I know the car has been around for a while but I feel like we’re not really deeping the fact that Jimmy just tuned his own RB30 R34 Skyline on his own dyno. As a car enthusiast that’s a fucking insane situation to find yourself in and having been a following Jimmy since he and RJ showed up in a Boqer webisode years ago it fills my heart with warmth watching all of these guys live there dreams every day. I hope I meet all the crew one day just to thank them for the happiness they bring me and all of us in there videos over the years
Lock nuts on the ITBs adjustment threads are loose! Fairly sure you can see 3 of them just rattling and spinning freely at the 8min mark of this video. May want to check their balance and calibration. Good luck!❤
With how much tube work spoon does you should get him one of those spiny machines that spin a pipe for you slowly while your welding so you have one continuous weld. And man it makes such a difference

Now you guys see why we love the RB here in NZ lol the JZ is a super over built normal straight 6, it feels like it was designed for sedans and shit then juiced up for performance cars like the Supra but the RB feels like a sports car engine they dumbed down to use in base models, it just feels and sounds sharper and more aggressive and I love that. Plus I'm always down for more excitement and less reliability
We got 2JZ in something like 2/3rds of all Lexus vehicles. They used to be everywhere back in the day. On the flip side, we got absolutely zero 1JZ and RB engines in NA so it’s taken quite a while to build up our supply on the used market. RB30 engines, in particular, are extremely rare.
Speed Academy did something similar to this on their “response” 2JZ Supra, running a smaller turbo. They not only saw less back pressure but saw quicker spool time running a larger exhaust housing with the smaller compressor housing.
You can always run a vacuum block to a map sensor, if you run vacuum lines from each itb into a vac block and then take a line from the vac block to the sensor. It eliminates all the pulses in the vacuum signal

RB30's love boost, when you're ready and go to E85 you can go up to 30psi plus with love. I think that turbo will be a bit small, but the potential is endless with this combo. Great work as always Jimmy!
Crazy to see the evolution of the team. Last time Jimmy got a rusty Nissan dream car Colette put a DCT 13B setup. With Spoon it was just minor setback to a RB30. Def gotta get a bigger turbo or let Spoon run wild with a custom manifold for twins

I keep waiting for these guys to get a valvetronic muffler set up. Remote control so you can bypass for a roar and close it so it purrs like a kitten. It has internal resonators so even 4 cylinders sound good. Put one on the Frs so you can have both, no need for an open dump tube to get rowdy.

The e36 wagon needs an RSI manifold. In my opinion it’s sounds nearly identical to a single turbo rb26. It’s the route I’m going on my e36 and I can’t wait till it’s done.
Watching Jimmy n Austin in the 34 when he did the 1 2 3 was fuckin great, both were straight cheesin from the pulls hahaha that's how u kno its awesome. Love the build that RB sounds amazing. Mite need a HKS Ssqv to get that true sound but man it's good. Props fellas

Get a Nitto wide journal bottom end for this thing, slightly bigger turbo on a twin scroll manifold, put it on E85, and let her EAT! 1000 RWHP easy, lol.
