7.2 not really bad, since the bydo are still destroyed, but i would say "less good" than 7.0, 7.2 throws some r-type delta cerberus R-13 ending vibes, where the ship is unable to escape from the dimension due to low wave cannon power not able to open the portal, and is absorbed by the bydo.

That moment you realize that all those pieces of scrap metal that the Slug feeds on and uses to create its nest, are all ships just like yours... What I do not get: If that Slug-thing at the start, was basically feeding of Spaceships just like yours, living among at least hundreds of thousands of them, then how can the lady at the end say that humanity won using ONE single ship?
The Bydo are the wrecked ships. There comes a point where they're no longer a military weapon gone wrong, they've nurtured and become the vengeful spirits of the dead pilots, at least that's how I see the 7.0 ending. Kill the final force, and the souls are put to rest.
Propaganda. What's a more heroic tale. That "Thousands died at the hands of our enemy" or "One heroic fighter took on those worthless creatures and won!" Plus, I think the dimension their in functions differently. Cause in R-Type Delta, the unit Cerberus got captured and stayed there till the events of R-Type Final. Seemingly untouched and unchanged for years, remaining perfectly intact.
She's correct from a certain point of view. Yes, many pilots died along the way but 1 ship (piloted by you) defeated the boss and saved humanity. Unlike in R Type Tactics, you don't attack with a fleet so it makes sense to say that humanity won with 1 ship
in the first level, there is an R-Bydo watching you from sideline, is it the same r bydo that we are in 7.2? I need a complete wiki to explain R Final 2 tie in to R Final 1
They love to keep making dejavu eh.. 7.1 - Summer Twilight at first Final 7.2 - Ending of Space Corp campaign at Tactic 1/Command TBH for me R-Type Command ending much worst and sad because your Heimdall and entire fleet got sucked into Obsidian Pupil (only few escaped), turned into Bydo, and make a way back to earth, thinking why your comrades keep firing on you.
@@qwdqwdwqq Just wondering, was the first Final ending is the true ending as the final boss is the true core of all Bydos, or was both are just same? Coz IMO I think the core on Final 1 was the true core and true ending of all..
My take on this, based on what I’ve seen in the in game description, is this is after Final 1 and you’re basically going through the simulator to replicate the missions that have been carried out So humanity by this point have fully defeated the Bydo and are archiving all the battle records into simulator sessions for future pilots and for educational purposes, and you’re helping with this effort

Way I see it, this game lets you pick the ending you want like Mass Effect: Want a happy ending? Pick stage 7.0 Want a bittersweet ending that pays homage to R Type Final's normal ending? Pick stage 7.2 Want to be the villain and experience being on the other side? Pick stage 7.1
I honestly think the visual design is really dull looking and simplistic. The enemies, backgrounds and bosses are very boring to look at. Looks like a kid designed it, or a really lazy artist. Compare Gradius V to this game. In comparison Gradius V's visual design is far more interesting to look at. Looks like the artists couldn't be arsed to design anything cool looking in this game. On one level youre shooting at what looks like floating fridge-freezers. All the bosses look crappy except for the end boss and the one they copied from R-Type 1.
@@Tony-1971 Heh. Gradius V is made when Konami still make good games, and R-TYPE final 2 even need a campain on Kickstarter(sounds under similar situation with IGA and Bloodstained). I'm glad to see R-TYPE series revive again------since team from IREM annouanced R-TYPE final is the last R-TYPE shooting game, which was 18 years ago(the 2 tactic games are not included).
Given the funding lol. It raised like a million dollars and they had to spend some of that on the license itself and kickstarter takes a cut. A million is jack shit for a game budget now. What do you even mean no RTX 3000 support? Are you claiming you can't play this game if you have an RTX 3000? First i've heard of it. This is one of the funnest shooters i've ever played. I'm absolutely loving it. I swear people will complain about fucking anything. We got a new R-type and it's one of the best in the franchise, it's got a ton of content with more on the way. Other than a few minor nitpicks i couldn't be happier.
@@nunyabusiness9056 It doesnt look as interesting as R-Type 1 and 2 though. Theyre asking £35 for this game on the Playstation. I love these kinds of games. Im 50 years old now and i grew up playing all the old classics. I prefer the classics over modern games, but in my opinion the visual design in this game is extremely lazy. I much preferred Super Hydorah over this game. That game was beautiful to look at and awesome to play. Its just my opinion though.
