Ra's al Ghul, whose name translates to "The Demon's Head" in Arabic, is the centuries-old leader of the League of Assassins. He sees humanity as a cancer poisoning the Earth, and seeks to eliminate most of them in order to stave off environmental disaster. He has clashed frequently with Batman, whom he hoped to make his successor.

Yes I know but vandal I think is worse because he wants to end the world.... And it took a whole team of superheroes (legends of tomorrow) to beat him and it took a whole season to do so

I think they have Ra’s fought for the British against Napoleon in Resurrection of Ra’s al Ghul and Vandal said that he used to work for napoleon so that’s probably the only conflict they’ve been in.

true until Nolan made him anti-crime instead which sets him apart from Ivy. The Gotham version is about prophecies and purpose, he has no goal yet the actor is so good, he is my favorite

@@regiman222 By the way Raz is also wrong but closer to the correct way. The correct is Ra's like the S in Class. Kind of like when people pronounce Islam as "Izlam". It's wrong but more passable than say Iayshlam.

NGL Gotham ra's al ghul is the most powerful by far in terms of supernatural abilities like he returned for the demon's head as a zombie like blocked bullet and took them like it was nothing and had instant regeneration and the lazarus pit doesn't just gives him longetivity it gives him immortality and he moves so fast that its the blink of an eye.

You know, I would say that if the Batman films of the 90s were made better, the role of Ra's al Ghul would have gone to either: David Carradine (RIP), who would have brought so much charisma. Or to Christopher Lee (RIP) & Thomas Ian Griffith as Christopher Lee would have been the older part of Ra's al Ghul, then Thomas Ian Griffith would have been the 'rejuvenated' part of Ra's al Ghul after bathing in the Lazarus Pits.

I highly doubt that considering both characters came out the same year and Delgado’s Master made his first appearance in January 1971. Ras Al Ghul’s first appearance was in June of 71. All it takes is a tiny bit of research to get factual information.

I think that gotham Ras had potential and Alexander siddig nailed the role because it was very comic accurate... The fault is of the writers that wasted him by killing two times like an idiot when he should had been the final villain of the series instead of his daughter Nyssa......

@@angelorossi414 In his few appearances, he made an impression and became my favorite ra's by far. He has different motives that are unclear, simply existing for a long time and conquering and doing so in the name of prophecies but it fits perfectly with Gotham and new and unique, it's a change to the environmentalist like Batman Begins was when they made him anti-criminal which was a good change too. Gotham's motivation seems meek in comparison but it is realistic and fits the story of Gotham which is about power. But it'd be nothing without the actor. Batman TAS also has a great version but Alexander Siddig will always be my favorite.

Listening to these actors and cartoon voice actors butchering the name is annoying, and if anyone is having trouble understanding what does ra's al ghul means it doesn't mean the demon's head, it means the ogre's head

His looks is not accurate but his physics and interpretation of the character was the best I saw. Arrowverse also show how the league of assassin was so strong made people who joined the league also is hard to beat them. This version is the best to see him as the demon head cause of his skills, leadership and the respect for his worthy warrior assassins.
