Raúl fue un delantero como lo tenía que ser, tener el balón y anotar. En el vídeo es claro, balón que tenía en su pies, balón que entraba a la portería. No hacia tonterías, no golpeaba al balón a lo tonto, tenía visión, y sabía a dónde patear el balon. En su etapa final si bajo, pero siempre fue RAÚL!! Por eso lo reconozco como gran delantero, y me daba mucho gusto cada que anotaba. Un gran delantero. Ahora mucho delanteros ni saben que hacer con el balón, y según son grandes, jaja. Raúl era un verdadero delantero.

But if Raul played in a team with a lot of top-class players as David Villa (Xavi, Iniesta, David Silva, Xabi Alonso, Cesc, Torres, Puyol, Ramos...), Raul would win something as Villa and scored much more than Villa. Teammates of Raul were good, but not excellent enough to be world-class players. Anyway, David Villa or Fernando Torres were excellent strikers also.
When he was younger, I've always tought Raul was slow, and not that good for Real. Now I can see he was an absolutely beast, really smart, technical and objective. Basically fit in every team in the world.
While Raul might not be one of the greatest players he definitely is within the most efficient/successful scorers. I cannot think of many players, no matter how great they are/were that can come close to his scoring skills. He was so successful, a real danger, he would take advantage of any situation, he would create the goal even in most difficult situations.

@@bodang03 Raul is the heart and soul of Madrid. He was here before the Galactico era and he is the most iconic football player to play for Real Madrid. Ronaldo is the greatest galactico but Raul will always be seen as Real Madrid's best striker + Ronaldo was more of a winger.
Por aquella época era muy del barsa, pero siempre admiré a Raúl como futbolista, para mi junto con Ronaldo y Romario de los mejores finalizadores del mundo. Y como profesional un 10, por eso nunca entendí que el gran Luis Aragonés las pagara con él, para mi fue muy muy injusto. Creo que el fútbol a nivel reconocimiento nunca le devolvió lo que el aportó... Salvo el Shalke04 en el que lo reconocieron como uno de los grandes de su historia...
He was never the same player after he got appendicitis in 2003. But he did have a late resurgence at schalke and his final season at Real. I think his problem was he achieved so much success at a young age at club level. So he burnt out too when he got older. Very intelligent player
