2016 BMW 428i F36 turbocharged 4-cylinder 2.0L
- 300+ hp RWD
- RaceChip GTS Black
- VRSF catless downpipe
- Muffler delete
- Resonator delete
The power difference is noticeable even when comparing the 1st map to the 7th map. With the product installed, this BMW 428i was able to gap a BMW 430i, which has more hp stock, showing that the tune actually works. This race occurred before the installation of the VRSF Catless Downpipe.
No association with RaceChip. Our own money was spent to test out the performance of this product. All photos used are screen shots from the RaceChip website

I put the GTS on 2 liter volvo turbo, what a kick in the pants! I got almost 67 hp and 103 ft lbs of torque on 93 octane. Love this product!

I think the best thing to understand the difference (if there is any) is to try next time with a vbox or whatever can measure time and speed . Then will be very clearly by the results if is doing something or not.

Would like to see a 0-100km time without out the racechip and one with the racechip, that will tell you if there is an actual improvement.

What is your 100-200 times? In my case (BMW 320d F31): stock: 28s, RaceChip S: 22s, RaceChip GTS: 20s

We don't but is pretty simple. It should be 3 different plugs that connect to the three racechip plugs.

I have the engine light on. Once it installed, does it take time to run the chip? Should I try number 1 first, then 2 until may be 5 for normal daily driving?

You have to start in setting #1 first, then shift it up through the race chip numbers as the car shifts gears.

You not gonna feel it this way so much , these tuning boxes give more mid range power from second third gear , you’ll feel the pull much more from 50 or 70 specially highway

It does give more power in the higher rpms. But in quick 4 cylinders like this you can feel it instantly.

@@Delrondaeshorts As far as I know they should be universal, they sell the same exact computer box for every car. The difference is the software which racechip will fix up for you

Once you take the chip off it will leave no marks on the ecu

@@planespeaking nothing gets 'knackered', if you really HAVE to take your car in for repairs, you can remove everything easily and they will never know anything was changed in the car
