I found out my grandpa probably only has a couple days to be with us. Just some of the worst news I've had in a long time. This is the exact interview I needed tonight. I appreciate you making me laugh tonight. I needed it alot. Thank you Truth, Bubba, Mark, and Dave. Love you guys.
@@naquanbennett3713 I appreciate that. Alot. For some reason I just felt like I needed to comment on this video. Just typing what I'm feeling. This video cheered me up a lot
WWE needs to reward R Truth with a magical, underdog WWE world heavyweight Championship run. People keep saying its amazing how he doesnt need a belt to be over.......but that's not the point. The man is over, he has been consistently beloved by the fans and his energy literally revitalizes championship scenes. He literally made the U.S title feel so action packed and importamt when he beat Shinsuke for the title. He single-handedly carried the 24/7 Championship. Whenever R Truth is asked to be a villain or a sympathetic hero, he is able to draw so many emotions. Its actually a crime if they dont let R Truth flex other aspects of his personality and character. He would truly be an underdog champion that everybody would get behind and love. And he doesnt even need to hold the belt for a long time, he just needs to hold it for like 3 months.
Uh no..? He is older now and he been a jobber for a while since the 24/7 champion, how would it make sense for him to magically become good enough to beat the tribal chief. Makes no sense
@@yaknowglock5353he doesn’t need to beat Roman but you could have him have a title run with the United States or the Intercontinental or maybe even Seth Rollins title
@@fupalover dude there's a Samoan heavyweight champion, Australian woman's champion, Austrian Intercontinental champion, Japanese Woman's and tag team champions, Irish and Puerto Rican men's tag champs, German NXT champ, Irish woman's NXT champ and Nigerian NXT NA champ Your argument sucks.
R Truth hands down is THE most underrated performer in the business. Good to see more people finally realize just how good he is. The TRUTH shall set you free! 👍
I think underrated because he is holding so many titles, but he is an amazing wrestler, and will be one of the guys that will keep growing. The fact his merch is selling more than others, that says a lot. So maybe it’s his decision if he wants to hold the belt and become serious or just have fun or try n do both. I’m looking forward to see his journey. Much love Mahalos, Truth is awesome 😎
what a powerful statement, patience, and being your own cheerleader. Mark, Bubba and Truth have given me some of the most joyful moments in my 50 years of watching the sport. Thank you guys.
I knew Truth wasn’t a young guy but when I seen he was 52 I was like broooooo 😂😂 dude nails the splits doesn’t miss a beat in the ring and is brilliant on camera so glad he’s back 😂😂
I know R Truth was the guest... But Mark Henry was everything right about this video!! I am blotting tears from watching his reactions! Thank you so much for this!!
ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO NOT LIKE -ROOT and CHEER for a guy like R-Truth . you can just see the joy on his face and the joy he's bringing to his peers and it just explodes off the screen during this interview
I remember from 2013 to 2016, whenever there was a House show in Montreal, R-Truth was always the first wrestler to come out, and he always had the audience in the palm of his hands!
I always thought R Truth could be a great World Champion ever since his TNA days. So talented and has a personality that everyone loves. Dude is really the truth
@@CancelledExplorer for real tho. Seem like Gunther brought prestige back to the IC, correct? I don't watch like I used to.I Just check now and again for the Bloodline saga.
Waiting for R- Truth and Roman to cross paths. I remember an old interview where Roman mentioned R- Truth keeping morale up backstage, and how funny he is.
I just would like to thank RT and the podcast. When I heard how you made it important to be your own cheerleader and keep your head positive when you were stuck on the sidelines. It made me tear up. I have been having a hard time the last few days. I am stuck on the sidelines myself. I am recovering from surgery and unable to walk. I really needed to hear that
You are going to make it girl, yes you don't know me, but you have my support. I havent been the same since my lower back Injury. I have to share my personal motto with you, "Open hearts, open minds, embrace every shade of girl". Much love and respect to everyone.
R-Truth is not only a superior athlete he could leave wrestling today and do a stand-up comedy tour by the end of this year he would have an HBO special he is that funny and likeable❤
R-Truth is next level right now. Seriously. That video he did about always wanting to be a part of Judgment Day was one of THE funniest things, ever. EVER. Between R-Truth’s resurgence, LA Knight knocking it out of the park, Cody being on fire, Randy coming back to mega pops every night, etc. This truly is The “Baby Face” Era of the WWE and it’s never been better, baby!!
So happy for Truth, has hung in there and getting rewarded. Been a slog but living his best life the now. He is 50 ish and still fit as a fiddle. Enjoy this moment Truth. Daz from Scotland
@@Icanbarelyfinishpersonagames 100% agree. This was 1 of the reasons I hated Vince. Truth imo checked off every single category save for looks in Vince's eyes. But luckily Triple H sees talent, and I can definitely see Triple H and the rest of the locker room give him that chance.
I know we all talk about the "Good ol days" but I genuinely feel people in WWE nowadays are just having FUN while making tons of money and loving the art of pro wrestling. R Truth is living proof of this. Super happy for him.
R-Truth just seems like one of those people who feed others with their energy. Like as soon as he steps in the spot everybody is instantly smiling and more upbeat. Love Truth. Glad to see him getting his due
I'm so happy Truth is getting his flowers. I remember him in TNA talking shit about Cena in rap battles to being the #1 merch seller in wwe when he's not even champion let alone pushed in the main event is INSANE 😂
R truth should have a job for life. When his wrestling days are done he should be made a manager and keep playing his comedy while trying to mentor young wrestlers back screwing up and making them lose instead.
R-Truth is a consummate worker. Too often, people in the business can't see the bigger picture. There are only so many title belts. Realistically, most aren't going to get a push to hold a title and if they do, it won't be for long. Most should aspire to be like R-Truth, making the most out of what he is given and elevating himself in any given situation. Getting over with the crowd/audience, selling merch, and ultimately being a dependable draw that the office will call upon, is what makes people successful in the long run. As he said, it's about discipline and patience, being ready for when opportunity comes calling.
Everyone has been waiting for a good weekly run for R-Truth. So many interactions on social and tons of merch sales. Hope they are able top keep it up. He's earned it.
It’s so funny when truth talks about something from his childhood because he’s literally older than every other wrestler he ever mentions. Saying John cena was his childhood hero was so funny
Thank you for this interview. I missed the first 20 years of his career, and only caught some clips of the “my bad” spots on RU-vid. R-Truth is legit my favorite wrestler right now. My dude is just out their having fun, and his work in the ring is top level.
As much as we want to talk about CM Punk, LA Knight, Cody Rhodes, Seth Rollins, Randy Orton or Roman Reigns, R Truth may very well be the most popular of all.
