Exploring the remnants of the Radarturm Weesow - an experimental Radartower built by the Nazis in 1943 close the Flugplatz Werneuchen in Brandenburg, Germany.
Initially equipped with the FuG 404 - also known as the Jagdschloss Radar (the first "plan position indicator" radar), it supposedly was directly connected to the "Leitbunker Tiergarten" in Berlin. The radar tower in Weesow was later used to test the "Rundsuchgerät Propeller", which was destroyed after an accident during testing in 1944.
The tower survived the war unscathed, but was stripped of all technical equipment by the Soviet Red Army and was later used for target practice.
The tower was placed under monument protection by the State of Brandenburg, and was sold to a private buyer in 2005.
