Thanks for the vid and taking the time to share your experience! I just installed the Big game Bikes 35 amp controller on my RR6+ two days ago (essentially the same as yours) . It provides insane hill climbing power! At 4:07 you have your C5 settings at 5 (75% power) which you said is capping it around 1200 Watts. Have you kept it at that setting? I've found roughly the same results, but I have mine at C5=4 (67% power) capping it just under 1,000 watts peak. It still provides good hill climbing power. I was just wondering if setting mine full time at your setting (C5 = 5) would do any long term harm? Thanks
No problem. Yes I kept the settings and haven’t changed them. The only thing I notice is that my battery definitely doesn’t last as long as it would when I was using the stock controller but that’s expected with more power draw. I didn’t want to go up any higher than 1200 cause I was afraid of melting the motor connection wire. As long as I charge before my fishing trips I’m usually ok for the whole trip, the sand really reduces range because of the resistance.
@@LesFishingMoreCatching Excellent! Thank you so much for letting me know. I may just switch back to C5 = 5. I live in Nelson BC, the Kooteany mountains in Canada, and there's some very steep streets. So for me it's not sand, but climbing hills. That and getting through snow in winter. I never throttle up these steep hills. I blew my stock controller doing that. Rad replaced it, but I wanted more power. I ride all winter and use steel studded tires, and the extra power now will help tremendously with that. I've noticed the lower range on the battery, but I have 2 batteries. I thought about running them in parallel, but I don't think it's worth it. It only takes a minute to stop and swap the batteries. Subbed. I'm going to check out some more of yoiur vids.
I have the Ariel Rider Grizzly 52V that was my 2nd bike it’s got dual motors and excellent at climbing hills. It’s got a top speed of 35mph and has dual batteries 35ah combined total. Next month my new bike arrives the Lyric Graffiti X which is a Canadian Company. That bike will be 60V 40ah. Look out for the video I will make on it!
What is the mount you used for the controller and how do I get one? Also, any advice for cable management? Thanks for video. I used your settings for my RR6+ and it works great.
