R1300GS Adventure - Live Launch Reactions 

Hi Everyone, Thanks to all of you for your comments! Having 2 or 3 days now to find out more information on this new bike, and I am afraid it’s not getting any better! 😢 So if we go for the new bike!! I think it’s not just the bike, is it BMW panniers, tank bag and so on. Is BMW making it difficult to fit 3rd party items? I have always like the GSA but now is it going to be the GS? Do I need a bigger bike with 30 litres of fuel just to go and see Andy? 😂 All the best to everyone. Dave.

It looks like an unpresentable dish in a posh restaurant, and needs to be taken back to the kitchen to be reworked. Maybe throw it in the trash, and start anew. Or just bring the old design back with the new features. That 1250 was fabulous.

Your reactions to the new GSA are spot on. BMW fans are easily persuaded so it’ll sell, as always. I’m not a fan. Only time will tell.

You are absolutely correct on tank range Andy … The furthest any European is going to ride this will be remote Morocco or perhaps distant Baku. Even there, gas stations in those places are more plentiful than the U.K. ! Dave may be correct … to see it in the flesh could change things.

Ugly things become less ugly the longer you have them and live with them on a day to day basis. Just ask my wife!!!

I think it looks great, if it looked just like the 1250 people would complain . I am sure people complained when the Ford Cortina was replaced with the Sierra but it’s called progress 😊

You could argue that a normal GS with the best metal panniers you can afford …. that’s the “sweet spot”.

When you ride it you don't have to look at it thank god 😂😂 think if the large aluminium plate was black out it would look half bad

Design fail shocker. It wont sell. Too may other great bikes out there with virtually the same tech and quality will draw hardened BMW customers away. Fully loaded at c£25k you need to be able to look back at your bike in the garage and give it that nod and smile as you confirm it a thing of beauty. Cannot see that with the new R1300 GSA.

Looks like it’s been designed by an undertaker with toilet seat up. It’s hideous.

You have got to see it in the flesh… And you can count on it , that at the end of the day, thousands will be sold anyway🤷🏼‍♀️ It’s quality, it will be a rugged bike and people riding bikes love that…

Putting aside the controversial looks … If anyone can think of better value … please post it here .. The base model (which has lots of standard equipment) is just £18K on the road.
