I have always been in love with my RaceRoom, since the beginning and in all these years of painful descent into empty lobbies, I hope that this gem will find many more new sim racers!...good luck RR
I'm not convinced its that big a difference. The new one seems artificially dark, if the new had the same brightness as the old we might be on to something though, road an environment that is. I notice the old is darker on the car when viewing from track side cameras, but chase cam is lighter on the environment but dark on the car. The new one has a lighter car but darker environment.
exactly looks like a dark shader. looks cartoonish.it is better the way it is now. They better give us the chance to keep the old view.this is just a bad shader.too dark.
im so glad you posted this - it just looks like someone turned the brightness down. thought i was going crazy as everyone is raving about the difference
It's a shame it isn't out today. A lot of people in the U.S. have a three day weekend this weekend. Laborday Holiday. It would be perfect for getting some time in on the new features. But, I know that a general rule for game updates is to not release on the weekend because if there is a game breaking bug, then the programmers have to work the weekend to fix it or the game is down for the weekend.
It's more than that. I used reshade previously but since we started testing the updated graphics it's no longer needed. There are many many subtle differences that when added up make a much more pleasing look. I can't even play the live game anymore as it looks so bad in comparison.
Still DirectX 9 Engine. Time for switch to DX12. The different between OLD and NEW is faked by small filter changes. They simply added more contrast and less gamma.
Am I crazy for liking the old one better? It’s more photorealistic, look at the taillights, they’re not that bright in direct sunlight. The asphalt also doesn’t “shine” as much - as it does in real life. The sky is detailed, but it’s just a different sky, both are very realistic, but I do appreciate the skybox reflecting in the new graphics. The warmer and more ambient lighting also contributes, but overall, judging by this video only, this is a downgrade
awesome :D you guys , IMHO, have much better game than iR and I just hope there will be more ranked official casual racing like dtm, mx5 and others :) I literarily bought whole thing ans have some extra cred for dtm 95' :D
To be honest, The car looks better but I really used to enjoy the old glare effects, the less saturated tones and the tarmac shader. Like now looks like trying to copy Competizione.
🇮🇹Speriamo che non fate come gli altri giochi che per avere una bella grafica ci fate spendere i milioni per scheda video e PC Raceroom e già perfetto come é Mancavano i contenuti belli ma li state per far uscire quindi ok non rovinatelo siete il simulatore piu bello che c'è 🇬🇧Let's hope you don't do like other games that make us spend millions on a video card and PC to have nice graphics Raceroom is already perfect as it is Good content was missing but you're about to release it so ok Don't ruin it, you're the best simulator there is
Estos efectos los tengo hace tiempo.... con el programa de Nvidia G Force ... tiene filtros que gacen esto mismo, vierto es que bajan los FPS.... pero se ve exactamente igual.... en fin... parece un timo
Looks great, BUT: According to my RaceRoom account (via Steam) I'm all up to date, when it comes to updates, and it doesn't look any different than it always did. Am I missing something? If so: please tell me what, cause I'd like to experience all this great stuff too! Thanks in advance.
@@ChrisLDGK thanks, guys. Hope it ain't gonna be a massive multi gig update, though, since an ACC update already failed due to lack of free space on my pc... (I'm an utter nitwit when it comes to all that. Looks like I've got no choice but to research ''expanding RAM'' shit, or whatever I'm going to have to invest in to keep up) Looks awesome, though! Btw (since we're talking anyway): My Moza R5 gear flippers on the wheel are starting to fail on me, lately, leaving me unable to change gears, just long enough to ruin the race I'm in... (and my rating, for that matter) Any one of you; does that ring bell? slash: Any ideas on an easy fix?
Veo mejor los reflejos. Definitivamente el cielo/nubes se ve mejor. Noto que el framerate se ve más fluido. Si en realidad le han optimizado, pues que mejor.
No difference to shout to the miracle as you had us believe, slightly different reflections and that's it. Same terrible visual experience at the gates of 2025 and among other things you don't know how VR will be affected. Some people may like these changes, others may not but maybe you could have been more honest instead of creating all this expectation, fundamental for nothing. We expected everything.. a new dx11 graphics engine, rain, the day/night cycle, foliage that follows the seasons, a new user interface, a single player campaign, animations in the pits, a multiplayer with more player, real cockpits... Is this your biggest update to raceroom since years? Disappointed, what can I add? ...... And you keep making videos to demonstrate the GRAPHIC differences. 😑
There is almost zero dev budget for this game. They have to make impression of some development for people to be able to sell the DLCs. It was the same with the last year "FFB rework".
@@alexcouri_arquiteto That is one of the few gripes I have with it. I play pretty much single player so being online is useless. I think they make it work online only as a copyright tool. But, if there servers go down or the internet is out then it's not available. And my single player stats don't show up on my game profile online when a few years ago they did.
@@jorn-jorenjorenson5028 Yea, I always got just extreme low res blocky graphics with advice to «hide» tracking lighthouses from the hmd to make it work. Never bothered to follow that ritual. AC, AMS2 and Rfactor2 all work well with OpenXR Composite. RRRE doesnt.
