Here in the states,I've only been able to find Cheshire,Double Gloucester,Dunlop,Stilton,Wensleydale,Derby Sage, and of course Cheddar.They're very expensive here.I'll never understand why they aren't as famous as French and Italian cheeses.

Ignorants shouldn't spread their ignorance. Raclette IS produced in France. In the régions Franche-Comté and Savoie. Actually raclette originated in a region that belonged to the kingdom of Savoie, and back then there was no such as thing as Switzerland.

Thanks for your comment just showing your complete ignorance. The «Raclette» is a cheese with an EU PDO. It means it is solely produced in Switzerland. You can effectively produce any other kind of cheese to melt but it won't be a Raclette. I mean if you don't even know the difference between the Raclette Dish and the Raclette Cheese, you're definitely ignorant. Maybe you should try to open once in a while an encyclopedia. Might do good.
