Hi Darren. For future comp video, can you show how they set the course? Is it AAT or Race triangle or XC? How large and shape are the turn points? Start point and any other rules they set for the competition. A screen image of the course. What's your strategy beforehand and during? I'm trying to understand how these competitions work. Thanks. Yes of course Greg. I usually put a screenshot of the course if it's on the computer or a picture of the map and a talk through it. It depends on the format of the competition and what software they use. Some is easier for me to work with than others. This particular comp was only small legs and I didn't bother doing all the waypoint stuff, but if you look at some of my videos from bigger comps you will see that I try to show my actual progress around the course and where the waypoints are.
It doesn't really matter. I personally don't like RU-vid Shorts. I think regular video like this one is always better, no matter the length of the video.
@@MooSurfer, 😂. Question for you, Darren. Why were you constantly losing altitude when other pilots around you were seemingly riding effective thermals? That's puzzling to me.
I have a 360 cam. The only issues are: 1. Editing is a nightmare, 2. Sound quality is very poor so it needs linking with the go-pro. Even more work. The newer 360 cams allow to plug in a decent microphone so that would work, but I don't have the spare cash for one.
