There is another use of half-moon symbolisim. The corrupted Isabella character uses a scythe. According to many iterations of Greek mythology, Kronos's scythe blade became the moon after his battle with Zeus. The story does have some holes though. Why is the entity so interested in Isabella, yet in chapter 1, is shown to have a close connection to her father? What makes Isabella so special?
Could be because she was broken by her brothers death leaving her vulnerable to its influence. Once she was in Jeff's care after being further traumatized by her father's killing spree; the demon could take its hold but something was standing in its way; Jeff's family. So he had to remove them to take control
Maybe the entity is interested in both of them? Long comment under the "Read More". I'm (hesitantly) thinking that it might have found Isabella first, taking interest in her and causing her brother's death to make her more susceptible to its influence. Through Isabella, however, it found her father. Seeing how angry and easily corruptible he was after his son's death, it decided to take him as a puppet as well. It used Thomas to do its bidding, then threw him away in the form of killing and turning him into Andy once it was bored with him. He remained interested in Isabella for some reason- maybe because it found her first? Idk. Sorry for the long comment, I just wanted to put my theory out into the world.
Two theories. Theory 1 : At the end we jeff failed to save Isabella and when Isabella got consumed by the entity, her game avatar eyes appear but didn't have the Melody eyebrows in which I believe Isabella isn't Melody. Theory 2: The player must be Isabella as a beta tester becuz the AAF characters are giving them clues to save them and the entity cant hurt her.
The only issue with the Baylee theory is that its already hinted that she might be possessed by Isabella's friend "Sam" from teasers from the developer
Maybe Sam is a nickname for Summer? It's pretty similar. It'd also make sense if Isabella's branching family was in chapter 2, since Jeffrey is already there
@@drawnwithlove3499 when in history has sam been used as a nickname for summer? theyre two different names. also its known that sam is isabellas girlfriend so that would be weird if that was the case
When Jeff gets transported into AAF, you can see Baylee the bee notice him entering as another character through her pupils getting smaller, then looking over at the flower humanoid formerly known as Jeff. Edit: I am so sorry, I thought Baylee was spelt as Bailey for the bee’s name.
Btw I think Jeff looks like a flower because apple are flowers on trees before they become apple, possibly saying Jeff is younger then his brother. Idk if it will means anything but something to point out
the 8-bit style gives off a nostalgic vibe while also making it super scary. This can mess with our minds as we associate 8-bit to childhood so having this be scary can make us scared. super cool!
Imma just say it. The fact that the place where the family lives is called “PUMPKIN County” and that the demon chose to represent itself as Peter the PUMPKIN makes me think that the demon has some kind of history in Pumpkin county
For me, Pumpkin County is actually made by the entity, so probably that's why the entity is killing people and also put someone's family members when they make a game, the entity is not the only entity, there's probably a lot of entities will hunt people, but I dont really know its true, probably the entity is lure family's, including the Eastwood family, but isabella survived from the entity, (sort of) the entity got controlled isabella when her father is working on apple acres (now andy's apple farm) up until Jeffrey Eastwood made rabbit Knight in 1986 that successfully trap the entity with their programming skills, but it failed afterwards because the entity got so much powerful that they untrapped themselves and killed Jeffery in the process.
my theory makes no sense because isabella is possessed after thomas died in 1983 or before 1983 and because of that she's now part of Jeffrey's family until he died in 1986 after he released his game.
When the sprite glitches out it’s not Andy that appears it’s Peter you can tell because 1 it’s orange 2 Andy is more square without those little dents a pumpkin would have 3 if you look and the Andy sprite from the game that green part isn’t pointy and is more going to the right
I have a theory The entity is using Isabella to capture people, or at least using her as help or bait, right? Now here's where my own theory comes in: I think Melody will become Isabella. I think that once the entity is finished with all the captures that it will trap Isabella last.
What I think melody and Isabelle connection could be is that after the rabbit knight ending, the entity pretty much did a body swap and ripped Isabelle soul out of her body and claimed it as it’s own. And then as a twisted family reunion placed her soul in melody so he can have the complete Eastwood family to torture for all eternity
In one of the videos of the creator’s channel (which is about Melody’s design), Isabella’s character appear twice (one times where she is on the boat and a second time with her face distorted.) we can also see message like “she watched her mom burned” or “she saw what you did Thomas”. So it is heavily implied that Isabella is indeed Melody (she may be the last character to appear is the game) Anyway, really nice video as always!
I believe Melody is both AI and Isabella. When the entity possesses Isabella's body. Her counciousness is trasferred to melody and when she is in control Melody is working on autopilot.
I have a theory that isabella is playing the games her father and uncle made to find out anything about her father going crazy and she might have been obsessed with astrology so the entity was teasing Isabella with moons and she was constantly trying to find clues about her family deaths and how she is still alive
When you get caught by Peter the pumpkin in the chase run, you see the hex codes translating to "JEFF YOU DID THIS TO YOURSELF. YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE TRIED TO INTERFERE. YOU TOOK HER IN THUS YOU TOOK ME IN. SHE SHOULD NOT BE TRUSTED JUST LIKE HER FATHER." Hope it helps :'3
@@pink_sky_morning4842 I think she has control of herself tho (Maybe not completely, but the demon lets her control herself)..? Dunno tho, sorta like just owning something
@@pink_sky_morning4842 But Interestingly, what did Isabella did to have that demon follow her? If I remember right, It started when her brother died to until the family got killed/controlled by this demon
@@rosetea8355 Could it be that the demon is related to the family albeit in a ghostly form and most likely dead, and is taking revenge for indirectly causing her brother’s death? The entity and Isabella were the only witnesses to Louie’s death Just realised, it was the entity that caused Isabelle to hold back. I wonder if anyone in her family did something to intentionally cause Louie’s death with the summoning of an entity to hold Isabelle back. Now that I think about it, is the entity it’s own creature or does it serve someone else?
@@pink_sky_morning4842 Possible but dont think so :'3 Altho what if Isabella sold her soul to the entity but later regretted it? or did some kind of ritual/dark magic somethin somethin, resulting to this? (It may sound ridiculous tho)
Not sure if anyone had said this but just a small theory: What if Isabella is indeed in the game and also alive? Maybe in the real world her and the entity share a body and while it takes over, she is trapped in the game so she can't try to fight it. Just something I thought of that seems interesting.
I would've preferred that Jeffrey would still be a rabbit-like character when put into the game world of Andy's Apple Farm. But the story is really seeming fun i cant wait the next update.
Info from me: It’s possible that the bee like character in the Christmas special is Jeff’s wife because of a “glitch”. Melody might be Summer. Edit: It was during the second maze run with the pumpkin. It shows all the characters for the up coming Andy’s Apple Ch. 2. Interact with these characters to see who was under the influence of the entity.
Hey mike I was wondering if you heard of the news of not just the RE Village dlc: shadow of rose but also the announcement of Mr Hoppes chapter 3. Hope you cover them and what the story is about them
I wanna know why the hell it's after Isabelle anyway. The reason is probably a messed up one but the fact that it's killing everyone except for her makes me concerned about why it wants her and only her. Villians normally have a motive behind their actions even if they say they don't have one but this creature obviously does. Maybe Chapter 2 will explain it and maybe it'll leave us on a cliffhanger like last time.
I hope that in chapter 2 or a future chapter makes the Andy's Apple Farm game tells Isabella that her family is trapped in the game and needs to free them and her from the entity. She needs to know that all of this is not her fault.
My theory is that Melody Moon is the entity's in-game representation of Isabella in the same way that Peter Pumpkin is the entity's in-game representation of itself. Perhaps as a place to store Isabella's soul once the entity's done with it. Or it's also possible that Isabella has some kind of subconscious control of the entity in the same way the entity has control of Isabella's subconscious. Melody might be her way of retaining her innocence and disassociating from the horrible traumas she experienced.
I was so excited when I got the notification that you did the story explained!!! Thank you for always making amazing videos that are always interesting!! I'm finishing up on your playthrough of The Quarry and I think you're doing great! Have an wonderful day!!!
I wonder if the entity may have been a child whose life was ruined after a Christmas in its life and the family could have been the ones related to ruining its life so it chose to take revenge and force them to play its sick game for the rest of eternity
But why Thomas, Jeff, and Isabella in particular? Could it be that Thomas and Jeff may have been responsible for its demise, and Isabella being its slave is its way of taking a trophy off its victory?
1:12 Wait... The place is Pumpkin County? And the demon is represented by a pumpkin? Don't you find that odd? Could it be that Peter the Pumpkin is a demon that have been hiding and eventually taking people's soul of the territory? Kind of like Pennywise?
Yeah I was also thinking that! Possibly an ancient demon that haunted the area but soon dissolved into a myth, then Thomas heard about it and it was awakened again by him. Something like that.
@@drawnwithlove3499 A book was present on the ground during that cutscene where Thomas confronted The Entity, so perhaps you’re not too far off with this theory. Also, I might use this as part of The Entity’s backstory in an AU I’m writing.
You know I have a theory I actually shared some months ago with the release of the Christmas DLC that we the player are actually Isabella playing the game and learning what it was that caused that deaths of those she was close with.
my theory for this is that in rabbit knight the mushroom taking over represent the entity/demon and isabella mainly beacuse of the line in the lore that says ( they took over the land infecting everyone they touched) i also think that the other rabbit knights were the family members who have died so Isabella mom brother and dad and now her uncle jeff. so my working theory is that the entity is part of Isabella slowly trying to take over the world
Adding onto the Melody is Isabella thing, in the Halloween special when Andy and Melody are looking for Margret and Clause, Melody says "Mom-I mean Margret?" showing that in real life Margret and Melody are mother and daughter/Melody was the daughter of Margret
The number death screen after Peter the Pumpkin chases the player is a cipher, when decoded it says this: “Jeff, you did this to yourself. You should not have tried to interfere. You took her in thus, you took me in. She should not be trusted just like her father.”
I am a little confused with the news report involving the house fire. They displayed both Kamryn and Arthur. But we all know Kamryn was the only person found in the house fire right? I thought it was shown that Arthur was dragged away by Thomas who sacrificed Arthur's soul to The Entity due to guilt of him hacking up his friend (stupid idea). My whole point is, how can the news station show a photo of both Kamryn and Arthur, when Arthur was chased down into the woods, murdered with an axe, and dragged away to have his soul placed into the Andy's Apple Farm game? That part confused me.
@@xavierjuno4572 Yeah maybe. But I know there was a scene showing Thomas dragging Arthur's body away from the woods at least. I'm probably over-thinking it.
Gotta love the devs for making something like this. You can tell the put a lot of work into making the storyline, hidden easter eggs, and gameplay. It's very complicated, and it's always fun watching youtubers like Mike solve the mysteries it provides :)
Most of these retro-horror themed titles serve more as interesting Lore dumps and their 'scares' where everything glitches is usually predictable and trying way too hard to be scary. But Andy's Apple Farm's 'glitches' legitimately frightened me to the point where I'd take my headphones off. This one does it well too but not as frequently and it's not as sinister since we have such a strong grasp of the story by now.
An idea to maybe think about, with everything that has happen to Isabella maybe she had then lost some of her self bit by bit. Therefore saying Isabella had possibly lost half of herself to the entity. Half (relating to how melody is a half moon). While the entity keeps her alive to possibly seek other victims for them to take, also maybe the more and more this happens to Isabella the more and more she loses herself to the entity. This is my theory on how Isabella is melody.
I feel like making the villain an entity/demon kind of feels not as interesting as if it were a human villain. NeedleMouse was so good because the villain was a human woman who's vengeance was so strong that it broke through the barriers of life and death so that she could get revenge on those who wronged her. Or at least it WAS like that, until the recent episode introduced a entity that might debunk that idea of human wrath.
So I think Jeff played he's own game to trap the entity and like you said he was gonna delete it but it was to late because I saw a hallway next to the TV and we saw a scene where we saw the entity in the hallway when Isabella went down the stairs she saw Jeff on the floor died but that's what I think
great video mr mike ! but just wanted to share something (if you didn't know about it already). there's another secret character named "sam" and she seems to be a friend of isabella's. i believe she was shown in logan eastwood's channel through code, but i think it was by something else. :)
I wish there's some way to destroy the demon for good and "save" her from it. I don't know, destroy the old computer and its game, perhaps. No, I think it would free the demon and destroying everything.
I think that Susan is Baylee, because as far as sprites go, Baylee wasn't too weary around the sunflower character. I also think that Melody is Summer. Who else would Summer be? And Isabella has witnessed (at least) 2 people she loved be murdered. MAYBE the entity uses Isabella's sorrow against her and makes it her own prison and Isabella IS still alive? I know that this is probably b a stretch; feel free to contradict this with your own idea.
You're now in my world Jeff is horrifying to me 😰 all the characters are made up of humans with they're own mind with no escape trapped in a world Edit: but... atleast the brothers got reunited 🥺
Idea, the reason isabella is both alive in the real world and in the game is because the entity ripped her soul out at some point. it then put the soul in the game but kept the body as a vessel with which to claim more victims.
you keep saying Andy as being part of the mass at 0:59 but I think it's the entity Andy isn't mentioned at any point in the game so it wouldn't make sense for him to randomly appear
maybe melody does represent Isabella, like it’s an **intended spot** for her. She apparently hasn’t died yet, so maybe the entity has been slowly torturing her. I think Jeff putting it in the game was probably a roadblock, so maybe Peter hasn’t got Isabella yet.
I think Melody could be Isabella but after her soul has been taken. Like the entity tried to control her but part of her soul took refuge in the game in order to not be destroyed completely
The hexadecimal text at 9:17 translates to "JEFF, YOU DID THIS TO YOURSELF. YOU SHOULD NOT HAVE TRIED TO INTERFERE. YOU TOOK HER IN, THUS YOU TOOK ME IN. SHE SHOULD NOT BE TRUSTED, JUST LIKE HER FATHER.
Just a theory here and hopefully it gets noticed and mentioned! But i am wondering that if the entity wants the daughter so bad is because she has some sort of darkness i don’t know just maybe she killed her little brother covering and hiding it, while the parents don’t know and assume everything is alright a dark force through the game is taken the family one by one trying to get to its main goal the girl so the entity could take human form
Ik this is old but I just wanted to say we have actually gotten some evidence that Melody is Isabella, M36games posted a Halloween VHS style episode about the characters going into a haunted manor, I'm not gonna go too deep into what happens in the episode but the characters get separated and eventually Andy and Melody have to look for Margaret and Claus, while calling out to them Melody says "mom? I mean.. Margaret?" So yeah.
The fact the Eastwoods lived in a place litteraly called *Pumpkin County* makes me think the entity is a much older and darker monster than anyone is giving it any thought for
I have a theory on the Melody/Isabella connection. Maybe, for some reason, the entity can't get to Isabella, maybe she has a charm or something protecting her, who knows. But Melody is a placeholder character. The entity created Melody, intending that character to be Isabella, but it realized it couldn't get kill her. So, to either trick Thomas into thinking it has his whole family trapped in the game or to have a character created to let Thomas know that it is still after his daughter, the entity created Melody. So that when Isabella finally dies, it has somewhere to put her soul. Another theory I had, if Andy's Apple Farm 2 represents the entity's hole over all of the Eastwood families (Thomas and Jeffery) and Thomas's friends. It's taunting Thomas with it, since we see the old characters (Claus, Melody, Margret, and Felix) and new ones (Bailey the Bee and Sammy the Sunflower). So maybe Bailey is either Summer or Susan and there's another character we haven't seen yet that represents the soul not in Bailey, since we know from this game that Sammy is Jeff. And it may also show that, if Isabella has been taken by the entity, how it got to her. The second game may also show us how to finally free their souls from the game and stop the entity at last.
What if the demon is attached to the family, like a curse? Meaning Isabella is needed to survive, however, is the last of her line? Or not, it's like.....2:39 A.M., I can't get to sleep, so my mind is going to odd, odd places.
Here me out what if the entity is Isabella's brother? Hear me out what if the experiment worked the first time created the brother to be this evil entity because of he's anger towards Isabella for not helping him, but when the uncle tries the experiment he finds out who the entity is and because of his love for his family he can't get rid of the enity in which causes him to fail?
A part of me thinks that Sam isn’t Baylee because of the cutscene where Jeff enters the game. You can see Baylee in the game, when the characters only seem to appear when they die (hence the cutscene). Isabella reacted to Jeff’s body as if she hasn’t seen anyone else die since the fire, and Sam appears to enter the game as a response to Isabella dying. but I could very well be wrong on this theory. Also, summer may play a role as another character we haven’t seen yet.
If you look closely after clipping out of bounds u can see a stem with orange around which represents Peter the pumpkin aka the entity. I think he is trying to corrupt the main character but is interrupted by Andy.
I wonder if Melody is Isabella when she is being controlled by Peter. Like, when Peter takes over, Isabella becomes Melody as means as a placeholder for her soul. With the eventual goal of Peter being Isabella full time, and Isabella trapped byt not dead inside Melody
this is just a gust, but it would appeared that the Entity has a interest only on Isabella, so it first it forces Isabella's fear to take over her, so it can kill her brother, then makes Kamryn stay and get burned alive in the fire, and lastly, under control, makes Thomas kills Arthur, while Isabella watches. it would seems that the Entity manipulated Thomas into doing his bidding so that it can get closer to Isabella, and after killing her uncle, Aunt and Cousin, the Entity for all we know could make its final step. Possessing Isabella.
Could the games have evolved into living entities following their creation? Love all your continued awesome content shb you’ve been working your butt off for a while now and it’s really really appreciated :) please look after yourself too
