In the original movie, the reason why she was cleaning the house is because she thought the owner of the house are 7 little children. Because she was kind, she cleaned the house for them, also to repay them for staying there. Her kindness is one of the reason why they love her so i don't get why they changed that

Like I just don’t understand why or how being kind and doing a random act of kindness is now “not feminist” or “makes women look weak” or “doesn’t make her a leader” or “she’s too reliant on a man.” Like- if anything Snow White had the BIGGEST mother instinct and that on its own is one of the most empowering types of leader in GENERAL! She taught her animal friends how to clean, taught the dwarves the importance of washing and staying clean, the importance of kindness, love, and humility, but most importantly, she teaches us the biggest moral which is beauty doesn’t start on the outside it starts from the inside. The most beautiful thing about Snow White is no matter how much danger she was in she still chose to keep her pure heart. The evil queen just got more evil which in result made her appearance ugly (hence her potion to make herself ugly) and she ended up dying ugly and in an ugly way too. Snow White remained alive and kept her beauty. There are so many other Disney princesses that represent a more “female dominated” character such as Mulan, Merida, Belle, Moana, Elsa and Anna, etc.. idk why they felt there wasn’t enough! And why did they need to change the classics??? Why couldn’t they chose to show a variety of different women?? Some that are more dominated and some that are less dominated? I just don’t get it! Like it’s “women can do anything” except they’re not allowed to dream about true love or wanna be mothers, take care of the kids and house, they HAVE TO BE LEADERS! Plus I think that Snow White showed the world the IMPORTANCE of traditional feminine traits/obligations. The dwarves were living in such poor quality of life. They weren’t healthy because of how filthy their house was, they weren’t well fed, they were getting old and tired and therefore couldn’t keep their house clean or cook their own meals. They were working all day long. I’m sure even some of them were developing illnesses such as Dock probably had Alzheimer’s, Sleepy probably had dementia, Grumpy likely had depression, and Sneezy likely had allergies. So Snow White being there to take really good care of them BALANCED EVERYTHING OUT! If anything I feel like the movie made men realize how much they should APPRECIATE women such as their wives and mothers because of how much they do for us! Women are the whole reason why men keep their jobs and live such a happy and healthy life! Like an example I hear a lot that makes people state why men are higher than women are that there are more male doctors and female nurses and doctors are higher than nurses. Well guess what? A doctor usually just diagnoses a patient at least 85% of the time without treating them and refers them to a specialist. But nurses are 100% of the time treating patients and actually treat what’s wrong. This exactly what Snow White does. She may not be making the money and paying for the rent or food but she’s the one who turns the house into a home and cooks the food into hot meals. Snow White is literally perfect yet so humble. Disgusting what this movie turned it into.

You are just assuming that's the context of what happened and then get angry. Just like they changed this scene, why would you think everything else will be the same. Maybe in context this will make more sense?

She actually cleans up the house with the forest critters (super cute!) and makes supper before she meets the dwarfs in the hope it will pardon her intrusion and they'll let her stay. It's a sweet gesture. I suppose in this version she will intrude into their home and order them to clean for her lol. This destroys Snow White's character entirely considering she's the fairest of all. She's written more like the evil queen 😂😂😂

Try to remember that the promotional team and the production team are two separate entities and don't always reflect one another. Also, Rachel Zegler, despite being an insufferable face-punchable gen z-er in interviews, is actually very good at her job, which is acting and singing. Is this movie likely to shit on the original's themes/content? Yeah, probably. But if all of the music is consistently this good, it could still absolutely turn out to be an enjoyable flick.
This isn’t a new song. If it was I would agree with you. But they didn’t hire a composer or songwriter to make any substantive updates to this classic song. I do agree that this is an iconic tune!
The only good thing is her voice, and even then it just doesn't remind me of snow white singing - I'm not talking about Snow White's original singing voice (I get that some ppl think it's annoying), I'm talking about that when you think of Snow White you think purity, softness and kindness so you'd expect her singing voice to be very soft-sounding, not high-paced pop singer
i want to give a lil opinion on this, so i guess we know tht they change the situation here, where in the original it should be snow and the animals who clean the house, but here snow teach the dwarfs how to clean their house. I know tht in the original, the message is tht u have to work hard to get what u want (snow cleans their house, the dwarfs let her stay there) now hear me out, when i compare the original to this one, i feel like this one makes more sense in real life, like u should work smarter than/not harder, right?? cause on the other side, in this song it doesnt seem like snow is forcing the dwarfs to clean their house, but instead she teaches them.. and if u think abt it, it actually benefits the dwarfs plus, i dont think its fair to judge the whole plot from seeing only this part of the movie, cause we actually dont know anything abt the full movie wht do u guys think??

i think this is a director's choice and not because of her. She's a soprano, she literally sang no one mourns the wicked, some POTO songs, and more. Not to mention they somehow uplifted and elevated this version to make it more catchy and a song that will make u feel like dancing (which is working btw)

I do like the concept of The Dwarves singing and cleaning with her and the clapping very nice touch however it was just as I feared and she wasn't singing in the original key of the song. I know that she has the ability to and I don't know why they wouldn't let her. I can hear her singing those beautiful high notes in the middle of the song so it's such a shame that will never be able to hear it. It seems that every time there's a new Disney remake they always have to lower the key even when they do have a great soprano playing the part. Halle Bailey's Ariel in my opinion what's the best when it came to the live-action Disney princesses except for of course Lily James but I don't really count 2015 Cinderella as a remake because they specifically said they didn't do a remake they just did a live action Cinderella with homage is to the cartoon such as the glass slippers and the blue dress etc. In the end credits when she sang A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart makes it was so beautiful that I kind of wish that they had done that scene in the movie. Again Disney missed a really good opportunity. However I will be going over opening day to watch the movie hopefully they don't screw up Someday My my Prince Will come. Fingers crossed everybody.

her career seems to be doing fine last time i checked? her role in “the ballad of songbirds and snakes” was incredible and that film revived the hunger games fandom, plus she’s about to be in a fun horror film produced by a24, and she’s literally staring alongside kit connor in “romeo + juliet” on BROADWAY by the end of this month. i don’t think a couple meaningless interviews from over a year ago would get her blacklisted from any hollywood or broadway production, especially when there’s plenty of successful actors who have said much much worse things. please don’t listen to the rage accounts who twist her words and take things out of context to farm views off of people who got their feelings hurt. they just love claiming that she got herself cancelled when that’s clearly not the case ☠️

Rachel Zegler’s getting so much undeserved hate for a performance no one’s even seen yet. She sounds great! I don’t like these Disney live action remakes (aside from Cinderella) but I’m glad they’re finally casting real singers - Emma Watson as Belle was a travesty for me but I loved Halle Bailey’s Ariel!

Wow, Disney could release the original audio right away, why delay it? This is for fear of the film failing. Snow White literally giving orders to the dwarves, I honestly liked the music better "In the heart of the forest" , much more beautiful. I don't believe there won't be a Prince Charming, that's already a bad sign, there's a risk that the film will fail more than The Little Mermaid. Rachel sings well, but they should have chosen an actress as white as snow, and they should have done it like in the cartoon, I hated those changes.

They squeaked by with Ariel, but the physical appearance is literally in the title for this movie LOL!! Also, like so many others pointed out in this scene, the point was to help the dwarfs (or little children as she thought) clean up so they'll let her stay...I don't recall Snow White storming in the cottage demanding the dwarfs to clean up their own house just cuz...like why?!!...
