Story 1 - There’s an update. OP talked to her son as well as the school and rec center. Her son wants to stay with her, and the people at school and the rec center have been instructed not to give her child to those parents under any circumstances. The mother of that family tried to take OP’s son from school claiming that she was supposed to pick him up, but the front desk refused and had to call the cops to escort her out when she refused to leave. They’ve also been banned from the rec center and will have the cops called on them if they show up there.

Wholesome update to story 3: a lot of people in the comments told OP to thank his dad in actions, not words, so OP made plans to take him to the botanical gardens, and he'll be buying his dad more plants and equipment! Story 1: This actually happened to my mom and her siblings. My grandma was fighting cancer at the time, so SHE SAID YES. Turns out, "Aunt Mary" had done this before, and that's how we got "Cousin" David. She was horribly abusive, and my grandma literally had to kidnap her kids to get them back. A similar thing happened to me and my siblings in my preteens,as well. This stuff actually happens, and it's nuts.

@OuchingTigerLimpingDragon
@OuchingTigerLimpingDragon Год назад
@Matty Bruno Lucas Zenere Salas When my mother was a child, she and her siblings were bribed and then "adopted" by a lady they called Aunt Mary. My grandmother was fighting cancer at the time, so unlike the mother in the Reddit story, she agreed to hand her kids over. (Aunt Mary had done this before with a boy, whom we call Cousin David, even though he's not related to us by blood.) After beating the cancer, my grandma wanted her kids back, but Aunt Mary didn't want her to have them back, so Grandma had to "kidnap" her kids to get them back from Aunt Mary. This worked because there was never any kind of legal agreement or guardianship, just a verbal agreement, so Aunt Mary couldn't very well take it to the police. Unfortunately, Aunt Mary was very abusive to all of the kids in her care-- my mom, her siblings, and Cousin David. David's family never wanted him back, so he stayed behind with Aunt Mary and endured the abuse until he was old enough to move out.

*Update on the people who are trying to take my son* "I have tried to post this update in True Off My Chest but it keeps getting autodeleted. Since I have so many followers, I figured I'd update here and hopefully it gets around. Well, what everyone feared would happen, did. Tuesday, he returned to school. I told him he could still talk with and play with Charlie. I was hesitant to drop him off but figured you can’t live in fear. Most afternoon, my son takes the bus to a local rec center for aftercare. I had already told the school everything and that Nate and Paige were not to pick Owen up. I managed to call and even make sure he got on the bus. Aftercare was also made aware of the change in pick up list. Well, a half hour later, I get a call that Paige had tried to pick up my son. The front desk refused to release him. Didn’t say why, just that she was no longer on the list. She wouldn’t leave and the police were called. She was escorted out of the building. While she wasn’t brought to jail, there is a police report and I am using this to go to court and get an order of protection. Paige and Nate are also banned from the rec center so if they *do* show up, they will get arrested for trespassing. The police are working on ways to protect us and the local social services office has been made aware of the situation, so should they try to make a claim, they’re aware of the situation."

Story 4: When parents favor a child, it is often that child who suffers the consequences the most. They are coddled, and their bad habits and behavior are brushed off. She has to face her own issues eventually, but the parents bear a huge responsibility for how she turned out.

My parents coddled my older brother for awhile, until they eventually realized they screwed up. Do you think they changed their ways for the better and raised us both fairly? Nope. We were equal alright, equally responsible for all of his bad behavior, equal in all his faults. Him being a liar meant I must also be a lair so nothing I said could be trusted. Him being lazy and a procrastinater meant I must also be and since I was apparently a lair too, I couldn't be believed if I said I did it already or didn't have homework. He didn't do his chores so we both got in trouble and grounded because I didn't remind him or help him do it. We both have ASD and ADHD but that didn't matter, I was always partially to blame. It wasn't until I had a break down when I was 17 and he was 22 that they finally stopped treating us like we were the same person

The slightly less mature thing would be to throw a party with your sip blame talking about how this is such deserved karma. For years my da would do the one arm hug with me. Finally I said ‘both arms, Da. I’m in my 30’s and I still need proper hugs from you!’. He laughed and promptly used both arms. Still does, I’m 52 now. He says ‘I love you’ with such ease now. I’m the baby and the only living child now, sadly lost my big brother and sister to their addictions and demons. I still remember coming back from overseas, I was active duty for over 10 yrs and only took one leave to try to help my big sister. We got in VERY late and were making our way to baggage when I saw my dad there waiting for me. I drop my bags and ran to him, both of us were sobbing but made a pack to never tell anyone 😂. My team had no idea I had any emotions outside of fierce, wicked sense of humour and angry and there’s their Lt. Col. sobbing in her daddy’s arms. They were sweating from their eyes! Just retired last year and I visit him as much as possible. He lives in Florida now but I’m trying to get him to move to South Carolina, I’ve almost got him sold! ❤ OP should definitely just give his dad a huge hug. Never know, he may like it.

I mean, cool that he is worried about his gf but this is a very weird concern to have lol Third Story: Wow, OP's dad is honestly a great man. Knowing he would be losing money, he started this plant business to help his son after the thing he tried to do in the military Fourth Story: Favoritism...I personally think its a form of abuse. OP's parents straight up favored the youngest sister above everyone else which is wrong. Good thing she faced consequences for her actions for the first time, sucks it wasn’t from her own parents though Comment: That is high levels on petty lmao Fifth Story: It sounds like OP is seriously in denial about his gf. My theory for “why not foster/adopt” is that they wouldn’t know the kid as well. Yeah, are toilet skidmarks really that big of an issue? I still have my gallbladder (though, I'm not entirely sure what relevance it has? It seems to me only your anus/sphincter would affect your "aim?") and I rarely if ever leave them, like it's happened a few times in my entire life, so considerably less that once a year... and that's inside the bowl, not on the toilet seat... what is this guy going on about?

I am a bit confused as well. The only times I left skid marks on toilets was because I had not cleaned my butt properly the previous time I pooped. I experienced this during covid as I gained 70 pounds and cleaning my butt became more difficult. I adapted and am slowly losing the weight, so this is no longer an issue. That was absolutely disgusting for me. Me being a 300+ guy am confused by people assuming skidmarks on toilets are expected. Also "aiming", how and why is aiming needed for pooping? Do they need big toilet seats or to actually sit down. If they can't clean themselves, buy a bidet add on to the toilet.
@Wendy_O._Koopa
@Wendy_O._Koopa Год назад
@@threecards333 That's another thing, I used massive air quotes for the word "aiming" (though, when writing things out, it's one size fits all). If your pooper isn't perpendicular to the floor, and pointed straight down... you're doing something wrong. Like, you don't need a level or anything, it should be second nature by, say age five?

@anndownsouth5070 Год назад
Never mind, gallbladder, aiming, and anything else, don't people look behind them when they are finished? I always check if everything is the way it is supposed to be. @toddhanzlik1516
@toddhanzlik1516 Год назад
@Wendy O. Koopa In my case, since my gallbladder was taken out, I've always gone a little more regularly. What the gallbladder does is store and concentrate the enzymes that the pancreas creates in order to give a kind of kick-start to digestion, and without it, I have to use the bathroom 20 minutes after every meal. It's as if the plumbing doesn't have anything to do until the next food pushes through, or something.

The only time my mom tried to get custody of one was when their foster parents decided they were too old to have kids any more, and they wanted to put them back into the system. My mom asked them for guardianship so my friend wouldn't have to move and leave our IB program at school. We only ever got into that situation bc their parents decided it first! My wife and I are unable to adopt due to my health issues and the fact that I’ll most likely die in a few years. We are also unable to have kids, normally. It pisses me off that a family like the first story have the option to adopt and get a kid out of that system, but want to basically kidnap a child. What the hell

Ok say I have said this a couple of times but with bullies it is only a matter of time before they piss off the wrong person. I have witnessed that happening, the bully got their ass kicked so bad it was more like a beating than a fight.

I can relate to story 4, my younger sister (40+ years old!) who dropped out of middle school still lives with my parents. I wish they'd wake up one of these days.

With the last story, be prepared for retaliation if they dump her. She seems like the type. Thought that retaliation would happen eventually as I wouldn't see that relationship lasting.

So, I only poop like every 2nd or usually third day. Sometimes I'll like poop 2xs on poop day just to make sure everybody actually left the party if you know what I mean. But I for sure do NOT poop daily. Is that bad?

This reminds me of the Laura Ingalls Wilder series, where we meet the Boasts. A suspiciously childless couple who are extremely generous and make a deep friendship with the Ingalls. It's not until Laura and Almanzo have a child, that we find out their endgame. It turns out, Mrs. Boast can never have children. Mr and Mrs. Boast offer to trade a horse out of their stable, for Baby Rose. Their reasoning? Oh well, Laura can always have more kids! Laura is instantly creeped out and they leave, never to return. Spoiler alert: Laura did NOT have any more kids. (She had a boy that died in infancy, but that's beside the point).

the first story has an update, which i'll copy and paste here (tho there are others): Well, what everyone feared would happen, did. The police are working on ways to protect us and the local social services office has been made aware of the situation, so should they try to make a claim, they’re aware of the situation.
