George Duke was an excellent, superb, gracious, imaginative pianist. Gone too soon. Rachell is an unusual songstress. She does things that I've never seen another singer attempt.
It's so interesting to see the faces she does and the mouth shapes LOL, all to create different textures and sounds, even thought i don't listen to her often nobody can deny that she's unique and an great vocalist
Talking about inimitable. Whatever it means, I'm sure she embodies every sense of that word herself. With the late great George Duke to top it off, that's a GIG. Loving these reactions of her.
Inimitable simply means "cannot be imitated," and when it comes ro miss Rachelle... Needless to say, she has a very unique instrument and set of abilities, and it's just incredible to witness. I absolutely love this song and perfromance in particular! What I wouldn't give to have been there
Somebody loves him some Rachelle Farrell. I had the good fortune of seeing her waaay back in 1992 for the first time at The Warner Theater in DC. Her voice is like a finely tuned instrument. She almost teaches you about music with her singing. She is truly one of a kind and a humble soul who loves to sing. I adore her...
Yes, this was her prime. Unbelievable back then. She sang with Patti LaBelle she sang with everybody and could hold her own with anybody. Vocal preeminence. FYI, one of the best live tribute performances in the history of television is Patti Labelle’s tribute to Frank Sinatra. And her band and background singers were dope, dope, dope. You haven’t reviewed it yet. You really need to. Frank stood up for her that night, and he only stood up for her and Stevie. It will convince you of her LEGENDARY status In the pantheon of greatest singers and entertainers in the history of the world
Dude, I have loved your channel for years BUT you are killing me with always calling Rachelle (pr. ruh-shell) Rachel (pr. ray-chul). 🤣🤣🤣 You pulled it together midway through and at the end though. Hahaha... Great reaction as always!!!
How many times do you stop yourself from getting out of your seat during your reactions? I got up twice and walked to the doorway for this one...so good!
Apparently im uncivilized because i find her incredibly annoying, exceptionally talented but maybe her music is only for the lords ears because i can not
I don't really get her. If she has such good singing capabilities why does she chose to sing so god damn weird. Never heard her sing a song 'straight' without making these faces and sounds as if she had sudden facial paralysis. Someone please explain and better yet, recommend me a song where she kills it just singing normally.
Rachelle sings this song 'straight'... ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-FrHAlRCSuUs.html She's a Jazz singer, though, so she's expected to ad-lib, to scat, to change the rhythm up...
She's a jazz singer. When you sing in order to get certain ranges and tones, your mouth opens very wide, lips turn, etc. Not trying to look pretty. You must be a music critic. She's a phenomenal singer, but hey to each his own.
