I am getting inspired. I've had my current E30 325i for about 20 years. I had considered putting a Honda K24 in it and running it as a track day fun car. Now that E30s are getting expensive I'm thinking of keeping it a nice street car with a high power version of the M20, as that way it can keep more of it's value and I can leave it to my son. I'm thinking M20 work will cost more, but also be better on the street. No matter-I love seeing what can be done with an M20.
Can't wait too hear this beast roar to redline, would really appreciate a nice onboard video with tacho and stuff, i would really like to throw a 6 cylinder lump on my e30 but things are not so easy with engine swaps where live. Greetings from Greece.
What head gasket will you be running? Had a Cometic MLS for our M20 2.9L stroker but struggling with sealing even with a block and head that’s flat and smoothly machined.
im running a standard composite head gasket, MLS whilst good at sealing compression often weep unless you have exactly the right surface finsih, and require blue hylomar or wellseal
