The thing that really pisses me off about this video is... WHY NOT SHOW THE RACOON GOING OVER THE TOP? WHY STOP RIGHT BEFORE HE DOES? IT IS MADDENING! Whoever edits these, stop doing that. The pay off is seeing him actually make it onto the roof, not seeing the camera continuously cutting from him right before he does.
They are literally fearless . I would know . I'm currently fostering a baby female coon and she already climbs to the top of the 3 1/s story tree in my yard at only 3 months old

Oh jeez, just pictured one of the neighborhood racoons climbing that building - Racoonzilla now playing in my mind. ¹ Of course I'm exaggerating - shouldn't even need to say that but on RU-vid if I don't some idiot will be sure to point it out. They're still really big though!

Raccoons can be your worst roommates if you're not careful. Each time we go camping here Minnesota, we have to be well prepared. They're cute and smart but can be very noisy. A little rascal panda!
Well, I think everyone was worried about the raccoon. We wanted her to be safe as soon as possible. Also, I doubt a raccoon has ever done a climb like that before. Thank goodness the window ledges were big enough for her to rest on.

It’s sad reading the comments on here, people have managed to turn the comments section into a half-ass one-liner political debate about border walls, fake news, and Trump. The maturity level of these comments says more about the commenters than any CNN or Fox News broadcast ever could. Grow up people, this is a story about a raccoon! Debate with decency.
Fortunately she was released before Trump could invite her to the White House. She's fortunate, if her ordeal had happened in Texas, that office building would've lost a lot of windows and she would've would up as target practice.
I hope they don't euthanize the cute little raccoon at the Animal Control building. Please protect the little raccoon and keep him safe so he can go back into the wild soon.

I'm pretty sure we almost ran over that raccoon because we were driving through Shakopee (a suburb of the twin cities where it was released) and almost ran over a raccoon the day it was released. It might have been a coincidence, but we harmed no raccoons.
Do have to wonder about the news diveting attention sometimes. 'Animal climbs building' is not a news story. It's not even a gossip column. It's youtube cat video level.
I was scared for the raccoon, but then I was reminded of how trees can grow as tall 30 to 50 stories. Imagine all the animals who would be willing to climb those types of trees without a hesitation in the world.
Raccoons climb up to high spaces, in trees to sleep during the day. So since there are no big tall trees, he probably didn't know what to do, so he started climbing the building, to find a nice high safe place for his slumber.
I wonder what originally made him want to climb up the building? What was he thinking? Is it possible he had the early stages of rabies? I mean, this is not normal racoon behavior?
