Isaiah 42:1-8 1 Behold my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen, in whom my soul delights; I have put my Spirit upon him; he will bring forth justice to the nations. 2 He will not cry aloud or lift up his voice, or make it heard in the street; 3 a bruised reed he will not break, and a faintly burning wick he will not quench; he will faithfully bring forth justice. 4 He will not grow faint or be discouraged till he has established justice in the earth; and the coastlands wait for his law. 5 Thus says God, the LORD, who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread out the earth and what comes from it, who gives breath to the people on it and spirit to those who walk in it: 6 “I am the LORD; I have called you in righteousness; I will take you by the hand and keep you; I will give you as a covenant for the people, a light for the nations, 7 to open the eyes that are blind, to bring out the prisoners from the dungeon, from the prison those who sit in darkness. 8 I am the LORD; that is my name; my glory I give to no other, nor my praise to carved idols. The servant in these verses, is the same servant in Isa 53. Also: Stop trying to take the Glory of that servant and apply it to weak men. All men fail - even Jews - that’s the message of the Bible. Men fail, God does not fail. That’s God’s glory ! Stop trying to take credit for healing the nations with Jewish sufferings. You’re sufferings are not “the Savior” of mankind. God’s ordained, chosen Messiah is.

God's chosen messiah is not a God himself. "Muslim tradition holds that Isaiah 42 predicted the coming of a servant associated with Qedar, the second son of Ishmael and who went on to live his life in Arabia, and so interpret this passage as a prophecy of Muhammad" Are you Sunni or Shiite?

@@mrsatire9475 that “regular man” crushed the head of the serpent, while His own heal was bruised - poetic prophecy describing the cross. That “regular man” rose from the grave after being dead for a span of time that covered three days. He showed Himself alive to his defeated disciples, which invigorated them to proclaim that without recanting unto their death. His hands and feet were “ pierced“ describing a Roman Crucifixion that was not even invented at the time that David wrote that psalm. It’s amazing how every single book, the design of the temple, the description of the high priests garments, the ark,etc etc etc etc all point to Christ - the son of David - whom the Pharisees got mad at as they interpreted Him to claim to be equal with the status of God. I’m satisfied, completely so with placing my total faith in Jesus the messiah for obtaining a godly righteousness outside of any human’s capability - God’s very own righteousness … applied to my personal account before a Holy God. The Old Testament is replete with example after example of every sing human failing to live up to the righteousness that God requires. Jesus did that perfectly without sins. Born of a virgin, he had no physical father … his true father could only be God - which is how he was able to not sin as he had no sin nature. He claimed to exist before Abraham when He said: “Abraham lived to see my day and was glad in it.” You can say all this is not true all you want … but the law teaches us that it;s impossible to keep the law. No one, you me, any Muslim, any pastor, and saint … no one kept the law to the level that God requires. Either Jesus is the only way … or else all humanity is doomed. I know the perfect plan that God had from the beginning … I recognize it … I humble myself and all of my religious effort and count it as nothing at all to be valued in comparison to the FREE GIFT that a very loving and HOLY God offers anyone who honors His Son to recognize that He is worthy to receive the same honor and worship that God receives. He is the prophet that Moses wrote about when Moses said: “God will raise up for you a prophet among you - it is to Him that you must listen … whoever does not listen to Him … I will require it of them”. Jesus had soooooo many pointers all throughout the Bible … such that when he arrived … everyone who was searching would have recognized who he was !!! The nations were supposed to be introduced to God through the people chosen by God to represent Him to the world … yet, even though they failed, God revealed Himself anyway. A people who were not his people saw and understood. Praise God ! Thank you Jesus that you took me in … a person far far far away from you … hopeless … doomed … without even knowing it … and you allowed me to see the beauty of the Gospel message. I understand how H O L Y God is … and yet He has mercy upon thousands … He truly is a wonderful God unlike any other … it’s right that He seek true worshipers to worship Him in spirit and truth. I’m one of those. Transformed, made alive spiritually … and I can not even boast about it because it is something He did … I just recognized Him , and called. Say these things are “not true” to someone who might be under spiritual blindness … my testimony is that I see God’s righteousness available through the Christ. And I understand how God remains Holy … being both Just and the Justifier of the one that believes in Jesus.

Before making any conclusion about whom the prophet Isaiah referred to in Ch 53, we shall understand under what historical background and to whom God wants Isiah to speak and why. The audiences in this video are very unlikely to know, they came to a bible lesson and ended up with only 3 bringing the bible. Isaiah 1:1 talks about when was the time of the ministry of Isaiah, 2:1 talks about who he was, and chapter 6 talks about how he was called by the Lord and what was his mission assigned. A preface of a book pretty much can tell you what the author is about to write, the preface in the Book of Isaiah is Chapter 1, if anyone has ever read this chapter knows how sinful the nation of Israel is, which Rabbi Tovia Singer admitted the nation Israel suffers because of their people's own sins, and this servant killed the prophet Isaiah eventually. Rabbi Tovia Singe suggests the servant in Ch53 are Israel, he quote such as 41:842:1, 44:1 etc to prove it. But if read carefully, what kind of servant God is talking about? 42:19-20, 43:22-28, ch44. Lastly, it's very interesting that Rabbi Tovia Singe use 43:10-12 to prove Trinity is wrong. Are these verses written by the prophet to fight against Israel's belief in Trinity? NO, the background of these verses and the context of the whole chapter and the follow chapter prove Israel is an idol worshipper and rebellion. What was the reason suddenly God restate to Israel says '...That you may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He. Before Me there was o God formed, Nor shall there be after Me. I, I, the Lord, and besides Me no saviour.(43:10-11) Because they didn't know and believe the Lord, they didn't understand that I am He, they thought other nation's gods could save them. God has to chasten His servant to let them witness who is God through His redeeming(V14). How does a sinful nation redeem other nations? How Israel a sinful nation herself can be an offering of sin (53:10), and how a nation full of iniquities bore the sin of many(53:12)? Who is the singular Seed of the servant(54:10)? If 53:1 was talking about other nations or the kings of other nations, to whom those nations report to? If they had reported why their mouths shall shut? If the holy servant is Israel in ch 53, why God urged them to depart, get out of Babylon, don't touch unclean, and be clean in 52:11? Which basically indicates they are unholy.

The Rabbi asks who is speaking in Isaiah chapter 53. His answer: Not God, not Isaiah, but "kings of the nations" according to chapter 52v15. It can't be "kings of the nations" because someone is telling us what kings of the nations will do. Who is this person? That is the person who is speaking. According to his own counsel, the Rabbi should just look at a few earlier verses. In chapter 52v13 it says "See, my servant will act wisely..." The same person speaking in verse 52v13 seems to be the same person still speaking in 52v15. My servant will act wisely (v13) and kings will shut their mouths because of him (v15) If "kings of nations" are speaking in 52vs15, then they are the ones talking about '(my servant" v13) Is Israel the servant of "kings of the nations?" The one who speaks about "my servant" in Isaiah chapter 52 is God. In Isaiah chapter 53v1 there is a new speaker, yes and it is not God. However, to say God is not speaking in chapter 53 would not be totally accurate, because it seems God has a voice in saying "My servant will make many righteous" (53v11)

Yeshua is the Meshiach. If Israel was this righteous, sinless servant who brings salvation to the nations-why does God say the afflicted Israelites are “not guiltles” and “deserving discipline and judgement” and why does God NOT save these nations who afflicted but instead “completely destroys them”? The idea of Israel being the suffering servant is not backed up by other scripture, which is a basic principle of hermeneutics. Now, Yeshua absolutely fits the criteria which is why rabbi Rashi and every other following him are so scared of this passage, and continue to make outlandish doctrines to distract Jews from their Jewish Meshiach-Yeshua: “HE COMMITTED NO SIN, NOR WAS DECEIT EVER FOUND IN HIS MOUTH. While being reviled and insulted, He did not revile or insult in return; while suffering, He made no threats [of vengeance], but kept entrusting Himself to Him who judges fairly. He personally carried our sins in His body on the cross [willingly offering Himself on it, as on an altar of sacrifice], so that we might die to sin [becoming immune from the penalty and power of sin] and live for righteousness; for by His wounds you [who believe] have been healed.” ‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭2:22-24‬ ‭

What I do not understand is why Christians have persecuted the Jewish people over the years. So this rabi didn’t come near to explain the verses in Isaiah 53 and he didn’t because he doesn’t have an explanation to what is written. 14Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. 15Butter and honey shall he eat, that he may know to refuse the evil, and choose the good. 16 Isaiah 7 6For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. 7Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. Don Broadhead I disagree with you, Isa 53 talks about someone taking the sin of people on himself a person God made him to be the sin sacrifice, now we all know that the suffering of Israel was simply because of their disobedience to God , their affliction was the consequences of their unbelief and idolatry, while the person in Isaiah 53 was sinless he was like the lamb of sacrifice blameless, while Israel was full of sin. I contact Isaiah 9:6 to Isaiah 7:14 This child name is Emmanuel , 18Now the birth of Jesus Christ happened this way. While his mother Mary was engaged to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit. 19Because Joseph, her husband to be, was a righteous man, and because he did not want to disgrace her, he intended to divorce her privately. 20When he had contemplated this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife, because the child conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21She will give birth to a son and you will name him Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins." 22This all happened so that what was spoken by the Lord through the prophet would be fulfilled: 23"Look! The virgin will conceive and bear a son, and they will call him Emmanuel," which means "God with us Matthew 1

They want Jesus to be God according to their understanding of the Torah even though God already gave Moses the laws of how Jews need to live their lives, their salvation , their dietary laws . So the question is, does this king who reigns over all the earth come gently, riding on a donkey in peace, or in great wrath, ready to do battle? Is Zechariah contradicting himself? This is a big puzzle for Jewish scholars as well. But this is not the only place in the Scriptures where we find seemingly divergent pictures of Messiah. For example, Micah 5 tells us he is born in Bethlehem, the city of David. But in Daniel 7, the prophet tells us he will arrive riding on the clouds of heaven. Is the Messiah going to be cut off (killed), as predicted in Daniel 9, or will he come in regal splendor and reign forever, as Isaiah 9 tells us? Is he the suffering servant of Isaiah 53 or a royal king portrayed in Psalm 2? In response to these two seemingly opposite pictures of Messiah, some rabbis decided that there must be two messiahs, the Messiah ben Joseph, who would come and suffer, and the Messiah ben David, who would come as a conquering king. Another Jewish tradition explains the two contrasting portraits of Messiah like this: “If the people of Israel will be righteous, the Messiah will come in the clouds of Heaven. If they will not be righteous, he will come as a poor man riding upon an ass” (Sanhedrin 98a). Are such explanations necessary or is it possible that one individual might “fit the bill” of both pictures, someone who would be both a king of peace and a king of power, a humble servant and a conqueror? If so, what would this extraordinary person look like?

Keep in mind these facts... 1. The original Christians were not called Christians when they recognized Jesus as the Messiah. They were Jews who referred to what scripture stated and who followed in the teachings of Jesus. Jesus actually was teaching everyone to be a proper Jew because all through what is stated in the Tanakh aka the Old Testament Jews were not doing as they ought to per scripture. Christians are the Jews who focused on being better Jews. It obviously made reasonable sense to the majority because from Jesus and the Apostles spread a form of Judaism which kept growing and growing and now is the largest religion in the world while the Jews who don't acknowledge Jesus as the Messiah are one of the smallest religions. The Apostles did not have an objective to start a new religion. They taught what Jesus made them aware of from scripture and how the Jews at the time were not doing as they ought to. Not that all modern day Christians are living as they ought to, but they at least are a step ahead from the corrupt and denying nature of what people who refer to themselves as Jews in the modern era do. 2. You are labeling Jewish texts as "their own texts." Ok. Jesus was a Jew. The individuals who followed him and his guidance were Jews. Prophets before Jesus warned Jews how they were not doing as they ought to. Multiple Jewish prophets gave forecast of the coming of Jesus. You are simply focusing on the individuals in the modern era who are referred to as Jews as saying the text is theirs while you don't give any consideration to Christians who stem from Jews who logically may be referred to as Jews who were more reasonable at being Jews.

At the end Rabbi Tovia Singer is demonstrating the verse Isaiah 53:8 "For the transgression of my people they were stricken". We know that "my people" here are Israel, if "they" are also Israel as Rabbi Tovia Singer is stating, this verse makes no sense. For the transgressions of Israel the people of Israel were stricken. So, at the end of the lecture Rabbi Singer is disproving the very theory he has been trying so vehemently to prove to these silent people from the Far East. We also know from the interpretations of many Christian writers that Israel is a type of the Messiah, Christ, so throughout the book of Isaiah, Israel is typifying the Messiah, but here specifically it is the person of Messiah obviously, otherwise, again this verse would make no sense.

Fishers of Evidence, the translation you provided for Isaiah 53:8 is fine, but it doesn't get us to your Jesus! "He was cut off from the land of the living" refers to the exile of the Jews (their bearing away into captivity in Assyria and later, Babylon) away from Israel (which is the "land of the living"). To support this, we can cross-reference the exact same term in Hebrew with Ezekiel 37:11: "They say that our bones are dried up and our hope is gone; "WE ARE CUT OFF." It would help you to read chapter 37 of Ezekiel, which is a prophetic vision of the Jews' exile away from Israel, but God promises to lead the Jews back home and to bring them back to life metaphorically, i.e. bring them back to the land of the living (the land of Israel, their home). Can you cross-reference "messiah" with a suffering servant? If you could, then that would support your case for Jesus being the suffering servant in Isaiah. "For the transgression of my people" means that the servant (Israel) is stricken as a result of the transgression (iniquity) of the Gentiles. It is the Gentile kings who are speaking here, owning their guilt. "Stricken" means afflicted with disease (probably due to privation as captives), which Jesus was not! There is no indication in the NT that Jesus suffered from disease.

@4TruthBeTrue

Its because you need to interpret scripture with scripture. God gave parts of prophecy to more than one prophet, its best to consider all of what has been said to understand a fuller picture. In the same sense as "by two or more witnesses is something established", I think both Jews and Christians are guilty of pulling scriptures to support their theology. Tovia quoting all of those references is a perfect example. Just seeing the parts you want to see, the parts that is relevant to you and your theory. not referring to the context surrounding those references is misleading, some of those chapters from those references you quoted refer to the restoration of Israel from Babylon captivity, but you have presented it to support your idea that Israel is the suffering servant of Isaiah 53. God is not linear, that prophetic revelation happens in sequential order of the chapters progression. In regards to isa53:8 It is translated as "He" in many Hebrew bibles, as well as strongs concordance. But the key is to read it in context to understand.

In the book of Isaiah the Lord also calls David and Isaiah himself עבדי, so you can’t just say every time a servant is mentioned we should automatically think it’s Israel. The verses quoted specifically said “Jacob” my servant, so there’s no argument. But Isaiah 53 doesn’t directly name the servant, so there’s no immediate reason to think it must be talking about Israel. If we read the full chapter and think about who the servant is that’s being described, it couldn’t possibly be Israel. Very lazy hermeneutic to simply say because it mentions “servant” and sometimes that servant is Israel (although not exclusively) that it must be Israel in chapter 53

Isaiah 52 13-15 is Isaiah writing about his servant (or what was originally mistranslated “slave”). He is writing parabolically. 17 minutes. This is not God. Doesn’t this contradict what you say about God speaking or writing or voicing passages from the Bible. Also, the servant is Jacob. Sure, and Israel. But it’s also Jacob. What does this mean? 999 of 1000 Jews I’ve met do not know Hebrew. Cast no stone and interpret with conviction the spirit of your understanding. Listen and expand what is possible. 52 14 - he will be marred. God will come in the form of a man and he will be disfigured. At first successful, then scorned, then redeemed. All in his lifetime. He will die in wealth and carry with him the kingdom of heaven once everyone sees. He will exalted. Punished by god. There is an arc here. Jesus doesn’t fill a lot of these very sincere descriptions Isaiah is declaring. To me this is a message to the future son of god on how to achieve heaven on earth if one is to be cast into hell - as certainly Jacob, Jesus, and Israelites have endured. Does it have to be one single person? I don’t interpret this. However, this person(s) will be known. So I ask, verily, are you open to such an earthly form of such a person? Would you notice? According to this prophecy you will. Isaiah is not god. This is a parable. Is it poetic or just sound moral teaching? Jesus, MLK, Jews, Armenians, men, women - is it possible God will walk amongst us, or has, or will and we won’t notice? Does that matter? No. Your will towards the suffering of all, indeed the suffering of the least of us, noticing and seeking to heal this pain... this is how a person can live in harmony with God.

IM NOT SAYING do this or that - I AM SAYING - These people can not help it - they have been indoctrinated like this since birth. are we not all sent here to teach the right path by example first? yet you mock people who have no idea what is even really going on. you are also not really helping them wake up either. the moment someone mocks someone - they are out - its really un attractive - it is also un atractive to listen and allow such slander too - its not fair - have you started a class to teach young children hebrew in another country ? like a mini hebrew school for kids? you really can not go against the world and say its because they dont know Hebrew - that is unnecessary - let me tell you God is not to be messed with - i dont belong to any religion anymore - because it is all just cults - people dont realize - that God is life. and life is God. there is actually no such thing as religion - religion is a mechanism of controle - i wish this can be placed more clear - the reason why GOD is upset - is because - people treat each other worse than animals treat their pray. they have forgotten what it is to just be human - love each other and be fair - the reason why he had to create rules was so that people can learn his way of life - because his way is wise - wiser than anyone person can teach - but as one nation they can teach each other and the world just by perfect example - let me tell you - i come and listen to some teachings now and then - and i am wondering if that was ever even a good idea...i know stuff that no rabbi has been able to teach- i have been looking to find one person who teaches what this voice comes and teaches me - and there is no one -not one. but what this voice says can be found in the tanach - it all came from this voice that comes and speaks -oh and by the way - i dont do drugs i was never a drug addict - i dont drink i am not a vomiting alcoholic either- i was only a christian...who used to go to church and cry the moment i set my feet inside - till the moment i leave - oneday i felt ashamed and refused to go anymore untill i can figure out why i am crying -i prayed that day - and God found me - i did not find him - i was brought up christian - and im so disgusted at even belonging to anything that says oh im this or oh im that - im nothing. point blank- i am nothing. i love GOD. i belong to HIM- religion can not save - but God can save. HE DOES NOT NEED TO BE PLACED INTO A BOX - I LOVE GOD - HE DOES NOT LIVE WHERE I CAN NOT REACH HIM - HE IS NOT FOUND IN PAPIRUS OR SHEEP SKIN HIDES -HE IS NOT FOUND IN THE WORDS OF BOOKS - He is found when He finds you while you are looking to understand him. let me tell you something - i want to vomit i feel ashamed for belonging to a religious sect that does not have any firm structure. i feel robbed - because no one - no person in this life ever came to me to tell me my sabbath is wrong - you know who did? GOD did - or his angels did it doesnt matter that voice spoke and said that is whats wrong that is why i am crying (your sabbath is wrong)-it does not matter who it was that spoke that day - an angel a ghost the spirit or God - the fact of the matter is - it brought me the truth - it was right my sabbath was wrong- i feel robbed .... because we as a people all over the world run after a man(jesus) who is false - and calls himself a messiah and most probably he does not even exhist because of the Flavian dynasty who integrated pagan Mithras into the equation - i feel disgusted -my life has been a lie for almost 30 years...i am disgusted because it took people so far away from God that i cry when ever i think of it... my heart is broken - because people are hungry for truth - but they dont even know where it starts - how can they search truth if they dont even know where to start - daily people are dying - people good people - who have been mislead by people who are dead! people who never really cared... i am ashamed to even be alive - because we have all gone astray with idolizing man made things - objects that are supposed to be examples of sin are grasped up and used as objects to identify themselves with - The only thing that unifies the many masses are humanity in ourselves and it starts with the wisest teaching of life - treat the people who have been wronged fairly dont oppress them - treat eachother fairly - this is written by some prophets as a message of God - the mere purpose of teaching the torah is not just the torah - its how to live with people who are different than yourselves - be fair - be good - do what the Voice above said. (He will NEVER - expect people to sacrifice their children ) he does not even like that we sacrifice animals burnt insence or anything - it nauseates him - yes he allowed it - but only because the people wanted to do it but like christmas festivals people ripped the whole dam out from underneath the ducks bum - stop complaining about things you can change for the better - and if you can not - ask someone who can - please tovias see through the hate i know it comes from a deep place - i dont blame any jew for hating christianity - i hate it too - since the Voice came to teach me - i hate christianity not because of this or that - only because of the lies - the fact that everyone promise to teach truth but they lie. God is comming and it is almost time like the angel told me - we are in the last test- and i cry about it -because im scared- im worried for everyone even jerusalem - you failed to see one thing - the corner stone - and no it is not jesus - but you failed to see the purpose behind the message and the son who has been appalled and disfigured - the one among his brothers - yes israel is the one Isaiah is speaking about metaphorically - but there was a servant who represented israel who God chose to be the one from dry ground and i cry for that suffering he went through - he is not jesus - let me tell you that - but this man im talking about - he suffered to the extent that i cry when ever i read any part of isaiah any part of psalms any part of anything i cry - because it hurts - to know that looking at the world now - we dont deserve that mercy that was given- like it states in isaiah 52 - people will be shocked - because they will see what has not been told or shown to them - and that is how that will be - i was shocked by what the the voice came to teach me - i wept bitterly - because that is how i realised jesus is false - he is written about in old testament yes - as an object of punishement to the world - a stone placed by God - to test the people like iron is tested for its purity - the more pure the stronger it is - yes God is the only savior - but everything that has happened is all part of his plan to filter the hearts of the world - the message even behind His servant who suffered so severely - was turn back to GOD- AND LET GO OF IDOL WORSHIP - and of that every religion is guilty --- even jewish - the menorah is a simbol of teaching to understand the importance of the prophets - the priests they are a light to the nations - like a lamp GOD holds in HIS hands - they helped the way - being a word of communication between the general population and God - people need to stop pushing all the simbols of examples as a way of identifying their cause or religion its not going to help them - they are objects of teaching and does not belong to a religion it belongs to God - the ephod the menorah the tabernackle the arc they are all objects of important and very strong teaching so that we do not stray on our way back to God- dont fall and become like the wolves and lions and wild animals around us. i hope you read this one day ... and i hope this helps you well - be blessed - continue doing good - dont just do good - but do better. shalom

the servant being described in isaiah 53 had to bore the sins of many and intercede for transgressors, Jacob did not do that, he did not become a sacrifice so that others may become righteous before God. The Rabbi is short of explaining that, sorry not convinced. And besides it's a chapter most jews would hide from the Torah.

Verse 21 > “But if a wicked person turns away from all the sins they have committed and keeps all my decrees and does what is just and right, that person will surely live; they will not die." Verse 27, > "But if a wicked person turns away from the wickedness they have committed and does what is just and right, they will save their life. 28 Because they consider all the offenses they have committed and turn away from them, that person will surely live; they will not die." NOW, VERSE 20,> "The one who sins is the one who will die." AGAIN!!! WHO HAS NOT DIED SINCE THOSE WORDS WERE/ARE WRITTEN IN verses 21/27 and verse 28!!?? Dear Rabbi Singer, I'm Christian (not a Nicean Christian, for me Jesus is just a human, a prophet, but not a G'd) but I'm sharing the same surname as you "Singer". I'm very proud, to share the name with a teacher so wise like you. Thank you very much for your explanation about Isaiah 53. For the people here I must say, that the problem is not Rabbi Singer or other Jews who defend their faith. The problems are the Christians - including the Messianic Jews, because every person who believes, Jesus was the Messiah => "Christos" in greek, is a Christ -, which cannot accept the Jewish Faith and are trying to convert Jews. Why can't people let the Jews live there faith??? The Jews never try to convert someone. Why Christians do? It is written, that the Jews will not accept Jesus as Messiah. This is the order of G'd. So don't try to convert! Have you not read in the chapter 6 of Johns Gospel: Jesus says: Nobody can come to Christ, if not G'd has chosen him. That means nobody can accept Christ as Messiah, if only G'd has chosen him. And have you not read Matthew chapter 7? Jesus said: Not these people, who call myself LORD, LORD will ascend to the kingdom of heavens, but those who fulfill the will of G'd. Conclusion: It is time to finally end the Christian Antijudaism and condemn it, because it was the root of antisemitism and the horrible Shoah. Live and let live, Don't do to others, what you do not want to experience yourself - this are the Law and the Prophets. Why my christian brothers and sisters can't stop breaking the law of G'd? I wish you all the best, dear Rabbi Singer! Shalom! Pierre Singer

Why did the Sanhedrin condemn Him to death ? Who is this Son of Man who rides the coulds of Heaven and is given the same worship as that to God ? Isaiah 53 isn't the only old testament prophecy of Christ. He has to remember that "Israel" became the entire body of believers, that Christ is literally the "New Jerusalem".. but he'll never see it this way.. He asked "who's speaking" well.. every word from the Bible comes from "Holy Men" written out of the "Inspiration of God" to claim Christians aren't reading Isaiah in its entirety is wrong. The writers of the New Testament were Jewish people, living in the first century, who believed that the prophecies in the Hebrew Scriptures described one Messiah, a great king who was to come twice, first as a servant, then as conqueror. They believed that Yeshua (Jesus) was the fulfillment of both expectations.

Michael Pozsgay how is the servant in Isaiah 53 about Jesus(pbuh)?
@michaelpozsgay9985
@michaelpozsgay9985 4 года назад
@@eismc2518Some of the first written interpretations or targums (ancient paraphrases on biblical texts) see this passage as referring to an individual servant, the Messiah, who would suffer. Messianic Jewish talmudist, Rachmiel Frydland, recounts those early views:3 “Our ancient commentators with one accord noted that the context clearly speaks of God’s Anointed One, the Messiah. The Aramaic translation of this chapter, ascribed to Rabbi Jonathan ben Uzziel, a disciple of Hillel who lived early in the second century c.e., begins with the simple and worthy words: ‘Behold my servant Messiah shall prosper; he shall be high, and increase, and be exceeding strong: as the house of Israel looked to him through many days, because their countenance was darkened among the peoples, and their complexion beyond the sons of men (Targum Jonathan on Isaiah 53, ad locum).'” “We find the same interpretation in the Babylonian Talmud: What is his [the Messiah’s] name? The Rabbis said: His name is “the leper scholar,” as it is written, “Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him a leper, smitten of God, and afflicted.” (Sanhedrin 98b) “Similarly, in an explanation of Ruth 2:14 in the Midrash Rabbah it states: He is speaking of the King Messiah: “Come hither” draw near to the throne “and dip thy morsel in the vinegar,” this refers to the chastisements, as it is said, “But he was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities.” “The Zohar, in its interpretation of Isaiah 53, points to the Messiah as well: There is in the Garden of Eden a palace named the Palace of the Sons of Sickness. This palace the Messiah enters, and He summons every pain and every chastisement of Israel. All of these come and rest upon Him. And had He not thus lightened them upon Himself, there had been no man able to bear Israel’s chastisements for the trangression of the law; as it is written, “Surely our sicknesses he has carried.” (Zohar II, 212a) The early sages expected a personal Messiah to fulfill the Isaiah prophecy. No alternative interpretation was applied to this passage until the Middle Ages. And then, a completely different view was presented. This view was popularized by Jewish commentator Rashi (Rabbi Shlomo Itzchaki), who lived one thousand years after Jesus.
@michaelpozsgay9985
@michaelpozsgay9985 4 года назад
Views on Isaiah 53 in the Middle Ages Rashi held the position that the servant passages of Isaiah referred to the collective fate of the nation of Israel rather than a personal Messiah. Some rabbis, such as Ibn Ezra and Kimchi, agreed. However, many other rabbinic sages during this same period and later-including Maimonides-realized the inconsistencies of Rashi’s views and would not abandon the original messianic interpretations. The objections these rabbis put forth to Rashi’s view were threefold: First, they showed the consensus of ancient opinion. Second, they pointed out that the text is grammatically in the singular tense throughout. For example, “He was despised and rejected…he was pierced for our transgressions…he was led like a lamb to the slaughter,” and so on. Third, they noted verse 8 of chapter 53. This verse presents some difficulty to those who interpret this passage as referring to Israel. It reads: By oppression and judgment, he was taken away. And who can speak of his descendants? For he was cut off from the land of the living; for the transgression of my people he was stricken. Were the Jewish people, God forbid, ever “cut off from the land of the living”? No! God promises that Israel will live forever: “Only if these decrees [the sun to shine by day, the moon and stars to shine by night, etc.] vanish from my sight,” declares the Lord, “will the descendants of Israel ever cease to be a nation before me.” (Jeremiah 31:36) Likewise, it is impossible to say that “for the transgression of my people he was stricken” since “my people” clearly means the Jewish people. If verse 8 refers to Israel, then are we to read that Israel is stricken for Israel because of Israel’s sin? How can the sin-bearer and the sinner be the same? Likewise, how can Israel be the servant, the one who “had done no violence, nor was any deceit in his mouth” (Isaiah 53:9)? Israel is not now, nor ever has been, without sin-the Scriptures are replete with examples of Israel’s disobedience. All of these inconsistencies troubled many rabbis and they expressed their opinions of Rashi’s view in no uncertain terms. Rabbi Moshe Kohen Iben Crispin of Cordova, who lived in the fourteenth century, said of the Israel as servant interpretation, it “distorts the passage from its natural meaning” and that Isaiah 53 “was given of God as a description of the Messiah, whereby, when any should claim to be the Messiah, to judge by the resemblance or non-resemblance to it whether he were the Messiah or not.”4

He reminds me of the catholic preacher called "El Cura Toro" for those people to speak Spanish and hear about "El Cura Toro" they will understand me, But This "Rabbi" use the same strategy to deceive people. He tried to change the text with another context that does not belong to the original context. He jumps from verse to verse just to justify his belief. In Isaiah, we have two servents, ISRAEL (included Jews) and the suffering servant. I am not catholic, no Protestant, and even Christian. BUT 100% sure that Jesus was the Messiah of ISAIAH.

What he says is absolutely right. Infact Jesus never existed nor fulfilled any prophesies. To mention few, read all the prophecies in Mathew, all are out of context, Isaiah 9:6 has nothing to do with Jesus nor Isaiah 7:14. Read Isaiah 2:2-5, Isaiah 11:1-10, Jeremiah 31:31-34, Jeremiah 33:14-18 ,Ezekiel 37:21-28 & Micah 4:1-5. Tell whether this has taken place, which part of these verses did Jesus fulfilled. The bible doesn't say that the messiah will come die,resurrect, the bible doesn't say that the messiah will be divine. The fetal flaw here is that the so called messianic prophetic portrait is largely a Christian fiction that among other things regularly relies on fabrication of prophesies as well as tendentious misquotations and misapplications of the passages in Hebrew scriptures.

Here's some context - Isaiah 53 echoes Isaiah 11. The royal Davidic dynasty is like a tree, cut down (Isaiah 7) but the Messiah will be the shoot from Jesse's stump. "And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:" (Isaiah 11:1) "For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him." (Isaiah 53:2) Thr Suffering Servant is, in a way, Jacob/Israel as demonstrated in Isaiah 48, 44 and 41. His bloodline led to Jesse and David. But again, the Davidic dynasty is cut down and a stem grows from the stump - Yeshua Hamaschiach (Jesus Christ) is indeed the true suffering Servant, Messiah of Israel for the whole world You cannot outweigh your bad deeds with good deeds. You cannot tip the balance. Yeshua is our atonement. He was the perfect sacrificial lamb that sufficed to take the wrath of the Father. Repent with faith in Yeshua the Son to reunite you with the Father through the Holy Spirit

Later, however, Zechariah gives another description of the coming king, a picture quite different from that of chapter 9. Let’s take a brief look at the context for his statement: For I will gather all the nations against Jerusalem to battle, and the city will be captured. Then the Lord will go forth and fight against those nations, as when He fights on a day of battle. In that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which is in front of Jerusalem on the east; and the Mount of Olives will be split in its middle from east to west by a very large valley, so that half of the mountain will move toward the north and the other half toward the south. (Zechariah 14:2-4) This picture is very much like an epic battle scene from a movie full of bloodshed and tragedy and triumph. Then, in verses 8 and 9 we read: And in that day living waters will flow out of Jerusalem, half of them toward the eastern sea and the other half toward the western sea; it will be in summer as well as in winter. And the Lord will be king over all the earth; in that day the Lord will be the only one, and His name the only one. (Zechariah 14:8-9) Chapters 9 and 14 are the central passages in Zechariah telling of this king who will reign over all the earth. In chapter 9, the king is humble, but in chapter 14, he is a force to be reckoned with. In the latter picture, the king is a conqueror; he comes in wrath, meting out judgment to the enemies of Israel. This is perhaps a more traditional picture of Messiah, a mighty hero who fights on our behalf. Mysteriously, this passage seems to suggest that this Messiah-king is none other than the Lord God himself, God coming to fight on behalf of his people. In any case, we are presented with a dramatically different picture of the king here than the one we see in Zechariah 9.

The Hebrew word in Isaiah 52:15 is not “startled” as Tovia has said here, the word is “sprinkled”. @3:07 It is used 24 times in the Old Testament and almost all of them refer to the priest “sprinkling” the blood upon the altar after the sin sacrifice. I cannot conceive or can I believe that Tovia does not know this and therefore he changed the word obviously to keep the listeners minds off of the Levitical sacrificial system which points to the spotless lamb whose blood was sprinkled on that wooden altar.

Isaiah 53:8-9 KJV: Has Israel ever been without sin? ANSWER: NO. See verse 9. In verse 8: Was Israel stricken for Israel because of Israel's sin? How can the sinner and sin-bearer be the same. It is impossible to say: "for the transgression of my people he was stricken" since the people referred to as "my people" are the nation of Israel, the Jewish (plural). I had a debate on creation and evolution at a Penn State University campus with Dr. Sherman and Ann Marie Furdock was the moderater. Dr. Sherman claimed to be an authority by virtue of being Jewish. This gentleman is virtually making the same claim. Study logic and this is known as a "red herring" or "slippery slope". I do admit this is a tough passage, thus: "Prove all things; hold fast that which is good." 1 Thessalonians 5:21 KJV. There is an abundance of information on the internet for the person to make an informed decision, "sound doctrine".

Dear Paul, it has nothing to do with being sinless. Also, did you miss the part where it's the kings of nations speaking in 53? It isn't Israel speaking there. Check out Zephania 3,12-13 and you find the same words: But I will leave within you the meek and humble. The *remnant of Israel* will trust in the name of the Lord. *They will do no wrong; they will tell no lies. A deceitful tongue will not be found in their mouths.* It's the remnant of Israel! That's what the whole chapter is about. The nations realized how they mistreated the Jews as scapegoats for their own transgressions.

On another note, it's astonishing that he excludes a certain people from sin, and claims suffering servant is due to the sins of others except... Wow!

Problem.with Christians reading O.T is that they don't study it.. they pick and choose what fits their beliefs. The whole book talks about ISRAEL as one person.. but he means all Israelis. There is nothing about Jesus in the O.T at all. He didn't fulfill one single prophecy about the expected Messiah. The hilarious second coming is just an example of how this character is completely made up.

They do not read it "Lishmah", which means "for her own sake". They use her - the Torah/Tanakh - to promote some other foreign ideology. It is like they are whoring out the daughter of the King.

I said what it means. It means "for her own sake" as in the instruction "learn Torah for her own sake, not for honor, and not for any ulterior motive".

signed out, anyone could say anything or believe anything. That doesn't make it true. Reality. That's the only judge. Crafting a story to make it emotional and logical.. that's for oscars, not real life. Unless you believe all fictional movies are true. Nothing in the O.T talks about second coming. He must fulfill ALL or he's not the messiah. Nothing in the O.T talks about death of the messiah for our sins. Forgiveness of sins is very clear in the O.T... God of the O.T got nothing to do with the trinity. The trinity is pagan concept. God of O.T is not the father of Jesus. Jesus never said God's name... not once. His mother and family, knowing how he was born, rejected him as a messiah. Paul never said a word about the virgin birth. Never. Christianity is a badly written story. Extremely weak script. And got nothing to do with Judaism. At all.

You are wrong. In Hebrew, each word is male or female. The word "Torah" is female, so the possessive is also feminine.
@ziggydeath9397
@ziggydeath9397 6 лет назад
In fact, even "mitzvah" which means "commandment" is female. G-d gave Torot (laws/instructions) and Mitzvot (commandments) to the Jewish people.

If you truly love Jesus and completely surrender to him, then you will see that Isaiah 53 is your purpose and salvation. You understand the Truth and the sacrifice of our Lord. Many men will see it the other way because they have never truly believed and surrendered. They do not know the spirit, and they live in flesh and think in the flesh . The blind man will follow the blind man and they will both fall into the pit. Isaiah 53 is the ultimate sacrifice of our Father love for us. Through his sacrifice, our Sins are forgiven and we have the opportunity to live eternal with his light. Glory to Jesus our Father, Isaiah 53 is Jesus Christ our only Hope.
@onetruth493
@onetruth493 3 года назад
This man will one day see our Lord Jesus Christ and realize how blind is was his whole life. Like others he will repent and ask our Lord for his forgiveness. God is spirit not flesh. We are spirit not flesh. Let us understand this truth and live according to his truth and his word. The only thing that stops someone from seeing the light is if he is blind. When he opens his eyes or shakes off his wine, then they will repent. Pride, ego, jeolousy, etc.. are all ingredients to be drunk from truth. The only drink that will bring Life and Truth is the blood of Jesus. The bread of life his body and through his stripes we are all healed. This is the biggest gift we can ever receive and we are so blind and foolish to not see it. Instead we go against him and treat him like a stranger. If only they knew that he was the messiah, the creator, the truth, the light, the one. Alpha and omega. The first and the last. The beginning and the end. I love you Father, and I pray for those who cant see you. They have no idea what the purpose is and they refuse to find it. All Glory goes to you my Father, the only Truth there ever was.

Khamzat Israilov in my spirit. But you can only see him if you find him. . That is , if you want to find him. You live in the flesh but God is in Spirit. When you die you cant take ur body with you. The only thing you take is your guilt, your sins and fear of the unknown. Jesus came on this earth to wipe that away so you can die knowing that your spirit is in the hands of the person who sacrificed everything for u. The Son of the Creator and the Light of the world. If you seek truth, you will never find it . The only real truth and purpose is knowing Jesus and learning from his words. He doesn’t prepare us for enjoyment of this life , he prepares our spirits for next life which is the rebirth of true life and eternity. God created the Heavens and Earth. His love for us and this planet is displayed everywhere. Just imagine how it might be in his kingdom. You have no idea what ur going to miss out on. Its not heaven im talking about. Im talking about missing out on his love and trust. Rather than denying him, give him a chance and let him show you his grace. I hope you find him brother.

that could be read a few different ways in my opinion. 5 And now, the Lord, *(the Lord)* Who formed me from the womb as a servant to Him, *(the Lord)* said to bring Jacob back to Him, and Israel shall be gathered to Him, and I *(the servant)* will be honored in the eyes of the Lord, and my God was my strength. 6 And He said, "It is too light for you to be My servant, *(it is too light)* to establish the tribes of Jacob and to bring back the besieged of Israel, but I will make you *(the servant, Israel)* a light of nations, so that My salvation shall be until the end of the earth." Although its definitely more natural to read it as if it was talking to someone else, other than Israel, but its not necessarily contradicting

The rabbi interpretation of Isaiah 53 is proven a LIE! Isaiah 53 is already fulfilled! Isaiah 53 is 100% about Jesus (Messiah)! and the rabbi interpretation is a false prophecy! I capitalized the IMPORTANT PARTS ? Isaiah 52:15 is a false prophecy if interpreted like the rabbis! ! 52,15 so he will sprinkle many nations,[4] and kings will shut their mouths because of him. For what ⚠️⚠️⚠️they were NOT TOLD, they will see, and what they have NOT HEARD⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️, they will understand. So why do the nations shut up their mouths? According to the rabbi interpretation? Oh yes, because they see what is said in Isaiah 53! Can anybody explain to us why the nations already know;)?? Although the nations only gain knowledge when Isaiah 52.15 occurs = the statements in Isaiah 53 must be fulfilled except for the last verse = Isaiah 53 is already fulfilled except for the last verse +the Jews don't believe yet! As Isaiah 53: 1 says!

How can the Gentiles speak about the Israelites in Isaiah 53? When Isaiah 52:15 confirmed the Gentiles have not heard any preaching! But Isaiah 53: 1 says we didn't believe the message To that is added in Isaiah 52:15! Now what is it, for example: the Christians have never heard? We know your point of view, we know your laws and their history and what you are waiting for. Just like the Muslims who all live around Israel. Because everything has already been revealed! The prophecy has already come true! In addition, it is evident from this statement that it could never occur as you interpret it today! Not even in Isaiah's time! Because these peoples also knew that you were waiting for your Messiah who would make you great! You weren't mocked for it!
