I have heard that a good way to filter out the worst people that asks you out is to suggest a reschedule because the suggested date for meeting up wont work for you due to a convienient family event or dentist appointment. If they are interested in you and not looking to get laid and a decent person to boot they most likely wont mind. If they decide to throw a hissy fit you know that you did not miss anything.

On the other hand, it's so fucking obvious. I think I'm a fairly balanced (but flawed) guy, but I'm also pretty busy most days. I don't play mind games. Whenever a girl would suggest it, I'd openly agree to reschedule, but also ask them to just tell me if they aren't interested, so that neither of us waste our time. There are girls who will just waste your time endlessly and reschedule 5 times in a row. Not worth the games. Ironically, this convinced my current girlfriend to give me a shot. People aren't dumb, don't play mind games. If you like the guy, see what he's like in person and don't waste time.

It's a combination of being able to play the victim when rejected and what they see in movies. The majority of teen movies centers around the "nice guy" type who has a crush on a girl with a boyfriend/casually dating someone/isn't interested. In those movies, the "nice guy" does things to show off how nice he is, how much more interested in her he is compared to her (usually) jock/jerk of a BF and eventually wins her over, but not before he has some kind of whining melt down. Most of these movies are guys pretending to be nicer than they are to get the girl, but when it doesn't work out in reality, those wannabes end up weeping like a bunch of violent bitch babies.

-The last thing you'd want in your Burger King burger is someone's foot fungus. But as it turns out, that might be what you get. A 4channer uploaded a photo anonymously to the site showcasing his feet in a plastic bin of lettuce. With the statement: "This is the lettuce you eat at Burger King." Admittedly, he had shoes on. But that's even worse. The post went live at 11:38 PM on July 16, and a mere 20 minutes later, the Burger King in question was alerted to the rogue employee. At least, I hope he's rogue. How did it happen? Well, the BK employee hadn't removed the Exif data from the uploaded photo, which suggested the culprit was somewhere in Mayfield Heights, Ohio. This was at 11:47. Three minutes later at 11:50, the Burger King branch address was posted with wishes of happy unemployment. 5 minutes later, the news station was contacted by another 4channer. And three minutes later, at 11:58, a link was posted: BK's "Tell us about us" online forum. The foot photo, otherwise known as exhibit A, was attached. Cleveland Scene Magazine contacted the BK in question the next day. When questioned, the breakfast shift manager said "Oh, I know who that is. He's getting fired." Mystery solved, by 4chan. Now we can all go back to eating our fast food in peace.

runforitman it seems to me it's either 1) they experience extreme mood swings (probably need to get that checked out) 2) they're so absorbed in their own ego that they can't see how harmful their actions are toward others (or just don't care) 3) they're so insecure in their identity that even the slightest perceived insult or lack of validation can cause them to overassert themselves or take all means necessary to prove themselves "worthy" Or all three... and chances are if they're so prone to being hateful and abusive, it's questionable how genuine their feelings for the other person were in the first place.

Human beings have the need to be accepted by a significant other or just in general. "Nice guys" is referring to people who are trying to be accepted, but when they fail, lash out. Probably in embarrassment or because they want to make themselves feel more significant than the person who rejected them so that they don't feel like a fool.
