Good call on your decision on holding back the beautiful hen pigeon 🐦 .I must say u really Kno your bird's wow !! ...I really appreciate the love 💕 u have for them..
Morning Mike. FYI the birds don’t actually fly in a straight line. They either arc left or right. So when you toss them 70 miles they are flying about 75 miles or so. Will send you a text from one of my books so you can see what I mean. Great call on the hen and good toss. Also if you get home before they do you need to start calling them in as soon as you see them otherwise they will get used to flying around when they get back and you will lose precious seconds on race day. Thanks for sharing. GREG GVJ LOFTS KEEP THEM FLYING 🕊
Doing good with them, what you drove about 1 hr each way. Are you going to use any droppers to land them on the loft when you start racing season. Them landing on the house then flying to the loft was about 10 seconds longer to get clocked. Every second counts on race day.
I don’t think I’m going to use droppers Arcee , They usually don’t land on the house but a couple days before I had a lot of trouble with Hawks and They been acting a little funny I think they will be fine. Yeah there’s a lot of miles when training that’s for sure! I’m not supper serious about the racing thing I just want to see if I enjoy it and want to continue with it in the future. I enjoy the birds themselves more than anything
I have loved pigeons for over 45yrs and I had a good size coop until I got really sick and had to give them up ... I so badly want to have them again and I loved them so much , if one of my birds got taken by a hawk I would feel the pain for days ... Should I or shouldn't I that is the question lol ...
Hi how are you? The birds look great and I am glad you didn’t release ghat bird I would have done the same. Those 14 look great also and I hope they fo well on race day. 70 miles was air mile ? I am glad all came back together 👍👍👍 and now we know why she looked like that she was going to lay an egg😀😀😀 😘😘😘
I’m doing well my friend I hope you are also. Yes the 70 miles is a straight line to the loft so their flight is probably around 75 miles. That hen is doing fine and flying like normal now. I would hate to have lost her for a silly oversight like that but I don’t think I would have lost her she could have taken a day or two to get home!
@@Rocky.Ridge.Pigeons hi. I am glad you madd the right decision and this wayshe rested and will be able to compete. Godd luck on races. When is the first race?👍👍👍😘😘😘
