What a beautiful presentation of raga sohini by respected panditji. Even a layman like me would be influenced a bit toward listening classical music no doubt.
Yes, in carnatic music, there is a single raag Hamsanandi with the same scale. In Hindustani music, 3 ragas exist, Marwa, Sohini and Puriya with the same swaras. However, I believe, it is the emphasis on notes (Vaadi - Samvaadi), that makes a world of difference.
Very nice program. I have almost listened to all episodes on this youtube channel. Thank you so much to the team Have you taken Rag Gorakh Kalyan? If not then suggest to cover it.
Wow! The classical music creates the mood! This song sounds so much like ‘kuhu kuhu koyaliya’ and ‘haye rama ye kya hua’ from Rangeela! Not sure if I am guessing the raag right though
@@freebirdsaumya7893 thank you Saumya! I have no knowledge about the music but I am very much keen on learning it, these videos interest me. Thanks again!
Sitaram Pothukuchi Sankara is mentioned because the Sankara and puriya and marwa raag are approximately the same..so he is telling us the difference in all three raagas..now I hope you got it
