Jay franklin definitely not true, your kind of missing the whole point 2 stroke theirs only two cycles for full completion, 4 stroke has 4 cycles which is a reason why they are slower, 125cc smoke 250’s easy seen it a 100 times already, that’s why the Crf150r races with 85’s but that’s besides the point

Not happening they are built to be revved at high rpms for long periods the newer Yamahas have titanium valves so you never have to adjust them

I have an 81 KD80 exactly like that. My wife has had it since about 83. It was her first and only dirt bike. My son and i just recently started working on getting it running again. It has been sitting in our garage for about 15 years.

KD 80s are really cool little bikes. Saving the old ones is cooler than buying the new ones. If I had to guess I'd say its a 1976-78 ish ? Cool find Joe.

That's one top guy to let you have a blast on his Motocross bike my last ride was in 2008 when I had a 2000 RM 250 then my baby come an my bike went you only no how much you miss them when you haven't got one even though sometimes I only had it out a couple of times a year it was there,hope you had a good day and a big 👍🏼👍🏼🇬🇧for me to the guy who was kind enough to do that,believe me that don't happen often ... brilliant.

Honda use to make the most kickass 2 Smokers. But Yamaha has the best 250 2 stroke currently IN MY OPINION.

@@austinengerran4225 Youre right about that, but thats just the engine and not the bike or vehicle itself. Honda might have made better 2 strokes and engines, but the riding experience is usually best on yamahas... But i support your opinion.

Dude.....you need some of those TANK STRAPS.....I think S&K cycles a.k.a. BIKES AND BEARDS have them ready to order ....you should definitely have a look at them.....they really work great and are very strong will hold just about any bike up......scope them..... out......fast, easy,and secure way to strap bikes down......

No they are made to be revved high for long periods they have titanium valves to it well never drop a valve or you will never readjust them

XD_watts you can blow a bike up that being that cold especially when banging the limiter when it's cold as balls no matter what it can blow up no matter what it has for motor parts it bogged and he still hit limiter stupid decision he should stay on 2 strokes

Get a clue moron you don't need to frikin rebuild a bike every 25 seconds that thing Rips anyway as is and can go 69 hours till another rebuild just look at the scremin eagle that thing hasn't been rebuilt in 20 years and it the fastest machine on the planet

@@pnwripping6636 lol no I was just ducking with em it's a mod bike so it has high compression so it took a few kicks and the smoke is from the 110 race fuel that they run in there. The 30 second warm up is what the pros do but not when it's 30 degrees out

@@owensaucy the smoke that comes out the exhaust should be christal clear but instead it makes blue smoke wich is oil burning and it should start first kick when warm when its cold its normal to start with multiple kicks

Owen Saucy I live in Western Wisconsin, it's currently 6 degrees and my lube hasn't evaporated or frozen. I use Liquid wrench chain and cable lube.
