Where do you live? I mean what state? I just bought a 1993 Honda cr250r paid $1800 I kinda feel like I got ripped off. It's my first dirt bike. I've always owned street bikes. But riding dirt looked fun and exciting so thought I give it a try? Did I pay to much?

Dexter Bettincourt he’s actually right in a sense, the yz kept up so well but If he got a better launch he would’ve won because they’re so close In terms of speed.

The second race the yz was creeping on him at top end. Maybe go to the stock pipe on the yz, a bit more mid range.

MeGa MiNd they have different gearboxes so each one will perform different in the gears, mind you not that much but a little. They are meant for track anyways so top speed is irrelevant

The YZ still needs dialed in and so does your shifting techniques! What is the countershaft sprocket size on both bikes? Should have switched riders to rule out any doubt due to rider error! Still entertaining and love the sound of two strokes in the morning! 👍👍👍

bro that cr 250 is stock and the yz 250 has way more upgrades and it still lost . but i think u should rebuild the cr 250 and customize it s a real powerful bike

Cool! Just got myself a MINTY 03 CR 250R with Keihin PWK carb, full pro circuit exhaust, pro taper bars, factory racing clutch, new plastics and graphics, black powder coated rims, and freshly rebuilt! Grabbing it on Tuesday, so excited!!! LONG LIVE THE CR!

Hey man. Great video. Love the cr 250 and yz 250. I own a 2006 Kawasaki KDX 200 and i love it. I think you should get a Yamaha raptor 660. They are beasts!!

Should defo run it again then switch bikes maybe even a couple times. I honestly think the cr won cause chuck’s the better rider sorry I’m not a hater it’s just my opinion. And I’m not pro Yamaha or Honda i just think that’s the only fair way to find out which one is quicker provided they have the same gearing.

So I’m in a pickle I have what is supposedly a 98 yz250 and I bough a new 98 rear swing arm for it and the little brake caliper bracket won’t slide on the back fo the bracket says 97 so I’m wondering if there was a difference in parts from 97 to 98

About the Honda not having a go or anything but you can’t have the bike sitting that long and it expect it to be always right because the gaskets will harden and the fuel in the carb will clog it up but sick video guys. You should get some more vintage stuff love it 👍

Hey I got a question have you ever owned a bike where when you pull in the clutch it acts like it's still in gear and slows you down but when you rev the gas it doesnt grab anymore and when you sit at idle with it in gear and the clutch pulled in it starts to creep forward if you lmk how you fixed it or give me advice on what to do

@@jaydensdream714 no i ride the bike about every weekend it was doing it all last summer and I just did a full top end rebuild and we went through the clutch plates and stuff they all looked good still but nothing changed we flipped them around tho

Cr is a little quicker in the low end and once the yz hits 5th gear it's way faster than the cr! For the yz to gain on the cr that fast in 5th tells you it's way faster in the long run

The cr pulls a little bit harder in 3 gear and in 5th gear you were gaining on him really fast! If you let them go a little longer the yz would pass up the cr!!

What's crazy to me is that the Honda you have is bone stock LOL and the Yamaha has an exhaust and a V- Force Reed cage?? if you were to throw a boyesen rad valve and a FMF fatty or a pro circuit exhaust pipe on that CR 250, it would annihilate the Yamaha. lol I have the same Honda. lol *it's in my picture there) I love that bike. I just rebuilt it from the ground up my damn self. Anyway, it's a fun bike and it's fast man. And I went the extra mile and put on a keihin pwk 38 mm striker carburetor. That cost me like 300 bucks though. But definitely worth it, it starts up, no problem. Usually first kick just about every single time now, and it idles perfect. And it runs really good. So much more power off the bottom and and in the middle. It literally pulls me off the bike if I'm not careful. That bike is fast.

@2Stroke Tyson absolutely true, also one is lighter than the other as well and that plays a major factor in it too. But I only speak for my experience the CR250 in those years from 1997 to 2001 were extremely fast motors. Even by today's standards they're still pretty impressive.

Chuck is a better rider. The mower deck is fine, it's just the angle of the ditch and the weight of the machine and driver. Increase the tire pressure or raise the deck while in the ditch.

I think the CR has on the Jump but from what I saw the YZ would beat it in the end you were catching him fast and then you kind of let off just a bit as you were both screaming down the street. I like Honda’s but I sure like these blue YZ’s best color for Yamaha yet. Eli Tomac looks pretty good when he is crawling up someone ass then blows past them. All these bike are nice now days but zI still gotta go two stroke YZ 250.

Jonas Schuler but who ever built the yz and geared the engine made it for track racing so it won’t ride the best when it’s on the road and on a straight away. The Honda is stock in the power train which is from the factory a middle ground between track racing and road riding
