Let's discover defense, attack and... fake attack! :-) The other attack/defense video: • Racing games - Lesson ... Please support me and my work on Patreon: / viperconcept
"The driver who attacks mustn't be frustrated. He has just to insist until the driver in front of him makes a mistake..." This same concept can be applied to many aspects in life. Patience is key to winning battles, and if you can't win by attacking, wait until your opponent makes a mistake. Look at high level esports tournaments, usually the victorious are the ones who capitalized on the other team's errors rather than going out and risking error themselves.
Technically, on small tracks or tracks with winding corners. Another way to block is powersliding/"drifting", its a very desparate tactic, but it works if you know the track. Edit: I forgot to mention, that it probaby won't work with 1) Cars that grip the tarmac, 2) It won't work with rammers[Forza players]
Guilherme Pereira. I did in fact say small tracks( as in narrow tracks like the Nurburgring ) or winding tracks with low speed corners. You obviously don't do that when neck and neck, but use it lets say a car length ahead of your opponet, and you're racing on a small track you can use it to block in low speed corners which can block the opponet behind you. True that you do over heat the tires, but that also depends on what type of car you are using, or what kind of ways of driving the car its best at. So yeah, probably not the best idea. But its an idea lol
I re-read my comment and it sounds kinda rude now. I didn't mean to, I swear! lol Nah but I guess it might work if it's the last lap and it's in a sequence of low speed corners. Though you might not want to do that before a straight.
Juste excellent ! Quasiment toutes les techniques que j'applique sur différents jeux viennent de toi ! C'est toujours un plaisir de suivre tes vidéos après environ plus d'un an et demi :)
Always amazing videos Viperconcept!!!... the last driver was as cold as Raikkonen xDD... thank you for the lessons and the knowledge shared, I've been following you since 2 or 3 years ago, I'm not sure, but I've learned a lot.... greetings from Punta Arenas, Chile!!!!
Viperconcept you are one of the best youtubers there is out there you're lessons made me a better driver from managing my stress to the rules of overtaking, you my sir have gained my respect and for that I thank you
Another great video! You've helped me get so much better at racing games and you keep coming with more and more advice. You are my favorite youtuber. DAB
viiperconcept you are so awasome. These lessons are very good I dont know about car races. I learn hints from you hints when you share new video. Thank you sooo much. I would to see for f1 2017 or 2018 if is possible =)
It's much easier to follow too...my dad taught me stay calm if you can keep up learn there racing line and Kern there week points then you can start to pressure as you know there braking points
Tutti buoni consigli e ottime tattiche. Unica pecca è che nei simulatori online il più delle volte ci sono persone che non sono corrette come noi e quindi il tutto si trasforma in un demolition derby.
I had a iRace tonight at laguna and a faster driver got so upset he couldn't pass me he RAMMED the back of my car two turns from the corkscrew trying to crash me out on the last lap. I survived and finished the lap, he did not. I put myself in the right spot at the right time and he didn't know how to handle it. If I was as fast as he was, I would have passed him in one lap.
When i play with my brothers or friends i do fake accerlation i will only input half throthle and as they are catching up i go flatout i also use this when running
Idk what this tactic is called, I call it pick pocketing. When a car sneaks into you’re inside. You slow down and try to quickly get to there inside and (hopefully) pass them because they can’t get the racing line. That seems to always work really well for me
Blocking the inside is not always a solution, in a slow corner you just have a better exit by turning from the outside, slowly and cross ahead of him. Also on fast corners like Copse, Stowe, Parabolica, Pouhon,.. if you maintain your momentum and keep your speed beside him, you will have the track advantage because you will be able to accelerate wider than him, but it doesn't work if you are a bit behind and it still depends on the nature of the corner.. Also to get a clean overtake in a hairpin from the inside line, to avoid him to cross ahead on the exit, you have to continue slowing down so that he finds himself in no space to accelerate on the exit cause he is slowed down by you (example : Ricciardo overtaking Alonso Hungary 2014 : see how Alonso tries to cross back but Ricciardo positions his car just where it has to be) :)
Thank you for this lesson. Great advice. May i suggest that you do a video explaining more in depth (maybe with examples) what moves counts as dirty/clean when you battle? I often drive very cautiously trying not to block others, i dont know what moves i have a right to do in most situations.
I love your videos Viper concept, just a little thing I want to clear up, correct me if I am wrong but switching the racing lines from inside to outside and outside to inside when attacking and defending is something I assume depends a lot on how much a person knows the track, because if a person doesn't know what type of corners a track has he can't plan attack & defense before hand.
You can go around the outside it is difficult but in a chicane or a fast corner that is not to long and you force your opponent to stay on a tight line you can do it :D
Just want to clarify as a sim racer myself, some of the defence in this video could be seen as excessive. Racing is about picking battles, all you do by defending is slow yourselves down, as you covered Viper. Also some of the moves are very easy to detect if you're the other car, you don't want to telegraph your moves otherwise it's easy to defend or pass depending on what position you're in. Just a friendly tip to all budding racers. Make your moves decisive, but make them undetectable.
You are very tallented i can see that by the way youre taking those corners. No offence but in some corners you stayed hard to protect the inside line but this affected your cornering speed. Correct me if im wrong but before a corner i go from the outside to the inside and that way i do less braking. That improves my cornering speed a lot! Keep up the good work i learned a lot from this vid
I dont finish the video, gonna be a nice video and put my like, but a question,in eeal life,do u do a racing sport like karting,or do u usually go to them to race with friends?
That MX-5 dude is the opposite of me, he's calm and ready to defend I'm either easily ticked off and ready to pressure or pass and then run away under pressure
I'm usually able to keep the person behind me behind me because I do literally everything you just said, I defend a lot, take the inside line at almost every corner if they're too close but the person behind always overtakes me on the straight
5.23 any reason why you dont open up the corner more by going back to the left? seems like you have to slow down way to much by staying all the way on the right
the thing is, when I close the space, I got rear-ended a lot. seems not every racer has the same braking distance. but I have a qustion about tactic. if my opponent is very close to my bumper I lift my gas a bit to force him to lose his momentum, is my tactic considered illegal? it works if someone tailgating me before eau rouge.
Don't think it's illegal but pretty dirty the reason you get rear ended a lot is they aren't expecting you to slow down so there's probably a good .3 second gap before the brake pedal is even touched. If you brake just a slight bit earlier at a corner they might expect it
Me: As a forza player....i love to race clean. Its so satisfying to see how you destroy your opponents not ramming the shit out of them... Also me: *EUROBEAT INTENSIFIES*
