The lack of update on story 2 is killing me, this screams someone poisoned her mind and the fact that it happened when the only 2 people that seem to know anything took her out is so suspicious.
I believe the parents of the girlfriend should get police involved as to try work out what the hell is going on. Especially when they barely got a response of their daughter
Does anyone else feel like Elise is actually in danger? Her friends are very suspicious and only her parents were able to talk to her for a short amount of time? This feels like the beginning of a Mr. Ballen story.
Story 2: Can't shake the feeling that those friends are bad people. They can't spare a few words to let him know WHY he's being suddenly cut off? Just zero communication from anyone? Something smells fishy here.
Either OP is withholding information, or something really sketchy is going on. Someone else says they hope this doesn't end up on Mr ballen, and I can't help but agree.
Option 1... friends don't want her married so they kept telling the girlfriend that OP was cheating on her every time he was out planning the proposal and are doing their best to keep him away so he can't talk things through. Option 2... She was cheating and that was the only way to leave like a victim and ghost him without any fallout toward her. 🤷🏻♀️
Like, they helped him set everything up and encouraged him to propose and everything… I have a feeling that they really did go to a restaurant and that’s when they told her some lie abt OP and it was their plan all along to break them up
I'm blown away by story 2. I feel like the friends lied to Elise and encouraged the theory that OP was a cheater, because they didn't like him for some reason.
I have three theories. 1) Same as your theory, the two friends lied something really bad about OP and Elise took it for face value. 2) OP wasn't truthful about the story, and Elise or the two friends found out something really bad about him with proof. At least people in r/AITA often downplay their wrongdoings in the main story and share additional information in the comments that makes them look much worse. 3) The whole story is fake.
@@annika5893 or the "friends" are planning/doing something and she's in danger. Also, rslash might be right with one of his theories. There's so many possibilities right now. If I was op I'd be calling the cops and asking for a wellness check.
Elise could have gotten cold feet and told a lie to them or Elise was cheating. It could be a whole load of things it's overall very suspicious that the friends helped OP only for them to tell him to stay away.
that my theory to that both of her friend hate OP and want them to break up but when OP was about to plan a proposal surprise, they freak out, so they lie Ellie that OP cheated on her
She murdered TWO PEOPLE, one being a child that didn't even get to live their life yet. Took a mother from her second child and husband/wife. That is absolutely disgusting. I truly hope she gets longer than 20 years. Plus, if the prisoners find out she killed a child she is 100% going to receive hostility/abuse while in prison. She deserves it.
Child killers usually don't fare well in prison. They usually have to be kept in a place called "AD SEG" and even then they're still targets to "get what's coming to them".
I'm confused about the murder thing. Wasn't she drunk? Murder is when you kill on purpose. Unless I missed something which I could of I'm watching while gaming, this sounds more like manslaughter while drunk driving. Keep in mind this DOESN'T make anything better but I'm just confused is all.
@@jack_stone, Because in more and more states, including my home state of California, laws and legislation have ben changed that if you kill someone while under the influence, its no longer Vehicular Manslaughter. Its now charged as Vehicular Homicide. That using a vehicle under the influence shows intent, but not to degree of first-degree murder or second-degree murder. And people who kill while driving under the influence are now facing harsh penalties. As they should!
@@jack_stone I don't know the laws about it on other countries, but at least in mine it's stated that killing someone while DUI is an aggravating factor. This is thanks to "Madres del Dolor" (Mothers of Pain), a group of parents whose children were killed on the streets by people driving recklesly or under the influence. They fought for years to make this law, before that it was an extenuating and a bailable offense. And are still fighting because it's not enough. But giving that she is possibly facing 20 years, I guess there are more strict laws about it there (here is 6 years, I wish it was more). Sorry for my english.
I agree the enabling the sister lead her down this stupid path and now she needs to face the consequences, SHE KILLED A MOTHER AND A CHILD! Face it princess you’re going to jail
Story 2 is very frustrating. If she went no contact she is not allowing herself the opportunity to have been mislead. Act fast because the longer you are being mistreated by her the less chance of her admiting to having been victimising you because of manipulation
Holy cow that first story came out swinging. How disgusting must you be to think everything will be fine and dandy after taking someone's life. I also hope she gets the full 20 years.
the sister sounds like that girl who ran over two people and smiled and laughed while the cops are with her in the hospital and smilled in her mugshot.
A distracted driver killed my father while Dad was on his motorcycle. Nothing was done to him, so maybe the murderous sister will get a light sentence.
@@deniseeulert2503 Different types of accidents have very different penalties. Drunk Driving has a mandatory sentence because it was illegal for her to be driving in the first place, so it's elevated to manslaughter range. Accidents that don't involve drugs or alcohol are not always charged, but under the influence is.
Story 3: Honestly, that reality check was well deserved. Doesn't look like he completely learned his lesson, but at least the parents don't coddle him anymore
Had to cut off a family member that was like this. I don't think they ever learned. Blocked their number and haven't heard from them in over three years.
@@rubyred6169 Same, but not before the parent that took them in *died* in their twilight years miserable and in debt while swearing up and down they were a good person when not a few months earlier they were threatening them with violence at 2 in the morning. OP's parents made the better decision to escape and the mom especially deserves the retirement with her ailing husband to finally enjoy themselves.
While that is true, I do wonder if the guy might be neurodivergent but undiagnosed. Not that it excuses anything, but it might explain where the behaviour comes from.
Story 2 is so confusing. I don't understand how someone could spend three years together, and then leave without saying a single word, even in anger. Really hope there's an update eventually.
@@stevenandrewchua542 has to be, but it's still really worrying she hasn't been in contact herself. To take someone else's word without confirming it yourself is some drama movie bs.
@Steven Andrew Chua Right. Like some other commenter said, they probably said something along the lines of him cheating and renting the cabin for his mistress or something. So weird. We definitely need an update.
@@akl2k7 I have to think it's worse than that. Like, in my mind that's not bad enough to immediately go no-contact and threaten police involvement. My mind instantly goes to "they told her he did something illegal/evil/a combo of the two"

Was this recent? I swear I just saw a tiktok from a cop trying to tel a girl she killed two people and she wasn’t getting it. Kept asking if she was going to get her car back to go to school..I wonder if it is
Oh my gosh, I remember that. It just didn't click for her that she wasn't going to go back to school and just carry on her merry little life like nothing happened.
That bodycam you're talking about is of a girl that killed two guys while driving to the club/bar and while its equally as disgusting it isn't the same person as the story in this video (although I thought the same thing at first until it got to the part about the victims) The full bodycam arrest and iirc questioning is available on here and if I can remember where I'll edit to let people know how to watch the full thing if they want to Edit: the full video is on the channel law and crime network, posted a month ago and is called Bodycam: illinois woman laughs, plays dum after killing two people in deadly dui crash She only got 14 years..
First story: I hope she gets extra years. If she is that entitled, and her parents are such enablers I can see her acting out lashing out, acting awful and showing no remorse and it'll be all caught on video. The judge could add time on their own decision of lack of caring about it, and the recorded info would go well with any potential parole against her later to. Let her rot.
They don't add on extra years for entitlement. The only thing an attitude could effect is not having any cut from her sentence. These types of charges have a penalty range. In this case her max penalty per kill is 10 years, that's why she's "Facing up to 20 years" for two counts, it's actually 4 to 10 years for each. If she showed remorse and this was her first time, etc should could face as little as 4+4 = 8 years or if she's got a bad attitude or it's shown that this was a pattern of behavior then the max sentence is 10+10 = 20 years. These numbers can vary by state, CA is up to 10 per kill. After sentencing she can have some of that reduced for good behavior while in prison as well, but you won't see those results until she's been in for a number of years.
@@Vincent_Beers That’s what I was thinking too. The only thing a lack of remorse or attitude would do is piss away any patience or lenience the judge might have had. Unless she acts out and is held in Contempt of Court for it or if she shows blatant disregard for the fact that she killed 2 people, I don’t it’ll affect her sentencing much.
Actually if they can prove she drove while intoxicated before they can get 20 to life, They would have to change the charges but I have seen it happen. Sounds like she needs it!
Something is seriously off about the 2 friends regarding their relationship with Elise. They threaten harassement charges if the guy tries to talk to his (ex) girlfriend and it seems nobody gets to contact the girl besides her parents, but once they knew what they were calling about she suddenly couldn't talk to them anymore... I think he may need to confront the 2 of them directly with maybe some backup. If it even is for some actual answers.
"For those wondering if I will be having a "helping" hand in her trial. I plan to tell the truth about her if the state decides to ask for it. If that means in front of a jury then I am more than willing." Edit from the post. Seems like that's exactly what she did.
Story 1: yeah that girl needs more time with no chance of parole Story 2: I agree those “friends” definitely caused it's the only thing that makes sense Story 3: love it when the man baby gets a dose of reality let's see how long it takes to grow up
1st story: I would have testified as a character witness AGAINST my sister and told the court how irresponsible and sociopathic she was. And how she doesn't even seem to care what she has done (in case she pretends to do that in court). Then I would have cut contact.
That might help her pull off an insanity plea. I don't know if the penalties under that plea would meet the crime, even though yes, she is a sociopath.
@@ShadowTaipan I don't really know where you got the idea of an insanity plea from. Unlike in movies an insanity plea doesn't mean you don't get consequences, it means you get psychiatric care. You will still be locked up, but it will be in a hospital rather than a prison. And there is no way her lawyer would, or even could, try to go for that. However her lawyer is likely to try to talk the prosecutor down to a lesser charge. OP said 20 years, so it seems like they are going for something like vehicular homicide as the charge. The definitions of charges and the punishments vary from state to state, so it's hard to say exactly. OP's sister's lawyer will probably talk it down to a vehicular manslaughter charge, which would be bullshit as the sister has driven under the influence previously. Hell, if the prosecutor sucks the sister might get an even better deal. In some states you can get vehicular manslaughter as a misdemeanor and only 12 months in prison. That is a hell of a lot better than 20 years. But if OP offers herself the the prosecution as a character witness against her sister then any chance the lawyer has of softening the charge goes out the window. If this goes to court and OP tells the court about the previous incidents of driving under the influence (OP never specified if any of those are in her criminal record or if their parents covered for her) and the lack of remorse her sister has displayed since the accident, then the court will throw the book at her. No amount of crocodile tears from the sister can save her from that.
@@ShadowTaipan I don't think that would work actually, because sociopaths and psychopaths are technically sane. The insanity plea is more so for cases of extreme paranoid schizophrenia, in which the perpetrator genuinely believes they did nothing wrong and likely thinks they did something good or heroic. Socio and psychopaths know their violent urges are seen as wrong by society, they simply don't feel any remorse for their actions (unless it results in consequences for themselves). Even if she was diagnosed as a sociopath, unless she's got other issues going on, I highly doubt they'd deem her insane
i’m on your side about story 2-i think leah and david lied to elise about what OP was doing. i think they lied saying OP was cheating and used the opportunity of taking elise out to “tell her the truth”.
Yeah I'm definitely suspicious of leah and David. I think they don't like the bf and don't want her to get married because that takes time and attention away from them
Story 2: I think the friends are incredibly suspicious. It’s almost as if they wanted some information Elise had to go unchallenged, and telling OP what the issue is was a non-option because he’s immediately be able to disprove it. i.e. say that Leah and David told Elise that OP was cheating on her and “proved” it using the fact that he rented out a cabin, with evidence of that fact, if he knew that’s what the issue was it would take OP almost zero effort to prove that he rented it out to propose AND that he’d roped the friends into it. “He’s cheating on you. Oh don’t worry about your stuff we’ll collect it for you. You never have to see him again.” sounds like a friend being supportive, but it would also cover their tracks perfectly. It’s also why telling Leah and David that they can’t collect her stuff, only Elise can, won’t work. They’ll just tell her “OP’s withholding your stuff nothing we can do”. I feel like the parents are the only way this gets solved, David and Elise didn’t seem to count on them getting involved and they are the only way OP, and potentially Elise, will get any truth out of this.
First Story: 20 years is all she gets? I never understood why drunk or intoxicated people don’t get life for killing someone while driving under the influence or driving drunk? That always pisses me off. Let me start off with OP's parents; these two are among the worst kind of parents. Their youngest daughter TOOK A LIFE and clearly don’t care about the lives of the victim nor her family. "Fake cry and they will give her a slap on the wrist" the level of no remorse is baffling. OP's sister deserves way longer than 20 years, I personally think that is light because no one told her not to drive while intoxicated and she was so drunk that she didn’t even remember leaving the party. Drunk drivers are pure scum Second Story: The first red flag was when neither of them wanted to answer OP and the second red flag is all of them not telling OP what he did to get this reaction. Something is up with Leah, David, and Elise. I hope there is an update for this because all three of them are very sus Third Story: Lmao, when OP mentioned their brother on Discord I immediately thought of a Discord mod. That being said, this grown ass man has the absolute audacity to threaten to sue everyone because be will he forced to move out and figure out what his next move is? Lmaoo this is a 31 year old man acting like this. This man child is pathetic. Lmaooo, ironic how he is claiming he is "too good" for McDonalds while currently living at a crackhouse. This is hilarious
Even worse in the first story, she didn't take A life, but TWO And even worse a mother and her child Why do these people not get life in prison or even the death sentence where it's still allowed
Story 3: When he threatened to sue, I would've told him "Oh, where are you going to get that money from to hire a lawyer huh? God forbid you use the graphics card money for it amiright?"
@@foxi13xI wonder about that myself constantly. Intentional or not, it could’ve been avoided if she didn’t get behind the wheel. Thats why I don’t get why people who drive drunk and cause an accident that kills someone don’t get life because it deadass could’ve been avoided
Someone found a short update with some details to dilute some theories. Op says David is gay so he’s sure it’s not them wanting get Elise and David together. He’s sure she’s safe because her parents said they talked her for a bit but she wouldn’t go into details. She said she wasn’t feeling well but would talk to them more in a day or two. David and Leah only took some of Elise’s clothes and shoes but not all her things. People suggested OP relay to her parents that only her parents or Elise could come get things of hers going forward, and no one else. He’s been blocked by her everywhere except email so he’s going to try contacting her that way. For now, no other updates. These are details from someone else’s comment. I don’t have a link
Story 1: I don't think OP's sister will survive long enough in jail to do her 20 years, aren't prisonners & guards "not a fan" of people who commited crimes that involve children?
They mostly hate sex crimes involving kids as that's the common scenario. If she just said "vehicular manslaughter" without mentioning to anyone who was involved then she won't be treated as bad as a pedophile.
@@Tues48 She doesn't need to say anything, a relative of the victims or a guard who give the info to the wrong people will be enough for something bad to happen.
Story 2 - I was really hoping that there was a update to find out what happened. And I do agree that there is something going with OP's girlfriend's friends. And hopefully there will be an update in the near future.
Yo, I think moistcritical covered the first story. He reacted to a video of a lady in college who was driving drunk and killed two people, during the interview with the police, she was completely unaware of what she did. She was told multiple times she killed two people and she was only concerned about her car and classes in the morning.
Story 1 really hit home for me since my grandfather died in 2021 as the result of an accident caused by a 16-year-old driver. She wasn’t intoxicated, but I still wish she could have faced jail time since her careless driving caused someone’s death. I as well hope the sister in the first story gets the full 20 years.
was she realy driving carelesy though? I have seen from quite close by how someone was affected by causing an accident where people died he was in the wrong but it was an honest mistake with major consequences. no one is perfect it can happen to anyone however in case of drunk driving for example the person is 100% responsible
Jesus Christ. You need some mental help. Without context, it could’ve just been an accident. Chill out and at least consider how f****d up what you just said was
@@gavinsmith9871 We never had any communication from the girl, and her mother apparently posted on social media about it, giving thanks that her daughter was safe while not saying one word about the elderly people her daughter had injured, if that answers your question.
Well, that's quite the opener. Yikes. o~o Please, people... Don't drive under the influence of anything. Don't take the chance. Don't be the person to destroy a family. Also, please do have a good day!
I will never understand why parents set their children up for failure like that. It would break my heart for one of my kids to end up like that last one or that 1st one.
UPDATE TO STORY 2!!! OP hasn't heard from Elise, still, but David is gay, so he couldn't have feelings for her. The comments theorise something has happened to Elise and that she could be dead.
The proposal one really reminds me of the story a few years back where op's girlfriend thought it would be super funny to tell people op was abusive towards her as a prank, and everyone who they knew completely cut him off almost overnight and he had no idea what was going on or why everybody was angry at him and nobody was willing to talk to him and clue him in.
Kind of update for story 2 so op has added some more info like David being gay and he won’t be giving the rest of the stuff directly to David and Leah and he’s going to tell the parents of Elise to get it or for them to get it. He also said he’s going to try to contact Elise by writing everything he can think of and send an email and one of his friends who knew Leah before op and her met was asked by op to find out what’s going on.
Story 1: This is what happens when you constantly shield someone from consequences, they end up committing the most irreversible actions imaginable. Hope she gets those 20 years, she needs them
@@agentzapdos4960generally speaking, I prefer the death penalty be avoided, but this woman is 99% more likely to get worse based on the sheer lack of empathy she has.
Story 3: I hope beyond hope that OP and the family never cave. I know first hand how a sibling that entitled can be; give them an inch, they'll take parsecs. Give them a cent, they'll take millions. They need to cut him off, stay off, and get on with their own lives. Either he fixes his life or dies, but they need to put it in his hands and stop burdening themselves.
RSlash, PLEASE keep an eye out for an update on Story 2. That is so suspicious. I can’t imagine what could be said to break such a strong relationship so instantaneously. Especially when whatever set her off came from an external source. I can see an instant cut off like that if she walked in on OP cheating but not even OP knows what’s going on. My theory; her friends whispered something in her ear. Maybe they’ve even been planting seeds for a while now. What makes me think that this is something that happened over time is that she won’t talk to OP, someone who she wanted to marry and who she had a relationship with that should have had a stronger sway than her friends. To not even confront him about whatever she thinks he did makes me believe that she’s being controlled by her friends but we’ll have to wait and see.
Maybe it wasn't as strong as the OP thought. Lots of possibilities, but I can't quite understand why the cottage in the woods, with cameras and friends but then lunch at the GF parents (5.32).....so the cottage was rented for half a day, all the friends are supposed to be there, it's all filmed and then they go to the parents? And all the friends bugger off? Huh?
9 months later...is there still no update for story 2? Does anyone know? Edit: found the post. Still no updates almost 1 year later. I hope OP didn't do the unthinkabke because this would drive even the soundest minded person over the edge. 🥺
I’m with rslash about the proposal situation. I think the two friends said or did something to make op’s girlfriend change her mind about him. I mean they are clearly calling the shots here and keeping the two separated so that they can resolve the issue.
Story 1 : yeah I hope the girl gets 20 years and after coming out of jail refuses to talk to those 2 Satan's known as "parents ".. They are real bad guy here... Story 2 : Leah and David don't want Elise to be happy with op so they poisoned Elise mind behind a shadow of a doubt. .
I disagree. The parents are horrible, but this is ultimately all on the girl for being so recklessly irresponsible that she's getting people killed. Bad upbringing or not, she's the one making these decisions.
@skorpiongod yeah agree but not getting the parenting as a youngster leads to this kind of POS behavior.. yeah the girl is guilty AF but it falls on her parents as well " you can get away with anything without having to suffer consequences " BS..
@The truth mhm my main objection is that by calling the parents "the real bad guys" is that it perpetuates the cycle of deflecting accountability and responsibility, which is what led her to murdering two people. The parents deserve to live in shame for the rest of their lives, but ultimately, the girl is responsible for her choices.
In story 2 I think op and his girlfriends parents should have gone to the police. Surely the girlfriend could have at least given her parents more of an explanation then I just can’t talk right now. It seems very suspicious of the friends to not only keep her from op but to keep her from the parents as well

I really hope there is an eventual update to the Elise story. I had something similar happen with my best friend at the time. All of a sudden they completely stopped talking to me, wouldn’t return my messages or emails, and finally after a couple of weeks told me I had stabbed them in the back but refused to tell me what I had supposedly done, just said that “you know what you did“. this was many years ago and I’m confused to this day. I was just getting out of an abusive relationship and my friend was single with no one they were interested in, so it certainly wasn’t over a significant other. I figured they had somehow gotten something mixed up with somebody else did and thought it was me, or I somehow did something I wasn’t aware of. I guess I will never know, but this story really triggers that memory and the connected emotions.
That's sad and now I'm wondering how much stuff like this actually happens. Like, if stuff like this happens to a bunch of people then you'd think they'd tell you what's going on in case you don't know what's going on
Story 1 another prime example of “teach your kids before the law does”. There will come a day their irresponsibility has consequences far more severe than no phone or car privileges
Story 1: before cutting contact maybe contact the prosecutor’s office and see if they’d like a character witness, witness to priors or a list of other names who might have witnessed prior behaviours. If you’ve been begging people for years to take the car away, you got any of that in text or email? Sometimes silence can be it’s own form of support for the crime.
The last story was soooo good. It’s sad that it took the parents so long to realize that they weren’t doing their son any favors by allowing him to be a leech. Now he has no choice but to get his shit together since he has to officially take care of himself. Better late than never.
One year later, and still no update about the second story. Well, except some edit someone already commented (David is gay, and OP decided not to let the two friends to get the stuff)

All of this happedned 2 days ago on Saturday, not last week. also try to contact Elise. write down everything I can think of and send her an email as I'm blocked on everything else. Also, one of my friends knew Leah before we met (they were colleagues at their old job and they set us up) so I've asked him to try to find out what's going on from their mutual friend group.
*Rslash:* Search your heart, you know it to be true. *Darth Vader:* You can't see it through my helmet, but I am staring metaphorical _daggers_ at you.
Last story gave Joel Guy Jr vibes (adult manchild who killed his parents after being told he would be financially cut off). I’m glad OP took safety precautions
Story 2: I’m pretty damn sure Elise just got kidnapped. Most of the evidence we got points to Elise being kidnapped; her friends answering the phone for her, the fact that she didn’t go straight to her parents if this was a breakup, the friends not wanting people to contact her. You can say that her parents heard her tell them she didn’t wanna talk but that coulda been the friends threatening her to say that, and not her speaking of her own accord.
So there is a minor update for Story 2. OP clarified a few things: 1. David is gay, so he doesn't believe that it has anything to do with him having feelings for Elise 2. He's still in contact with her parents, and he decided to tell Leah and David that he won't give them Elise's stuff (they only took some clothes and shoes) and that he'll tell Elise's parents that if she wants her stuff, she needs to pick it up herself 3. Elise has blocked him on all social media, so the only current thing he can think of to get in contact with her is to write everything down on an e-mail and send it to her that way 4. One of his friends is a mutual friend of Leah's as well and he's going to see if they can find out what's going on Other than that, we still don't know what's going on
i understand the first op wants to cut off their family completely and ignore the court stuff. but honestly, them and their brother should talk with the prosecutor and testify to their sisters character. i'm sure the jury would love to hear how many times that sister had driven drunk, and how Op had begged her to stop. how many times Op begged their parents to stop her.
Update on the Elise story but nothing really new: ETA: Been up all night and was going through the comments. I cannot reply to every comment and message but I just wanted to say that I appreciate all the supportive comments and messages. I don't have any updates yet but I wanted to add some details for the people speculating. For the people worried about Elise's safety, her parents called her yesterday and talked to her briefly. She just said that she's not feeling good right now and she'll call them in a few days to talk. So apparently she's safe. I've told them to call me as soon as they hear back from her. Also, David is gay so I don't think there's anything going on romantically between them. For the people saying that I did something wrong (cheat, or physically hurt her) IDK what to say to you. If I did that then I won't be losing all my sleep looking for answers. Some people suggested that I don't give Elise's stuff to Leah and David, and I think it's a good idea. I'll tell her parents that if they want her stuff, they can either tell Elise to get it or come get it themselves. Last story is wild. I've had lots of help from my parents and lived home for a long time but that piece of garbage took it to a whole new level. "graphics card funds" like what? Thats a luxury nowadays, not something you get when you're borderline on the streets.
Sounds like Leah and David manipulated Elise into leaving OP, it just feels too suspicious of them to insist that Elise doesn't want to talk to OP and claiming they'll report him for harassment. Shame there's no update yet but OP not only deserves way better now, Leah and David can go trip in a ditch.
Story 1: The daughter deserves to have the book thrown at her. What's more, so do the parents for raising such a little monster that she has no empathy or guild for ending two lives.
that disaster proposal story is just another example i will use to reaffirm that my decision to live a single life is still one of the best decisions i have made in my entire life
The parents truly failed their child. Never gave her any consequences for her actions to the point where now she has to spend more time in jail than she did being alive. And for good reason too. Maybe she will be taught a valuable lesson from her fellow inmates because her parents are massive screwups.
In terms of story 1, that's awful. I feel like 20 years IS the the slap of the wrist. Also, if I were the OP, I'd go to the courtroom . . . just to see that girl and the enabling parents' reactions to her sentence for unaliving a mother and her baby.
The proposal story is probably my actual worst nightmare. The most important person in my life refusing to talk to me because of.... Something and nobody will explain what it is and the suspicion that it's all a manipulation by other people trying to slander me
Story 2 disaster proposal still has no update. People are speculating that David and Leah convinced elise that op was cheating by showing snippets of convo
Has anyone else seen this one video that’s gone viral of a girl in a police station and the cop is trying to explain to her that she just killed two people with her car, and all she seem to care about is that she has class the next day. Could that be the sister from story 1? That’s what I instantly thought about when hearing this.
The first story reminded me of a clip from the dusty smith show a couple weeks ago where a cop was trying to explain to a DUI he brought in that she wouldn't be able to make her class on tuesday because she had just killed 2 people
That first story, that OP really needs to not give up and run, they need to show up at court... but against the sister, and be a character witness, about how she has never took responsibility, that she has done this many times before, on other drugs, and how the parents have enabled her and not done anything to try to make the destructive behavior stop, and how even now they are sure it's going to "blow over" and for that reason they want the sister to have the maximum sentence possible as never once has the sister seemed remorseful or regretful.
Had to take a look to see if there was ever any updates to the second story and STILL nothing beyong whag Rslash read, unless Op made another Throwaway or made an update on their main, whatever that is. I’m still wondering what actually happened. Maybe we’ll learn the truth in a few years via an R/BestofRedditUpdates post
As somebody that has lost one of their best friends to a drunk driver, I believe there should be three different charges available to those that have been pulled over for it. 1. If they have not killed anyone; you receive a hefty fine, a suspended license, and a warning that if they're ever pulled over again for drunk driving again, they will have their right to drive revoked. 2. If they kill someone or injure someone in the process of driving drunk, they will receive 10 years in pris, and a revoked license, and a lifetime ban from applying for a new one. And if any liability is found With the bar they left from than compansation for damagees will automatically be levied from the finances of that bar. 3. If someone previously convicted of the first offense is found driving under under their suspended licens, they will receive a lifetime suspension. Anyone caught driving under a lifetime suspension due to drunk driving, they will receive a life sentence In prison.
First story sounds an awful lot like that one video that went viral recently of the 19 year old who killed 2 people because she was wasted and all she could ask was "when do i get to go back to school?".
Story 1: people who do nothing but party are never partying. That's a sign of either narcissism, borderline personality disorder, severe depression, or substance addiction. That the parents didn't seem to think anything was wrong despite all signs showing there was something wrong is an indictment of them as human beings.
Story 1, it would be a shame for sister is the prosecution attorney somehow came across the information about prior duis. I'm sure they'd even appreciate the offer to be a character witness.
It depends. Whether you can fake another person's voice or not depends on your own voice and your skill. I doubt these people are top tier voice actors
The story with Elise... I've had this happen to me. It came to light that there was another guy involved. Once a woman no longer wants you (especially if they've been cheating) they can become cold, bitter and detached. Often associated with narcasism.
Ughhh man baby! I am sorry but they have enabled him and this is what they get. As a parent, I couldn't do this with my kids. I really hope his parents go through all of this.
I really appreciate the content warnings before these stories. I listen to Rslash to fall asleep each night after some pretty terrible PTSD. It was car related, so knowing this video had descriptions of that early on helped me skip it and not trigger flashbacks for me. Rslash, if you see this, it would be much appreciated if you could possibly mention triggering content before each story, or in the description- thank you! /gen /pos
Story 3: As a person who plays valorant there are too many man babies in matches. It’s so refreshing to hear one of them got what they deserve. R/ I promise some of us actually touch grass
Story 2: This is definitely suspicious. David and Leah left to go pick up Elise for the proposal that OP was planning. They never show up. They don't answer their phones until the second ring on Elise's phone. Leah tells OP that Elise is ghosting him and to never contact her again. Elise's parents call and Elise goes low contact on them. Either David and Leah told such convincing lies to Elise that she believed every word they said or all three of them were becoming Thelma & Louise by committing crime and running from the law. Either way, I hope there is an update.
One of the possibilities I was thinking is that David wants something with Elise, and Leah knows and supoorts this, so they poisoned her mind? Though this doesn't make too much sense either cause otherwise they'd have dismissed the idea of a proposal from the start. It's so weird, there are no real logical explanations.
Story 1: just finisshed story one and HOLY SHOT- Yeah that sister needs to face the consequences, and the parents need to wake up. A father lost his daughter, a husband lost his wife, and they think this was just a "mistake". I can bet the parents would be like "why is OP and our son not talking with us anymore? We did such a nice job raising all of them" eugh Story 2: Story 2 is also just- I HOPE we'll get an update down the road, it's been a month since this was posted with no update (or comments from OP), this feels so suspicious. The fact the friends don't want to say anything about this is hella suspicious too. I hope OP will be able to heal from this. Story 3: In some ways this story hits home but in others, damn the "man baby" brother... I wouldn't want to live with *that* dude...
I don’t normally like videos. I have an entire download playlist of my favorite Reddit stories I like to listen to. But I’m liking this one just in case there’s an update on story 2 because that is just insane!
