I'm trying to get to everyone's comments and im not use to this much activity so bare with me here IM TRYING and no its not an fz06 because the Guage cluster lol
Two words.... DEATH TRAP......lol Cool build! I use to work with my buddy who went to Rugters University. They built and raced a small Formula car as a part of their engineering degree. It too had a 600.... the thing ripped.
@@mynamesfred He is right Fred. No helmet=death trap. Pencil thin roll bar- false confidence=death trap. No seatbelt=death trap. Flying by multiple wooden poles (that won't budge when hit)=death trap. Motor that way over powers what the frame and brakes were designed for=death trap. Driver who is over confident= death trap. I've been around the block. Almost raced motorcross. Studied Engineering in college. Have taken my fair share of risks. Also suffered a concussion that I still feel today. No one is saying not to have fun. You are likely a talented mechanic and a good off-road driver. Just be smart so you can enjoy getting out there for the next 30+ years. Bad stuff can happen in the blink of an eye. Trust me on this- or don't. It's your journey man but if multiple people are telling you the same thing- with no vested interest to steer you wrong- put the pride and ego on the shelf for a minute and listen...or don't. It does not effect my life one bit, but you have been warned. Cheers mate!😉
It looks a little too powerful to be able to control it well. I think that you should take off the front sticker, so the power will be a little more manageable.
Going to build mine midship and awd thank you for the prototype you built its inspiration for mine. Being a welder, mechanic, and driver is one hell of a drug.
Looks a lot like an ASW frame. I have an ASW kart and the stock 149cc 8HP engine beats it up in my yard. Top speed of about 29 Mph. I pop the front shock regularly causing the lower suspension arm to flip back and the nose to dig in standing the kart up on the front-end. (Thank goodness for the 4-point belts) I don't know how yours moves that fast and stays in one piece when it has to carry the weight of those giant, solid brass balls around. I love it!
I knew from the title this would be good. We built mini formula cars with these engines, and they were incredible. Death trap is probably right, beef up that cage!
@@mynamesfred I wish... we didn't even have cell phones with cameras back then. Late 1990s. It was called formula SAE... there are definitely videos of more modern versions of it. They were getting mid 2s 0 to 60 times. All my videos now are outdoors stuff and shooting now.
@dwbowhunterable lol sorry im spoiled on technology I guess 😅 but yeah they move pretty good mid 2's 0-60 had got to hurt like being shot out of a cannon lol
I imagine it feels amazing driving a monster of a machine that you built yourself Looks stupid fun, only thing I would add is a reverse gear as a separate small electric motor
It has an actual reverse but unlike a car were its in the transmission this reverse the gear in the rear end. The motor has so much power going to the rear end that it will knock the rear end into neutral so i used a ratchet strap to keep it in the forward gear
It has it, but the rod kept slipping and throwing the rear end in neutral I have to stop get out pull the lever back in drive it sucked so I used a ratchet strap to hold it in the drive mode so it can't slip might of been from all the rmps
I've been stuck in NW Iowa my whole life. Man if someone handed me the keys to that machine, I'd want to drive all the way to that mountain lol that looks fun as hell. You really drove the shit out of it too
There is another video where i was going faster and i never really took it up any mountains yet im going to eventually tho :) i i use to go camping in iowa as a kid fishing there is awesome
I really love this go kart and the gas sound is really great I wish I could ride around gas go karts I really loved the gas sound from the beginning these are so cool and neat
Some people go to starbucks, order a pumpin spice late machiatto with double whip cream and then take 10 pictures for instagram and call that fun. Can't relate. This however... This does look like fun to me. There is just something about riding a beast that's screaming on the top of it's lungs at 10.000 rpm. What you have made here just sounds WILD. Well done.
Certified ripper you got there. I love your kart. Good work brother. Be careful. Just don't die and please wear a helmet. Use them harnesses too man. Excellent job though. Liked and subscribed.
fkn hell man. that thing looks fkn awesome and amazing to ride around in the desert. i would go slow (20-30km/hr) on the dirt but then floor it on the open stretches of road
A true death trap, I broke my forearm in half in something similar (double compound fracture). Be careful and keep your hands inside the vehicle for when this inevitably flips :)
I bet that took a few weeks to walk off? Thank God you were ok? And yeah its just a matter of time before i go flipping im sure! You mod something to do over 100 thats designed to do like 45 its gonna get wild eventually
@@xpinchx damn im sorry to hear that thank goodness your good tho seriously have you tried alternative like messing with your diet a bit? I healed my severe back pain with diet
Hell yea. Nice of you to give the peeps driving down the ol' boring I-10 a fun show. This was the sort of thing I wanted to build as a kid (though a bit less powerful than yours, lol), but I never had the resources to do so.
Haha yup thats the i10! You guys are creepy good at figuring out where im at lol i always wanted a dwarf car or legends car so this was my go to choice because i could not find one for sale lol
@@mynamesfred I mean, you said yourself you're in Buckeye. What other bigass highway goes through there, y'know? Anyway, I've always wanted to do folk racing or 24 hours of lemons or something similar. Cheap car. Go fast-ish. Have fun.
@riplox haha i didnt know you read comments most people jump on and are gone forever lol i will 100% do 24 hours of lemons with you ABSOLUTELY i saw few episodes of roadkill and its been a life long dream every since
@mynamesfred3533 try to widen your kart out and put larger wider tires/wheels on, and get a better suspension with more travel. It will help stabilize it
I appreciate it! Tell that to everyone on my video of me pulling a semi with my pickup they all thought i was trying to be cool and i just really wanted to pull a semi lol
@@mynamesfred What motorbike is this engine? if is a XJ6, its a very common sportbike here in brazil, he congrats you for the swap ( i see its from an R6 right? but the velocimeter you use is from a XJ6 too lol )
@Piazzon Secundario yes the Guage cluster is different from the R6 it actually worked for a little bit but something caused it to fail after about 15 hours of run time so no more working Guages
That frame is not made for that lmfao you're lucky it hasn't ripped apart yet, that chinese cheap shit metal isn't made for all that power. Other than that, sick build lol. Looks nasty and sounds good
@@alexvilla3624 First, you're not even competent enough to spell. Second, if you had even half of a brain cell you'd had noticed it's a 600cc yamaha NON FACTORY ENGINE.
