Mine arrives next week. RS high torque was my first choice as I really want low end torque but its not available for nearly 2 months. Thanks for the amazing review. I was only a scooter rider until a month ago and you've got me hooked on the wheels now. They blow away scooters for off road riding and rapid urban transport. Being able to easily hop over medians and up curbs at low speed from any angle is amazing for getting around quickly. I still prefer scooters for long range high speed cruising on the road because they are more comfortable and safe, but the EUCs are so much more fun in other areas.

Damn, I wish I had one of these. Oh wait, I do 🙂 I have to go for a ride now after watching this video. Thoroughly enjoyed it 👍 My copy tends to run hot and I've overheated it multiple times when doing extended trail climbs (not Overheat Hill). Not a deal breaker for me, but it's certainly not a cool running wheel like the S18.

I’m glad you enjoyed the video Marty! I’m glad you have a EX.N too :D I remember seeing it on one of your recent videos :) I didn’t expect that it would run hot! It’s great that you like your hilly rides as they also help out the community with the findings :) my s18 recently died for half a day because I overpowered it! I’m really impressed it came back to life, I thought that was it for the motherboard ;)

@@mr_wrongway Hmmm. S18 died for half a day? That doesn't make sense. Hope you opened it up and took a look at the control board to see if there was any obvious damage. I'd be worried about its future reliability. Please stop abusing your wheels ;-)

Yes it wouldn’t turn on. Just for a split second the lights would flash and then turn off. It wouldn’t charge too. Yes I think I need to check but now it rides absolutely fine. I think that it had too much battery sag at one point and went into a “hibernation” state. I need to jump with this one! That’s why I bought it :)

Yeah. I was already hyped. That's why you can never have enough wheels. But I get the Sherman first, and maybe the Ex.N will be my next wheel after the Sherman. And the price is also right. But I will wait for a 2nd or 3rd batch. Hopefully some problems will be fixed by then.

Thanks for the review! Been thinking of this wheel (or Sherman, or something cheaper/older/smaller like a RS or Nikola) as an option for my solo/group long range wheel, and a lot of your points are very useful to consider. Not sure if I’d be able to push this performance to the max with my limited skill, but it is a sight to behold in these videos!

Calibrate the wheel to lean forward. It will offset the balance issue and give you a lot more control.

Do mean the tire is “out of line” or “out of balance”? Out of line is when your tires wear unevenly, the tires are not square to the frame. Out of balance is when the tire shakes/wobbles at high speed, it usually need to be balanced. I was just wondering what the exact issue was, you could always try balancing the tire on a high speed tire balancing machine and add weights to the rim/tire to balance it out, usually the tire itself has been moulded with imperfections (just like car tires) and will need to be balance for high speed because you don’t really feel it at low speeds. Great video, looks like a blast.

Eucservice offers a 3150wh version of this wheel, they've thrown a 450wh pack in there. It is super tempting and I'm seriously considering getting it. How was your mss, in terms of battery longetivity, since they are different cells than the ones original to the wheel?

i'll give you a tip which will make the EXN even better then it already is...Set the pedal angle to -.1 (front of pedal down 1 degree) . It will give you more control, more torque, more agility, and more comfort. Was a game changer for me. Siuch a great ride!!

Depending on which way that cooling fan blows, I assume blows out the area where you put the filter it will create a negative pressure within the housing so all the air around the wheel is being sucked in. Correct me if I'm wrong?

Looks like this will be my next upgrade. Fortunately or not, my neck of the woods don't get much rain but we do get lots of the white fluffy stuff (choochtech has been riding his test EX.N on snow with zero issues but ofcos its early days). The negs mentioned here are easily mitigated with the ease of disassembly (unlike V11) & while no one likes dust, that's why we have vacuum cleaners. IMO the pos way outweighs the negs. What the point of EUCs if its not fast, nimble & fun? If I wanted ordinary transport, I can go with a 50cc scooter but better yet, a big bore mod scooter. Its cheaper, gets >100mpg with zero range anxiety plus there's no issues of the law on my tail when riding on streets. I've a buddy in a tropical paradise & he loves the EX.N for all your stated reasons plus seated riding. He's faster seated on the EX.N than others riding standup on Shermans. With 3 other wheels to ride, I'm gonna wait for a bit for the dust (pun intended🤠) to settle esp on potential bearing issues. But the EX.N seems like it fits my type of riding needs. I'm glad I didn't jump on the Sherman train afterall.

20 or 15% and your doing 65 and it just started to beep. Sounds like a beast. But then you have to take it apart and make sure its all together right and silicone the wheel to keep dirt and water out of your 4000 dollar wheel. Crazy so fun looking but it a computer with no water protection oya check or ad a fuse to . Humidity ? Hard sell

Every 500km service? WTF :-/ MARTY said it reminded him of the Tesla which I love for the handling and instant accel. You seem to be of a similar opinion. But man did they fuck up on the build. Would it be fine to totally seal of the hole in the wheel well or is it needed for cooling? Would be suoer easy to glue on a pastic sheet and add a grommet for the cable for 100% ingress proof but if it overheats due to that then there is basically no perfect solution. A foam filter will also let water and dust through even if less
