What is the mount you used for the controller and how do I get one? Also, any advice for cable management? Thanks for video. I used your settings for my RR6+ and it works great.
Yes mine slightly rubs also but it hasn’t cause any issues. I only use 1st gear on really steep climbs. I think I mentioned in one of my previous videos that it will slightly rub in 1st. Thanks for watching and hope you enjoy the tires otherwise.
I purchased a 14k lumin light off Amazon on sale for 26 bucks, which lasts 5 hours on low which is still insanely bright. Abd 3 hours with high and low together. Imma have 2 of them to switch them out.
The reels have similar seals so I would think it would perform the same. They still are great reels it’s just they aren’t meant to be used or submerged under water for long periods of time.
They are up to Gen 3 now. I just sent my in $20 shipping and costed me $180 to service. I had stripped the Phillips screws holding in the traverse guide to the shaft and told Rob to change them to torx in my emails last year if I send it in. They changed the design to a single Torx now so the reel is all torx and won’t strip. They also put a new middle body on and changed out some seals and bearings and installed the new clicker. I will be uploading a video soon on the service and how the reel is. Expensive but that’s cause I had a Gen 1. I will be doing all service on my own from now on.
That’s exactly what I plan on using it for lighter lures probably half ounce all the way up to 2 ounce. My main purpose for that rod is to throw longer distance on a reservoir/river for smallmouth bass/pike and use it for stripers or fluke ect basically like you said smaller lures 1/2 oz to 2 oz which I think that’s what it’s rated for
Most reels don’t weight what the box says actually if you weigh them. They are up to Gen 3 now. The service was very expensive to get my stripped screws out. They changed the design because I told Rob to change it to Torx. Early adopters of anything always will have issues to be ironed out.
Visser has a recommend grease. They didn’t seam to like my blue yamilube I had in there lol. I normally use corrosion x on my bearings and yamilube on my gears but I’ll check out their grease.
It’s ok. My 4b just came back from Visser after $180 service. They replaced a bunch of stuff like the shaft clicker and traverse block with the new one with Torx. T8 since I stripped out my Phillips screws. I actually have power pro super slick coming this weds to spool up. It was $37 but I like the stuff.
@@LesFishingMoreCatchingwow, 180 usd can already buy you a descent Shimano or Daiwa. Anyways, I own 2 VS and 1 saltx. I just want to feel how Visreel performs against those 2 that I have mentioned. Thanks.
@@DNOYPIANGLER yeah I had a gen1. The new gen3 fixes a lot of the issues that gen 1 and 2 had. Good to see Robert is continuing to improve the reels but unfortunately if you have an older model like me you gotta pay to upgrade.
@@DNOYPIANGLER the X is the new generation def go for that one. Mine had the old Phillips screws that hold the spool shaft to the traverse block which they changed on mine to Torx since I told Robert I stripped mine. Def good to see they changed the design to eliminate the Phillips as I told him that was what I recommended and they listened to me.
I just bought a grizzly and I was having problems getting it to go faster than 20 mi an hour and it's dual motor and dual battery but I love this bike it's got lots of power
VS is now owned by pure fishing, it will be interesting to see the outcome in new reels produced. The slammer and authority are the best reels Penn has ever made, so combining some excellent technologies should produce some really nice gear. Absolutely love my slammer 5500bls, and at 40% off from J&h, it was a no brainer for $129
that reel is epic-- in all my years never heard of bail-less! i miss that smell of bait - lol ..."the sout shuuaa" ...i miss jones beach so much thanks for some relaxing fishing and the sounds of nature are so much better without loud dubstep for the entire time as some producers do in outdoors vids ... i subbed and am glad to "meet" ya
They def are heavier so rotational weight is added but they are a slightly larger diameter so once you reach top end they are maybe slightly faster. I like them cause when I’m in dual motor the heavier tire prevents the front from spinning out of control. Also the speeds I’m going the knobbies are fine on the road and they aren’t that noisy at all. When I go Offroad I have the confidence it will hook up.
Nice seeing the park I grew up fishing, camping off the horse trials , cutting out of school when my junior high school was still off Belmont and it's great knowing it's still producing some good fishing...I live in Florida now ..but I think I might go back and toss a line for old times sake ✝️❤️🎣🏹🛶🇺🇸 . Belmont I still miss you and love you... ❤🎣 .. North Babylon ✝️❤️🇺🇸
Hello. Excellent content. Cool videos. I recently picked up a Visser 4. Haven’t put it to the test yet and may have to wait for the spring run. How does yours perform against bass slot size and up? Gator blues? Been using SaltX 6000 for the last 4 years but wanted something more lightweight.
@@teamwinning4995 I’ll get one up in the shop asap. Yeah I kept hitting mine accidentally and it would disable the throttle got annoying. Ever since I put this on. Haven’t had that issue.
Awesome video. I have a Radrover 6 plus. I'm wondering what your thoughts are in terms of comfort with your handlebar upgrade on the grizzly? Do you find yourself being more hunched over compared to the Radrover? Thinking of getting the grizzly and swapping handlebars right away but not sure how conformable it will be.
Depends on your height and riding style. I’m 5’7” and always rode mountain bikes that have the more forward position. It’s slightly lower than the rad handlebars position although the bars are the same rise on both bikes.
Hey! i just wanted to say i finally finished my (your) radrover build and would love to get your thoughts on it. Do you have an email I could send pics to? I added a few different parts and tweak a few things.(did not get a dropper post but instead a suspension post)
i don't see your email. i dont use instagram so i cant do that. also how do you clean your bike so well? my chain and derailleur are nasty and rusty and i dont know how to fix that. they are lubed and working fine but ugly. for the rims, do you use a rag? it take forever for me so i was wonder if a rim scrubber thing would be better. thx @@LesFishingMoreCatching
hi! i have a quick question. what do you use the front rack for? I'm trying to build the same setup you have going on, but im not sure what the use of the front rack is. What do you usually use it for? thanks!
I got the front rack in case I ever need to bring a catch back. I strapped on an insulated bubble bag and that’s always in the bike ready to hold a fish.
@kenanmammadov7281 no it doesn’t get in the way. If you load it up to heavy I’m sure it will affect handling but alone it doesn’t affect it much at all. The back basket can be put on the front instead of the back with this rack. Some people don’t like a basket on back so they can dismount easier.
