Ableton has limitations in how it allows you to apply patches in a Drum Rack - learn how to cleverly gear around them with a new idea from Apoth: Rack Patching! Read the full tutorial: djtechtools.com/2015/10/18/rac...
just got around to trying out this method and I'm now back I'm love with making sound packs so much flow when you can play live!! thanks again so much apoth and ditto for all the great tutorials !
Doesnt the transposer also do the button chooser's job? As it also only uses (and optionally transposes) the enabled incoming notes, and blocks other input.
Great video. Is there a way to route the instruments to different midi channels? For example instrument 1 can be transmitted on channel 1 and instrument 2 on channel 2. I tried splitting the keys but the performance gets recorded onto 1 track so mixing it is very difficult. Thanks.
I dont really get what's happening here. Could you not just remap the trigger notes of the drum cells to the note your midi fighter triggers and transpose the samples in the drumrack?
+Padbangers That's one way to do it, but there's some limitation if you resampling and put it in the Simpler (or Sampler), for example: you can't Glide between buttons.
