room cause we went to boarding school and she yelled at me and told to just leave and I did I called my dad and got my stuff and I left. And we used to be in the same class but she was struggling to keep up and stuff so she was probably frustrated bc she had to change classes (there was an easier department and the separation was horrible she'd wright kind rude messages on my paper table pad about wanting stuff back she claimed I had ( I didn't remember borrowing it but I bought it and gave it to her parents) but ultimately throughout the separation I felt sorry for her bc everyone if our friends were taking my side bc they knew her. After a few years she apologized and now we're good friends again she's matured a lot but sometimes I felt sorry for her boyfriend cause she would get upset by him walking next to his best friend when the 4 of us were hanging out.
