in this video ("Racing pigeons" Training) I am getting the birds conditioned for road training. They are doing very well so far 👍 Pigeons for sale: sites.google.c...
Hi Mike thanjs for the great video. They look wonderful and as you go further we will find out how they do👍👍👍 good luck. I am happy you had help today in second toss👍👍👍😀😀😀😘😘😘 enjoy them have fun give my live to family
They are doing much better in the past couple days I’m out to 10 miles now and releasing them in smaller groups. They seem to be responding very well. Thanks for your support my friend.
@@Rocky.Ridge.Pigeons I am so glad that things are going well. They look healthy and I am sure the way you are taking care of them they will do very well. I enjoy all your videos and miss racing😘😘😘👍👍👍 at least watching the videos gives a great feeling👍👍👍
You're birds are like my birds this season, only close to racing were they loft flying long. Your tosses will help them get into form! Good video. Way to go Delilah helping out 👏 👏
Thanks so much my friend, definitely putting a lot of work into it this time around. Doesn’t do much good to do everything the same year of the year so just mixing things up a bit. Hopefully it pays off but I won’t worry about it too much. Thanks for the support brother
Here is my two cents. Birds doesn’t fly as long because is not many hawks around this year . Barley need to be 50% of your feed . Birds panting on short distances is normal like my old mentor told me pigeons have a second wind they need to fly long enough so it can kick in in a nice day they come home from 100 m without panting but they look like they out of breath at 20 miles. Your birds look beautiful all molded and shiny . I don’t know but so far this year birds are coming home late I use to get birds at 50 miles in 1 hour now takes them one hour and twenty minutes if I’m lucky . I just telling you what works for me your miles may very 😃
I agree 100% with everything you said. And I also have noticed they don’t breathe hard when they fly longer. you’re right they don’t have any birds of pray up till now. Once in a while I say I wish a Hawk would show up because nothing strengthens up Pigeons like a hawk. Thanks for your input I appreciate it
Your birds look great! I’m flying 3 birds from Rocky Ridge stock. They are doing great! Took 12 birds 5 miles today. They were on the roof when I got back!
My birds have improved a lot in the past couple days I’m up to 10 miles now and they are flawless so far. I need to get a dog that won’t eat the pigeons I have to keep my dogs tied up lol. I’m sure your birds are coming along well keep up the good work
My 3 month olds trip for 2.5 hours out of the loft or a short toss from a mile or 2 but they are Trentons so they like to fly unless I over feed them, all that flying is in 90 degree weather they don't pant much any more I haven't done the dark moult method on mine
Glad to hear your pigeons are flying good. I do believe the difference is letting them sit and eat all they want for six weeks during the dark system but they are getting much better now
They should be as hungry as possible with still enough energy to fly straight home. It’s hard to judge because Pigeons naturally big for food all the time. But the more you do it he will get a feel for it. I never feed before taking them out for training and usually they haven’t eaten for about 24 hours
I like to do as many as I can that I have time for especially if we’re gonna have bad weather the next day or if I missed a couple days because of bad weather
Why would you do an open loft habit? They won’t come when you want them to anymore. They’ll start to find food elsewhere when you’re not feeding them. Definitely not a good idea when racing.
Nothing I would like more than to see my birds free all the time but the Hawks would have a feast. I believe it would bring new birds of prey all the time.
