What Stan Lee _actually_ said was Peter Parker isn't a gay character, but if some Marvel writer wanted to create a new, gay Spider-Man who _isn't_ Peter Parker, then that's fine.
I hate how people started to make shit up about Stan Lee **AFTER** the poor legend died, bitches ain't got the courage to spread their shit when he was alive, and took advantage when he died.
As a lesbian... How fucking dare they slander Stan. :< he was awesome! And Peter Parker's Spiderman is my favorite superhero. =/ Despite him being a straight white male, outside of Brand New Day he has had some of the best stories. Are they all winners? No. But I think Into the Spiderverse really hit it home "Anyone can be be Spiderman". Including a alternate reality Mary Jane who IS a lesbian. >.> well I suppose she was Spiderwoman not Spiderman...But you know what I mean XD
@@myst1741 Kinda off the rail, but I'd personally love an alternate universe Spiderperson. Like can someone pls normalize the enbies? Poor babies are starving over there. 😂👌
"lgbt inclusion means writing a gay character, not just, like, going around with a gay stamp, just like, marking up existing characters for, I don't know, cultural points!" -Lexi from Emkay Thank you Lexi
@@lillie3029 I didn't know she was trans! I'll start using She/Her pronouns from now on. Also, I am confused by your comment, it didn't make very much sense. It looked like it was google translated?
I actually fell unconscious in a store while wearing a mask. The heat, the people combined with my asthma/hyperventilating just did me in and I dropped to the ground right at the cash register. Ya know what? I still wear a mask - I just take a friend with me in case it happens again.
Yeah, each asthmatic has different levels of struggle with a mask. Some can be completely fine but others feel horrid and get exhausted wearing one. I am one of the ones who struggle. If I know I’m having a particularly bad day, I’ll use a motorcart if one is available. But I still wear my mask because I’m not an asshole.
Not even BS, unfortunately. You can't stop wearing a mask regardless because it's a respiratory virus and if you're an asthmatic you're in greater danger anyway. Scooter is a good idea, online delivery is a good idea (unfortunately we don't have either of those options) or take a friend with you like me to have someone catch you when you fall... Or have that same friend shop for you. Or call a social worker, they can sometimes help with that as well. There are so many alternatives to stop wearing masks that I can really not find an excuse for anyone to not wear one and STILL go into a shop. So yeah, I'm on board with the droid army.
Refusing to make a canonically straight character a gay character is not being homophobic. Idk about anyone else, but I would actually find that really, really irritating if a writer suddenly made someone gay out of nowhere for no reason. Same for if a canonically gay character suddenly became straight. Sincerely, A member of the lgbtq+ community
You can make a character change their sexuality if you had the intention of making them gay/queer. Spider-man has been around for years so just making him gay with no explanation and calling it “representation" is just r e a l l y ignorant. I’m looking at you J.K
I once read a book with a boy whichs sexuality wasn't confirmed for 7 books. Just afterwards the fandom learned he's homosexual. But it's another story if the character was confirmed straight and suddenly changes
I personally like when I finish super fast and get 90% or higher then the teacher calls me out for cheating even tho I have no way to cheat a test tha I have never seen before in my life ;)))
@@striker7983 Most of the time something like that happens to me, but I've actually done most of the tests my teacher's give me, because they get them from the same website as my tutor. The teachers have a choice either to spend an extra $30+ on a subscription to another website, get off their lazy asses and make the tests themselves, or do nothing, and usually it's the latter.
EDIT: keeping original comment there but pls note i do not agree anymore and myself from 2 years ago sucks @Dementia Joe No, I agree. There's not many hints, if not any, for shipping most of the gay ships (I am NOT homophobic, I myself am asexual.) But people still make agressive fanfics about them. If they want to, they can, but there's a huge line from shipping to trying to change the story with force.
They think they are doing justice but instead they are just hypocritical bitches trying to look good on the internet in any kind of way while they give out bad names to the lgbtq+ community
Yeah I'm part of a Kingdom Hearts community on discord and 2 people out of the 7 that were there said that since it was June they hoped Nomura (the creator of the series) would come out and say the main character was gay, even though there is no evidence to support him being gay, their reason was "Well he and Riku are really close" to which I said: "Yeah, they're best friends, I'm really close with my best friends and I've even kissed one at a band competition, still not gay." This pandering needs to die off, it's not helpful to anyone or anything.
Also, on the Siren Head thing: Trevor Henderson is just a genuinely nice guy. He always credits the photos he puts his photshopped monsters in--and when he absolutely can't track down the photographer, he tosses it to his community. Generally within hours, they get back to him with the name, and he deletes the tweet and reposts it with credit. Bashing him is just *low*.
“Nebulized hydrogen Peroxide therapy is an inexpensive [GASP] Noooo-“ Me: **Gasping for breath from laughing.** Oh no!! Seriously though DO NOT DO THIS!!!
@@eightteentwo It's effectively a strong desinfectant. It kills everthing, very much including your own cells. Kinda like getting a spider off your foot by shooting it with a gun. It will kill the spider, but you also shot yourself in the foot. Also, there's a spider on your other foot now..

My grandfather worked with H2O2 in his job. One of his apprentices cleaned some residue off of a counter using a tissue and then threw it in a normal trash bin instead of a specialized disposal unit. 15 minutes later the trash can was on fire. H2O2 combusts in contact with water. It is highly acidic, too. If you want to be horrified, read about the WWII Me-163 rocket fighter that used this stuff as fuel. It melted its pilots. Let that sink in.
Fun fact! The Scarlett Witch has twins in the comics. One of the twins, William, has a boyfriend and they're very open about being gay. You don't need to make existing characters gay for representation.
10:20 as someone with respiratory illnesses such as asthma who had to use a nebulizer for years as a baby/young child up to about puberty. This is horrible and scary to imagine someone actually listening to the advice.
The first image probably was taken in different lighting. The top image was in yellow lighting, probably to make the teeth look yellow. Then the next image is taken in a white light.
And if you dont beat a man with a fish he will ask why are you carrying around a dead fish you idiot which ultimately results in hit getting beaten up by a fish
5:15 as did the Inuit, and, in fact, one of their most well-known stories as far as anthropology goes, titled "Moon rapes the Sun", is about that premise. Almost every culture worldwide had laws against rape in some way.
Yeah there's a lot of jokes in Europe because people there think americans are going too far with teeth bleaching which isn't actually that good for your teeth.
6:25 better note about that picture of "rural america" is that it is not a real photo of a place. There's even a _tumblr_ post talking about how it's a picture of nowhere and many places in the US all at once. But the important detail there is that it is an edit, and not a singular photo.
ya went to my girlfriends hometown a couple years ago. place is a strip of shops off the highway and homes. thats it. nothing else at all. i thought my hometown was small but at least we have 3 areas for businesses!
There’s something far more satisfying about this subreddit then say r/thatreallyhappened, there a few things better then seeing people get called out for their bs.
1:56 This doesn't even belong on r/quityourbullshit. Even if u/matt173321 was expecting anyone to take him seriously, this doesn't contain anyone calling him out and proving he's lying...which is pretty much the ONLY criteria for r/quityourbullshit! Unless the editor massively fucked up again. Which, considering how they put the image of beluga whale legs 8 minutes after the caption on the video "r/oddlyterrifying | i'm scared" would not be out of character.
"...need a gun to go to Subway." I don't think a single person who conceal carries a firearm does so because they find it neccesary to go shopping or out to eat. They do it because it's a helpful tool in a case of self defense and protecting themselves or others in an emergency. Nobody needs a pocket-knife, pepper-spray, or any other form of self defence to do ANYTHING shopping related. It's simply there for insurance, as it should be.
11:29 If that's the same Rochester that I live in (NY), I certainly would have heard about that. This city is surprisingly small and everyone who lives here is probably three or four degrees of separation from each other. Hell, my mother's co-worker owns a pinball machine and they regularly go to my former supervisor to get it fixed. My supervisor also knows someone who is best friends with my old high school history teacher. I can tell you now, I would have heard about that shit. It most certainly did not happen
I can't respect people who make stuff up with bad grammar. Sure, make an inflammatory fake review. You're a terrible person, whatever. But at least have the decency to make sure your grammar is correct. Gods
The nebulized Hydrogen Peroxide thing reminds me of a joke I saw as a kid, let me see if I can remember it. Oh yes! Two chemists walk into a bar. The first chemist asks for a glass of H2O, the second says "I'll have H2O, too." The second chemist dies. Which, as a 12 or so year old. Wasn't much phased by the joke, but made note that H2O2 is toxic, and avoided clear liquids I knew where likely toxic. And then the Nebulized H2O2 thing came along; and while some posts say that it's Hydrogen Peroxide flat out, most that I've seen don't. The call it some silly, barely scientific thing, or just H2O2. If a joke about someone dying because they drank hydorgen peroxide can teach a 12 year old to avoid clear liquids labeled poisonous, what the hell are adults doing spreading that nonsense.
