You're setting up your mimic wrong then lol Put some high holy resist armor on him, give him a shield, make sure you have a Marika's Blessing and/or Raw Meat Dumplings on your usable item equipment slots and he can solo the fight.
I love how Radahn seems genuinely impossible, until you realise you can just slap on the shield talisman with the fingerprint shield and poke him to death with a sharp stick taking almost no damage.
That's not exactly how the fight is supposed to go xD (Don't get my comment the wrong way, I'm not one of those nuts that cries if someone fights the game with summons or shield, I was just stating that the fight is absolutely doable without shield poking too once you learn how Miquella works)
@@markobucevic8991 Oh yeah absolutely, with my comment I just wanted to say that I saw some people thought it was impossible without that strategy and that the fight was unfair, but once you actually see how they spawn (the lights Miquella shoots I mean) it's very easy to dodge
It's unbelievable how effective even medium shields are in this fight for some reasons. I mean you're not gonna shield poke with them but still. I originally just took one to cast holy ground but actually ended up using it as a shield.
people that say that shit are stupid. the npcs and ashes are put there for a reason so use them. Because then these people come and complain saying oh the game is unfair and hard and that is because they trying to solo the boss and they suck at it.
I used mimic plus the emo guy, used the cheese thorn spell, and he still gave such a thunderous ass whooping I was maniacally laughing by the end. As far as I'm considered literally anything in the game is fair game against that dude. There's no cheesing, it's pure fucking survival.
The current cheese meta is the bloodfiend arm with high arcane and defensive talisman. You’ll still need to be quick on your feet but if you heavy attack him with a high enough bleed you can finish the boss pretty quick.
Give your mimic tear a heavy giant crusher hammer +25 with prayerful strike on and some heavy armor and protect it with Lord's Divine Fortification. It'll literally outheal Radahn with prayerful strike and you can swap back to tank gear after you summon it.
If you think your damage is lacking, bleed is very far ahead of anything that isn't outright broken. If you're getting close in your normal attempts bleed secures the victory.
Haha nah I mean I’m fighting him but I’m not trying hard to beat him really, I don’t want the dlc to be over. I did this same thing with Ishin in Sekiro, and Radagon. I could do a whole other playthrough but that means it’s over.
My Mimic just kinda walked around a little bit, discussed politics with Ansbach and were being generally unhelpful the whole time! I had to trick Radahn into running into them so they would aggro him! Ended up just going with a shield build since I simply have no chance in phase 2 otherwise
Bro the amount of times I had to kite frehya and shield guy into ansbach during the Leda fight, and most of the time he would just miss, not take any aggro and I'd have to swing around again. Dude lived the entire fight though to be fair, he pulled his weight when he finally did something
Best part is this works against every boss in the game, maybe bar the Fire Giant and Maliketh Bonus tip: use a staff to cast “scholars shield” on your shield, you recommended Verdigris shield and while amazing, for Radahn specifically the Haligtree Crest Greatshield negates holy damage by 98% for his second phase, and the fingerprint shield can be infused with any ash of war so there is plenty variety As for the proc stick, Antspur rapier is one of the only thrusting weapons in the game that can trigger poison, scarlet rot and bleed in one using poisonous mist and setting it to bleed affinity Good luck everyone
You can also try parrying him if you don't want to respec your build. I recommend using the buckler or a shield with carian retaliation/golden parry. Makes the fight much more manageable than just rolling
Funny thing, i gave myself a duel bleed omen killer cleaver build and me, ansbeck, and mimic chewed him up good When he wasnt one shoting me of course XD
The Reduvia can be clown tier with two of them and another set of hands with them, but fucking up dodges by a micron is how you end up on the grill with these fights.
no hate or shame if you use mimic or any npc summons, the only reason i would argue you should try to beat the bosses the first time yourself is it gives you this sense of euphoria knowing with enough trial and error you had the ability to deal with the hardship yourself and not rely on any other means but your own ability to do so, it's a feeling that just can't be matched, if you already beat the boss with summons one time i genuinely don't believe even if you do it again but by yourself you could ever feel that same level of ecstasy everyone's play styles are different though so gatekeeping or throwing shade at anyone for using this, that, or the other is redundant and does nothing but hurt the community imo
Honestly, this fight is straight up easier WITHOUT any summons or spirit ashes. Both just make him more unpredictable and his hitboxes are so huge and his constant 2nd phase AOE effects so frequent and he's so aggressive that A: he's probably gonna hit you anyway if you fight him melee even if he's attacking someone else, and B: he will instantly aggro and close distance if you fight him ranged. Also the summons give him more health. You do *NOT* want to give this guy more health.
After seeing that radahn in his prime was weaker than current scarlet rot radahn, I’m honestly tempted to actually use a mimic for him for the first time
Fromsoft could release a boss that was literally actually impossible and you'd have troglodytes parroting this shit. Is your only standard for bosses whether or not they're possible to beat? Does the moveset being fun to learn and dodge not matter to you at all? We could have had a final boss that was just as hard as this one while still being fun.
